Where else in the world have you ever seen a js300 in full race trim? I just did it because its different. 440s and 550s are all slow now compared with today's late model skis so less worry about making old school go fast and more about making it freekin cool instead!!
Hey mate that's a nice js300 you have there. I'm in the process of restoring my js300 with 155 psi motor an a kerker exhaust just waiting on a carburetor. my js was last running in 1991! The hull still looks like is was on the show room floor
ive done all the builds, and thisone is cool. i cant imagine how hard it was to find all those aftermarket js300 parts! and guys the js300 had 30hp, the 440 had 27hp lol, the 440 only went a lil faster cause it could get more rpms, but the 300 was more powerful, lighter due to only one cylinder and actually responded to throttle because of its reeds and the single cylinder. that must be a fun little ski! lol, probibly light as hell too! let me know if u want to sell it, it would be a cool addition, though its not the fastest lol, i think its cool though! ive had it all, sxrs, superjets, 750sxi, js440, 550, 300, so my opinion on this counts! lol, great job my curent build is a 550 shortened 6 inches, 650 pump cavity, 650 pump, 750 big pin motor, all the mods done to the motor, rockered nose, aluminum pole, tubbies, all the average mods like bars, grate ride plate, prop, nozzle, quick steer, ext. its gonna hit 55+ mph. and be a hell of a freestyle ski, wouldnt compare to a rickter though.
Thanks for watching. This was my first Jetski and now I have had it for 16 years. It goes amazingly since the rebuild we clocked it doing 35MPH! As you mentioned it has a surprising amount of get up and go and a real character ski to ride.
mi thinknig about getting a js30 and a js440 550 conversion with tons of extra parts asking price 650 for the whole kit and kubutle im not into this sport so much i grew up on a zxi1100 idk if i will be dissapointed or really idk what to think any advise for me when buying my first stand up? i have never ridden a stand up either
300sx hull is wider, shorter and thinner. Similar to a B.O.B. It is one of the best hulls from the factory for freestyle but it is extremely under powered with the 300cc engine. The js hull is narrower more unstable. 550sx skis use a js hull but have an upgraded 550 cc reed valve engine.
That is a matter of opinion. Usually in the early 90s the 550 js or sx or 650's and 750's where raced more and the 300js and sx were for recreation due to the smaller motor.
+Michael B Ok ,also I’m 16 and I want to get a jet ski just to ride for fun. What should I get? A 300 ,440 ,550 or 650? I don’t want to get a 750 or 800 because they are too heavy.
Duderocks5539 It all depends on your budget. If you want a ski to jump waves for the price I'd recommend a 550. They are a lighter hull than the 650sx and more power than the 440s and 300. But if you have the budget. I'd get a super jet. A 650 or 701 or even a fx1. But if you are looking to spend less than 1000$ go with the 550. 1991 and up if possible (better Reed valve engine)
Nicely done! That ski is show quality. 👍
The Kerker pipe is a rare find.
Too cool! Just picked up a 650SC.

That's a sweet setup. You really did a nice job on it!
Is that a reed spacer on it. And were did you get that tank from
This is awesome! So good seeing older ski's getting some love.
Thanks I'm glad this build appeals to some people. The 300s still seem to cop a bit of abuse on the forums!

Very clean! I'd love to have one. Sounds awesome too!
@muffen40 Thanks I have only ridden it once since the rebuild it really rips now!
If I ever saw this or one that clean for sale I would buy immediately
Pretty cool!
very nice ski
amazing work! its really nice!.. where did you bought all this things? ill been searching for competition parts for that motor without any succes
Thanks I collected parts for years before rebuilding so hard to say how much it cost. maybe a grand?
Nice and clean you should keep it that way :) But why did you go for a single cylinder not twin?
What hi / low jets are you running on you SBN carb?
Is it pretty quick now?? It looks so freaking nice!
quick? js300? what you smokin bro😂😂
@@elicarter1356 about as quick as you replying to a 9 year old comment
@@jaredvanhorn9523 lol that’s funny😂
Awesome !!!! Tell me were did you get that gas tank. Thanks.
@ndrcprochaos it is running a supertrapp waterbox. From what i have heard your ski will run like a box of shit if you dont run a waterbox.
where did you get that exhaust ? how much ?
kinda a waste because its such a small motor but still great clean build good job
Would of been better investing ur money in to a 550 or 650 engine conversion, would of been better.
did u take out the waterbox? what are the benefits of removing it? i wanna take mine out but idk if it will it ruin the engine
i think that hull would much rather have a 750 though

What is the different between a standard JS ski and SX ski? For example what’s the difference between the JS300 and 300SX?

Did you ever replace the impeller?
Did you ever answer what this fuel tank came from? Couldn't find it in the comments...really want to replace my poop brown tank lol
Where did you get the kerker
what Fuel Tank is that
Know anyone with a js300 carb? I need one for my 86
Mikuni BN38 carbs are pretty common. Easy to find on eBay. I probably have 4 or 5 in my garage.
