Sinners are effectively immortal (apart from being killed by angelic weapons), while Hellborn have natural lifespans. Stronger Sinners can become Overlords; basically, Sinners that own other Sinners' souls, making themselves more powerful in the process.
Well, not all Hellborns have natural lifespans. The Hellborn that possess royal status are as immortal as sinners. Those include Charlie (the princess and heir to the throne), the Deadly Sins and the Ars Goetia. All the others have natural lifespans, with their biological aging being a little slower than that of a living human.
Well... immortal might need some further explanation. Sinners can absolutely be hurt and killed in all the same ways as a Human, but their bodies will regenerate and they'll revive, once all vital parts are back. Even if a the body gets completely destroyed, they'll still come back after a while. Unfortunately for the sinners, this process is very painful, which is why most of them try to avoid "dying" even when it's not permanent. The only way a sinner can be permanently killed is, if an angel kills them, which is exactly what's happening in the cleansing. Angel exterminators come down once a year to cull the population of hell, to counteract the overpopulation. Royal hellborn have a different kind of immortality, since they are immune, or at least highly resistant to mundane sources of damage, so it's effectively impossible for sinners and mortal hellborn to even cause damage to royal, much less kill them. Presumably they would be able to kill each other and angels can probably kill them too. Whether royal hellborn are also able to perma-kill sinners has not been mentioned yet, as far as I know. The overseers like Alastor by the way, are all Sinners. An example for a royal (other than Charlie obviously) would be Stolas from Helluva Boss.
So Hell has a hierarchy, basically a power level system. 1. Lucifer 2. Lilith & Charlie 3. The 6 Sins (Lucifer is the 7th) 4. Ars Goeta (A Royal family based off the Lesser Key of Soloman) 5. Overlords (Sinners who have obtained souls to gain supernatual power) 6. Sinners (People who died) 7. Hellborn Demons (Succubi, Incubi, and so on) 8. Imps & Hell Hounds (The 'Help' of Hell)
Okay, so to answer some questions and important info: The pilot came out on UA-cam in 2019, the series came out in 2024 after being picked up by Prime. The pilot is supposedly not canon, but gives some great background imo, even if it doesn’t relate to the actual series. The voice actors are all different in the series as well. The series is a bit harsher than the pilot. The restrictions will be tighter, you will need to blur and cut more. If you die in Hell, you eventually pull yourself back together/respawn. Unless you’re killed by Exterminators, then you’re gone for good. You’ll find out what that means in the first episode of the series, same with what the “Cleanse” means. There are SO many details in the show, don’t be afraid to pause and look at the backgrounds. If you watch Hazbin Hotel and love it, watch Helluva Boss next! It’s entirely on UA-cam, on the same channel, and takes place in the same universe.

It wasn't an unzip noise. It was a radio noise. The types of noises that usually accompany his voice in the background. And it wasn't an air-horn noise like from a can. It was an AIR-HORN noise like from a TRAIN.
Alastor's look was just sheer shock and panic. He's canonically asexual and definitely not interested in any sex. He's always smiling, it's part of his character.

This was a cool reaction! "Smile like you mean it" with the radio Demon and "welcome home" with Bendy and the Ink Machine are fan made demon songs that do a wonderful job at giving life inbetween canon stuff. Fans create insane things with the characters.

I'm not fully certain about Hellborns, but I think if they die in any way, they just cease to exist since they have no Souls (so I assume they sadly can't go to heaven, even if they live a good life). Btw; Charlie is a Hellborn as well, but in contrary to the Imps, Hellhounds and other Hellborn Demons, she has a Soul.
When it comes to Hellborns, only those with royal status are immortal like Sinners. Vaggie was worried that Alastor would actively try to destroy what they are trying to do at the Hotel, but Alastor doesn't want to actively destroy it. Alastor wants to sit back and watch as the souls fail to redeem themselves, not actively make them fail. Alastor doesn't think it will ever work so in his mind he doesn't need to do anything...... the word was overriding.....meaning to override other things....
It's not said in the show but Sinners who die in hell will come back after a moment. Excpect if they're killed by angelic weapons like during an extermination

Hey Luke, quick note regarding your question: "It's awesome, how this is youtube" - Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss series were both created by Vivziepop (an animator who started on UA-cam). Helluva boss which started airing after Hazbin's pilot was left as a youtube project and Hazbin has been transfered to Amazon Prime after 4 years after the pilot aired
Just some context for the rest of the series: Originally the show was planned to (I think) be a full 24 episode season, but when Amazon found the project and took it in, they only allowed for 8 episodes. If the Amazon series feels a little rushed, it's probably because there just was not enough screen time to cover all of the details that would have really made the series shine.
I've really enjoyed Hazbin and Helluva Boss, Vivzie's animation style is just so distinct and fun. I'd suggest seeing the animation she made as a music video for Kesha's "Die Young", but I think it's been removed from UA-cam, which is a tragedy.

