DUDE! You are simply fantastic! What a fascinating, educational...and entertaining, video! Many thanks and carry on. Peace be unto you, my brother of the six strings.
Thank you my brother! This lesson cleared up a lot of my problems with the number system. I have been playing music by ear for so long, I have to refresh my chords and progressions. Very clear lesson. Excellent!
Wow!! great lesson and great feeling, thank you very much for sharing your knowledge, this will be very useful to increase my vocabulary
Outstanding content in this lesson! Thank you!
Love this very good instructor
Wow, Les brown, you are an inspiration buddy. I thought you only did motivational speaking. good for you man.
Bunch of gems here
I can give you a godly kiss my brother... you opened up some things that OTHER musicians and guitarist could not explain properly.... I saved this video a long time ago but I was not ready for it until now... no one explained triads like you did... I knew what they are but didnt know how to form them on the guitar... they are rather simple if you understand root, 1st inversion and 2nd inversions and movable chords... and chord scales + knowing your notes.... this video was extremely helpful with helping me get the sound that I was missing. I was playing a minor ONE when it should have been a major ONE.... mine didn't sound BAD with other musicians but I know my chords never sounded like THEIRS and you helped me realized why... it was simple... I was not adding the major 3rd to the ONE. I was playing everything as a minor or a dominant 7, which is a b7 and b3 but the sound I was missing was the major 3... and the triad 3-5-1 gave that to me thanks to you.... either guitar musicians are selfish and dont want to help others, either they dont know what the chord names are or they simply dont know how to teach.... even with calling a Bb a B I still could follow along with this and you are on point and gracious to show others how to play.... I appreciate you... Im hoping and praying your channel is monitored and God is blessing you according to your giving spirit. I know Theory but Im learning how to apply the theory into application. I am currently writing a book about music theory, I would love to feature you in my book. if you are interested please inbox me on my channel... God Bless you. you gained a subscriber as well as a new like.
Great video ! Thank you for putting this together! Really helped me.
Love the color of that axe!!! That’s sharp! Great tone as well 😁. Thanks for the lesson, you make jazzy music fun 😁👍🏼👍🏼
You are a life saver. Just got a church gig and I wanted to make sure I got things down right before I showed up thank you
This is what I needed! I really appreciate "The Turn Around". I appreciate you teaching it with clarity without going too fast. Thank you for also calling out the chords while showing us good finger placement for them as well. Thank you for taking your time teaching this. Definitely will take my time learning this one.
You’re so welcome
Bro. Thanks for the vote of confidence!
@@TheeChurchGuitarist Sheree doesn't look like a "Bro" to me. Am I missing something? Woman play guitar also... Sister Rosetta Tharpe quickly jumps to mind. Elizabeth Cotten quickly follows.
Thank you I really appreciate the knowledge given!! God Bless
❤ luv what you can do my brother you are a great teacher
Thanks for keeping it basic and simple. A man who died I remember him playing some of these chords
I’m just getting started on guitar. I feel like this is everything I needed. And my guy is a great teacher!!
God Bless you in Jesus Name, thank you brother for your lessons and playing with us!
Gunna get my praise on. Thank you brother
Thank God for you
very nice DL, thank you!
Thank you. Your Gretsch guitar is beautiful. Your timing is impeccable. Your right hand is like a metronome you are a great player. Thank you for this wonderful lesson I will be studying it.
Thank you so much
Very pretty and pleasing melodic playing on such a lovely sounding guitar. As a guitarist for book trailers about comics who seeks inspiration, your instruction here is nice since you clearly explain how to use specific chords and model them at various speeds as you emotively play. Cheers!
Agree! best lesson I have ever gotten!! Thanks brother!
Five seconds in and I like him already
This is a great tutorial. Ive been a bassist for over 10 years now and ive been learning guitar for about a year now. Its stuff like that BbMaj Eb lick thing that ive been dying for. Guitarists have all this cool vocabulary ways to sound rhythmic over chords that im in a rush to learn haha. Right on bro
Master class, Amazing.
life changing! great
Yo when you started tuning that had me TRIPPIN 😂. The faces you made. I know that feeling all too well and I only started playing a week ago
They never played sings like that in our church... we only had an organ.
I gotta convert.... fantastic lesson
This was so helpful! Thank you!
Awesome 😎
Beautiful lesson boss. Tnx. A great inspiration to beginners like me
Great strumming and nice tone
Great video thank you
Thanks for the tutorial! You are saving my LIFE lol I just got back into playing lead guitar for my church and I’m definitely struggling with a lot of the really “churchy” grooves and sounds. I’m moving along slowly but surely, and this video helps tremendously🙌🏽
You guys are doing the same.... Thank you!
This caught me off guard. Very good lesson. Was looking for something like this. Great job!
Man the right lesson on the right time, thank you so much for this! Liked and suscribed!
Nice video. I’ve watched it twice already, but I probably need to repeat another couple more times. I’m planning check out your other videos!
Man I cant wait to rock my church with this
Great channel!
Old guy, here! I just started learning praise/gospel guitar thanks to UA-cam tutorials like yours, although I’ve (kinda) played guitar for years. Your style and tone in particular are what I’ve been looking for. (I’d like to hear you tear it up in a performance setting). Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I’m sure I’m not the only person who’s loving it.
Great looking guitar, btw. I hope UA-cam-based music instructors are getting support (maybe even endorsements) from some of the instrument and gear companies out there. If not, then you should, because you’re selling the hell out of that Gretsch.
Thanks for this. Very helpful.
My brother You killed-it! Thanks
Thanks!
I see I have a lot to learn from you! thank you so much
GREAT LESSON👌🏽👌🏽
Your right hand is the juice man. Great rhythm feel.
Superb teaching thank you so much
Just subscribed looking forward to more lessons your very concise and very likeable. God bless😊😊😊😊😊
From the intro I knew this was gonna be great!
This was really helpful. Thank you.
Great stuff
Great video...made me realise as Englishman in London just how much I've been influenced by gospel music. There's a lot of jazz in there. Been teaching myself some gospel piano stuff and this vid pulls it together...gotta love that Pastor TL Burnett! Many thx.
Very helpful video ..........and this can be used in a lot of other genres as well.
Every good lesson.
You betta play🔥🔥
This is a very nice lesson. Could be for a beginner, but probably not. This is one of those lessons that's informative for someone who can already play a little. Much kudos to this guy and his teaching style.
Very GOOD lesson
Thank you so much!
