Just getting into EVE (seriously new - didn't know you could place bookmarks or whatever to warp to). Just been looking at mining videos and stuff. This was a good video; despite most of the terminology going over my head (which is fine considering I'm so green) I got the idea of how it all operates. Pretty cool, will definitely have this as a goal to work towards as I fly around in my Ibis.

gas sites pay most of my plex and that was before the Prospector was ingame ,it's a great ship,congrats on 1k

Hello! Thanks for this vid very helpful. I’m new to the game so this question may seem silly: once warped in, do you orbit the cloud away from the rats or just maintain straightline distance from the rats? What’s the correct flight path to avoid them while huffing basically. Thanks!
Same question I guess I missed it. Your orbiting the massive cloud, but at what range?
Orbit at 0
Yup, orbit at 0 or 500m. Your gas scoops have a max range of 1500m

allright so get perch but when goto huff you warp in at 100 of c320 correct? if warp in at 100 how long before able huff mean since ratts are to far hurt? and what is orbit set too?

Thanks for that, very helpful. Forgive my noob ignorance though, but trying my third cloud and trying to Jedi huff it... How am I supposed to target a cloud that's apparent 'targeting point' is 100 km away when I have 22 km lock range? Then, how do I harvest gas from 100+ km away when my scoops have a 1.5 km range? Have things changed recently or am I missing something? Thanks!
The cloud has big diameter, doesn't matter that you're 100km away, if you're around any part of it you can lock on it counts as 0 until you get out of it's diameter.

do you have a chart were you look up which gas is best and how do you decide which one you take?
Mostly I just keep an eye on the market prices, but there are a few very useful services out there that i can recommend for what you're asking. Look up 'Nolak's Updated Karr's Modified Rykki's Guide 1.5'

You can kill those battleships with a cap stable naga and t1 guns by staying more than 140k away and kiting them to death.
I wanted to look into sniper fits for other WH sites too, as you say the battleships have a max range of 140km. Are you able to share the Naga fit with me?

Its pretty slow if you only use one, i used to use two and it went really well. I have bad skills also. 1 definitely works but it takes patience . I've only used them on instrumental cores.

As long as you do it specifically on the C320 gas cloud, you can just set your orbit to 500m. Then if your ship can maintain 2000+m/s it should keep you out of range :)