In the Hazbin/Helluva universe, basically the more soul contracts sinners make and own, the more powerful they become. But hell born royalty demons will always be stronger than sinners and overlords.

She's the one with fire powers, not Katie. Hehe. 23:17 Since it isn't brought up properly in the series pilot or full series I'll explain. This isn't a spoiler, just a clarification of in universe rules. Sinners, like Angel Dust, can only be killed with Angelic weapons. However everything else still hurts them normally. They just can't die from it. Meaning for example if someone were to die a weight to Angel Dust's legs and throw him into the river. He'd be left drowning until rescued or the chains rusted. This also means losing a limb, eye or other part of the body isn't permanent. It just takes ages for a Sinner to pull themselves back together and its painful the whole time. Continuing on from this point. Hellborn races, like Charlie, are split into two class. Creatures like Imps, hellhounds and creatures like those can die to being shot, stabbed and so on. Creatures like the Seven Sins or Charlie can't. They're born with powers and magical protections that mean only Angelic weapons can kill them. Similar to Sinners. Oh I should point out Sinner's are human souls that were damned to Hell after their death. 26:00 Dude I'll be happy to give you a breakdown on her after the first episode of the full series that comes out. Though yes her name is Lilth and you might have heard of her. 29:38 Just to further clarify this. Human Souls become Sinners when in hell. They cannot die to regular means. Only angelic weapons. Meaning they can take ungodly amounts of up to and including being mulched in a blender. After which they will eventually pull themselves back together, but its extremely painful and slow process. 30:39 Something else the show doesn't clearly explain. Sinners, like Alastor, can become more powerful while in hell. At which point they become known as Overlords. They gain this power mostly through getting other Sinners to sell their souls to them. Convince another of hell’s inhabitants to sell their soul to you in exchange for a big favor, and you get a measure of power, as well as control of an individual, or perhaps a particularly powerful demon might offer you a measure of their own power to you in exchange (of which Alastor is the former). I’m also pretty sure that Alastor practiced voodoo magic in life too, augmenting his power further. Demons who obtain a high measure of souls and/or territory like Alastor has are classified as Overlords, and they are about midway up the power scale in Hell, above the sinners and native hellborn, but below true demon Royalty, the 7 Sins, and Charlie’s family (The Morningstars).
The royal demons you are talking about are the Ars Goetia, which includes Stolas from Helluva Boss, and are directly above the Overlords at the hierarchy.

Angel dust is pretty sympathetic and its worth rewatching the pilot to pick up subtle clues. Like angel for a brief moment trying to cheer her up with a bad joke about the hotel getting guests, feeling bad, and reaching out about to say something before he changes his mind and walks away. Angel Dust's song Addict (music vides on youtube) gives a brief glimpse of what he is going through.
Pls do it in UA-cam, the series is great and I believe that it's youtube doable. Many creators already did it like that, so it should be relatively safe.

Princess is different because she was born in Hell and not sended here for sins as all other sinners. So that makes her normal, and in comparison to other citizens of Hell she is very cheerful and happy. P.S. YOu need to react to 2 songs that not in series, but they is canon and released before Amazon series. Its "ADDICT" Some Angel Dust lore (there is after credit scene) And "INSANE" by Black Gryph0n & Baasik. Black Gryph0n is the voice of Alastor in this pilot. This song is about Alastor thoughts when he just wakes up in Hell first time.

Answering some question that were not talked about in the show, so it's not really a spoiler because its information people gathered in posts, twits from the creator or even side stories. When people died in hell their bodies regenerate slowly in a week or more depending on the amount of damage, and it feels like dying, but you don't. People can be killed permanently if you use angelic weapons, the spears the exorcists use, when they die their souls disperse, and they vanish for good, sometimes living an imprint in the world like an eye or a body part imprinted into a wall, mostly eyes tho. Also, there is a difference between Hell born demons and Sinners. Sinners are people who died and when to hell, they are immortal and are 95% of everyone you see in Hazbin hotel, The hell born demons are born in hell, they were not humans and some are even not complete nuts, they age and died as one would expect, they can hell woulds but often with scars and anything can kill them, and they are immune to fire, sinners are not Alastor aka the Radio demon was killed when Radio was something new in our world, he used to work in a Radio station and was a Serial killer and cannibal in our world, when he died the word went around of his crimes, since he was famous as one of the first radio stars There are a lot of Theories about what makes someone powerful in hell, How many souls you have bound by a contract with you, how feared you are, how you died and what kind or life you had. If you put that on paper, maybe he was the first ever serial killer to be known worldwide, he was not just a murderer but a serial killer and a cannibal, he enjoys and thrives in human suffering, maybe just the fact that he is willing to do anything for control is already enough reason of why he is so powerful

