Amazing how each example unlocks a popular song. In this lesson I heard the building blocks for songs from Neil Young, Supertramp, Kansas, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin and more.
Great Stuff. I like the C/G at 05:45. I figured that out back in the early eighties. It was my one chord song I called "The Post Office Song" . Keep up the great lessons. I'll lbe watching for more.
Yep. I usually don't do the alternating bassline as I'm not a country player, but the C/G chord itself works great when playing solo acoustic and wanting a little more depth to your C chord.
This is so informative and well done. Make more like this please. I’m transitioning from beginner to intermediate and this is so helpful to add a bit of spice.
Excellent speed lesson and great way to bring alot of info..love it..Great stuff bring us some more.. I can play well but knowing these chord names and memorizing names is a struggle to find and my weakness....awesome lesson...I can play Dust in Wind very well in a line you eluded too in your quick riff in the lesson.. but lose the chords' names and recalling name..I know theory since elementary school and still playing for 50 years and last year still a Saxaphone Guitar jazz rock pop player . A really great lesson.. good teaching style! Keep it up ! I'm subscribed...you fit my continued learning style..thank you.
I spent months trying to figure out ‘Dont Think Twice it’s alright’…. I mean let’s be honest Dylan played it differently each time anyway…. But these tricks helped me get a unique sound to my version of it
Outstanding, It's been helpful for me to keep my guitars next to my chair. I play for several hours daily. I retired now, and have the luxury of time. All my best to you & yours.
I haven't played guitar in a loooong time and I just bought one a few weeks ago. I can strum chords but have been wanting to take it to another level. I've been a bit stuck on where to start and this lesson, along with your other chord lessons are a great way for me to sound pretty decent and toughen up my fingers with daily practice. I really appreciate it.
Soon, there is going to be the rapture. It's when there will be trumpet sounds, and after the trumpet sounds, God will lift his people from here. Also, God said people should be living by the Bible. Amen, and God bless you. ❤Jesus loves you guys. Dont wait, please. He will welcome you with arms wide open.❤ ❤* John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have eternal life". ❤
I tried prayers once, I used to pray to learn guitar 😊 when I was a kid I wanted to play guitar really badly. Now I'm an adult I can play guitar really bad 😁👍 Fkin Pro mate. Also stop bothering gods. They got better shit to do. 😉
thank mister....some crackin little triks there for an old fellow to learn.....esp la bamba! i agree with others your a good teacher....well paced and with a pleasant smile.....take care bud
As a complete beginner in my late 20s, this video was incredibly helpful, you got a like and a subscribe from me brodie. Hope to see more videos like this!
Excellent video! I would suggest when someone’s learning the alternating base that they simply use their pinky on the third fret of the low E string- I think it’s much more efficient - also, I learned to play the C major chord by always putting my pinky on the third fret of the low E string; by doing this you don’t have to mute your low E string. I believe it sounds brighter and really rings out. Thanks for the video.
Impressive video, Feedback Guitar Academy. Looking forward to seeing your next upload from you. I smashed the thumbs up button on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! I loved how you broke down the various tricks for the C chord. How do you think incorporating these techniques can enhance improvisation for beginners?
Someone in the comments says this is too advanced for beginners but I disagree. If anything it teaches beginners how to sound potentially better than they probably are. I guess it depends on the person but I know when I was a beginner I would have loved to see this.
The chord you are calling a D suspended (1:05) is not a suspended chord. A suspended chord has no third, it is neither major nor minor as the third is “suspended” with either the second or (more typically) the fourth replacing the third. The chord you played is made up of D, F#, G, D and A. The F# is the third for D major so the chord cannot be a suspended chord. It would be more correct to call it a Dadd4
Didn't learn anything new in this video. But I enjoyed it, nonetheless. Your guitar sounds great and your enthusiasm is contagious. Everything you showed us was spot on correct and well executed. I'll be checking out more of your videos!
Click on my channel to see a video of me playing Norwegian Wood in G using that sliding C chord shape, twice I’ve posted long explanations how to but they’re deleted for some reason.
For a new player, these types of videos remind me of trying to figure out how tennis is scored. In tennis, the first point scored is 15; the second point is 30; then the third will be 45, right? No, the third is 40. Then the fourth doesn't even have a number, it gives you the advantage because the fifth point wins the game, so the fourth point is called advantage. So, you're playing the exact same way, with the exact same lines for balls going in or out, the same rackets and balls, the same serving motion, but the scoring seems like a couple of drunk British guys came up with it at the local pub.
Amazing how each example unlocks a popular song. In this lesson I heard the building blocks for songs from Neil Young, Supertramp, Kansas, Leonard Cohen, Led Zeppelin and more.
good lesson, easy to see, hear and visualize

Good job, I was always wondering you do that.
Love this guy.
Du bist genial!
Very nice. Well explained. I heard Dust in the wind, and Susan by Leonard Cohen. Well, that opened up a few ideas for me.
I was thinking the 3rd voicing was Dust in the Wind. Very cool

Thanks for the info brother. Btw are your parents Josh Allen and Nick Thune?
Fluffhead ! He was a man
With a horrible disease (glad I’m not the only one to hear it)
Click on my channel to see a video of me playing Norwegian Wood in G using that sliding C chord shape, twice I’ve posted long explanations how to but they’re deleted for some reason.
That C D F G sounds like 'American Girl' but in a different key.
FLUFFHEAD!!!! - phish
👍👍
👍🏻
Sounds are great, but this too advanced for beginners like me. I'll be back later on.

As a beginner really stretching my fingers
Awfully nice Taylor Amigo
Sus = Suspended.
Bro..,your ten miles from the camera, are you suggesting we can see what your doing with your fingers as your shouting things? Come on man! 🤦♂️😂
When the day comes, I can actually make a C chord, I'ma use this!
Great lesson ! Thank you