I absolutely love this show. Ive been enamored since it released, Ive seen it through a dozen times, and I never tire of rewatches. I highly recommend it. Its not perfect, nothing is. Its so enjoyable though. Charlie is my absolute favorite. Shes sweet and loving but is no pushover. She goes through such a variety of emotions over the show and you love to see it. Shes not just "Happy disney princess" vibes all the time.

You will enjoy this, although there are some definite themes you have to expect due to Angel's profession. There are usually around two really quality songs per episode, and all the actors/actresses come from Broadway, so you can count on quality performances. Vivian also is very good at telling stories.

Well, if you're doing this, let's do this. It's a great show. I binged watched the full first season over two three days, and I want season 2 already. It's not child friendly, but it's super fun for the rest of us, lol. The music adds to the humour, in my opinion. And I agree with no blank characters, no one personality trait and that's their whole speel. As you get to know them, their personalities unravel more, but they're still mysterious. You wonder if they can be redeemed or not. You, see who puts on a mask who is authentic, etc. In later episodes, you'll see just how truly brilliant the writing is because they bring up real-world problems in this creative world. I really think you'll enjoy it. ❤

You don't really get answers you can kinda guess the biggest theory is like the number of souls you rule over is directly tied to you power ect still doesn't fully explain his power off the rip but him being classified as an overlord possibly the highest rank a mortal can receive and ruling over millions of souls with the other overlords makes sense and he's tricky and a deal maker and stuff so maybe he cheated someone out of power to gain enough to rival the others or maybe he's just the main character Himothy built different

I'm not a fan of musicals either, and I've had some of these songs on repeat, which is crazy. If no one's suggested it, I think you should try out watching some of the fan music that came out before the Hazbin Hotel series this year. I actually stumbled upon this whole thing because of a UA-cam music video by The Living Tombstone called "Alastor's Game". I loved that tune and then realized it was an actual character and not Alastor Crowley (which was my assumption). Check out that song and another one called "Insane" by Black Gryph0n. If a Sinner dies in Hell they basically respawn at some point as long as their Soul is intact or as long as they weren't killed by angelic Weapons.
I'm not fully certain about Hellborns, but I think if they die in any way, they just cease to exist since they have no Souls (so I assume they sadly can't go to heaven, even if they live a good life).
Btw; Charlie is a Hellborn as well, but in contrary to the Imps, Hellhounds and other Hellborn Demons, she has a Soul.
When it comes to Hellborns, only those with royal status are immortal like Sinners. That includes Charlie (of course, since she is the princess of Hell), the Seven Deadly Sins (since each rules one of the seven rings) and the Ars Goetia (a family of royal demons that are directly above of all the other demons, being them sinners or hellborn, except for the deadly sins and the royal family of Hell).

Alastor wants to sit back and watch as the souls fail to redeem themselves, not actively make them fail. Alastor doesn't think it will ever work so in his mind he doesn't need to do anything......

Helluva boss which started airing after Hazbin's pilot was left as a youtube project and Hazbin has been transfered to Amazon Prime after 4 years after the pilot aired
I love Hazbin Hotel because it seems to combine the wholesomeness of a Disney series with the unhinged grotesqueness of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac.

Just some context for the rest of the series: Originally the show was planned to (I think) be a full 24 episode season, but when Amazon found the project and took it in, they only allowed for 8 episodes. If the Amazon series feels a little rushed, it's probably because there just was not enough screen time to cover all of the details that would have really made the series shine.

I've really enjoyed Hazbin and Helluva Boss, Vivzie's animation style is just so distinct and fun. I'd suggest seeing the animation she made as a music video for Kesha's "Die Young", but I think it's been removed from UA-cam, which is a tragedy.

In the Hazbin/Helluva universe, basically the more soul contracts sinners make and own, the more powerful they become. But hell born royalty demons will always be stronger than sinners and overlords.

23:17 Since it isn't brought up properly in the series pilot or full series I'll explain. This isn't a spoiler, just a clarification of in universe rules. Sinners, like Angel Dust, can only be killed with Angelic weapons. However everything else still hurts them normally. They just can't die from it. Meaning for example if someone were to die a weight to Angel Dust's legs and throw him into the river. He'd be left drowning until rescued or the chains rusted. This also means losing a limb, eye or other part of the body isn't permanent. It just takes ages for a Sinner to pull themselves back together and its painful the whole time.
Continuing on from this point. Hellborn races, like Charlie, are split into two class. Creatures like Imps, hellhounds and creatures like those can die to being shot, stabbed and so on. Creatures like the Seven Sins or Charlie can't. They're born with powers and magical protections that mean only Angelic weapons can kill them. Similar to Sinners. Oh I should point out Sinner's are human souls that were damned to Hell after their death.

Meaning they can take ungodly amounts of up to and including being mulched in a blender. After which they will eventually pull themselves back together, but its extremely painful and slow process.

I’m also pretty sure that Alastor practiced voodoo magic in life too, augmenting his power further.
Demons who obtain a high measure of souls and/or territory like Alastor has are classified as Overlords, and they are about midway up the power scale in Hell, above the sinners and native hellborn, but below true demon Royalty, the 7 Sins, and Charlie’s family (The Morningstars).
The royal demons you are talking about are the Ars Goetia, which includes Stolas from Helluva Boss, and are directly above the Overlords at the hierarchy.

Angel dust is pretty sympathetic and its worth rewatching the pilot to pick up subtle clues. Like angel for a brief moment trying to cheer her up with a bad joke about the hotel getting guests, feeling bad, and reaching out about to say something before he changes his mind and walks away. Angel Dust's song Addict (music vides on youtube) gives a brief glimpse of what he is going through.

Princess is different because she was born in Hell and not sended here for sins as all other sinners. So that makes her normal, and in comparison to other citizens of Hell she is very cheerful and happy.

Answering some question that were not talked about in the show, so it's not really a spoiler because its information people gathered in posts, twits from the creator or even side stories.
When people died in hell their bodies regenerate slowly in a week or more depending on the amount of damage, and it feels like dying, but you don't. People can be killed permanently if you use angelic weapons, the spears the exorcists use, when they die their souls disperse, and they vanish for good, sometimes living an imprint in the world like an eye or a body part imprinted into a wall, mostly eyes tho.
Also, there is a difference between Hell born demons and Sinners. Sinners are people who died and when to hell, they are immortal and are 95% of everyone you see in Hazbin hotel,
The hell born demons are born in hell, they were not humans and some are even not complete nuts, they age and died as one would expect, they can hell woulds but often with scars and anything can kill them, and they are immune to fire, sinners are not
Alastor aka the Radio demon was killed when Radio was something new in our world, he used to work in a Radio station and was a Serial killer and cannibal in our world, when he died the word went around of his crimes, since he was famous as one of the first radio stars
There are a lot of Theories about what makes someone powerful in hell, How many souls you have bound by a contract with you, how feared you are, how you died and what kind or life you had.
If you put that on paper, maybe he was the first ever serial killer to be known worldwide, he was not just a murderer but a serial killer and a cannibal, he enjoys and thrives in human suffering, maybe just the fact that he is willing to do anything for control is already enough reason of why he is so powerful

I absolutely love this show. Ive been enamored since it released, Ive seen it through a dozen times, and I never tire of rewatches. I highly recommend it. Its not perfect, nothing is. Its so enjoyable though. Charlie is my absolute favorite. Shes sweet and loving but is no pushover. She goes through such a variety of emotions over the show and you love to see it. Shes not just "Happy disney princess" vibes all the time.

You will enjoy this, although there are some definite themes you have to expect due to Angel's profession. There are usually around two really quality songs per episode, and all the actors/actresses come from Broadway, so you can count on quality performances. Vivian also is very good at telling stories.

Well, if you're doing this, let's do this. It's a great show. I binged watched the full first season over two three days, and I want season 2 already. It's not child friendly, but it's super fun for the rest of us, lol. The music adds to the humour, in my opinion. And I agree with no blank characters, no one personality trait and that's their whole speel. As you get to know them, their personalities unravel more, but they're still mysterious. You wonder if they can be redeemed or not. You, see who puts on a mask who is authentic, etc. In later episodes, you'll see just how truly brilliant the writing is because they bring up real-world problems in this creative world. I really think you'll enjoy it. ❤

You don't really get answers you can kinda guess the biggest theory is like the number of souls you rule over is directly tied to you power ect still doesn't fully explain his power off the rip but him being classified as an overlord possibly the highest rank a mortal can receive and ruling over millions of souls with the other overlords makes sense and he's tricky and a deal maker and stuff so maybe he cheated someone out of power to gain enough to rival the others or maybe he's just the main character Himothy built different
