      probably not going to be even close to Wooting 60he or Keychron Q1. They have much more experience making keyboards and especially with rapid trigger. Roccat has never made super good keyboards and also the oprice isnt just right for what you get. If they get the quality, sound and other things right, they are almost quaranteed to fail at software that only few companies have gotten right with rapid trigger.

    if sound and feel are your thing and you use your keyboard for both gaming and typing... there are other keyboards that have HE switches if you don't want to go down the whole wooting customization route, like the Zoom75, Boog75 and KeyChron Q1 HE (if you want wireless) are options to consider and are in this same price range.

    • @qscorner
      @qscorner 3 місяці тому

      @@user-ih5ze8xp1j Thanks for your mentioning those other boards, as they weren't on my radar - although work better and sound better are subjective. I tend to like different sound profiles, plate feel (bounce, flex, stiffness) and change up what I like across my keyboards (plates, foams, switches, gaskets, springs, lube and film all play a part). Right now typing on the Boog65 for the past week - the board feels solid, firm alum plate but not so much that bottom out feels harsh, the switches feel similar to L+F Tangies (which I like) and with the PE/and case foam it has nice "thocky" sound signature to me which again I like. So, far the performance of the switches and software haven't not given me any issues and work for me.... but again subjective to me ;-) - But, glad to see the hobby moving to more HE and EC boards of late.

      0.1mm is a super super tiny sensitivity, it's no wonder when bottomed-out it could get accidentally deactivated no matter how much one swears that his finger never moves. I think Razer did something to their design to ensure that at bottom out, it doesnt get deactivated accidentally.

    The main reason razer doesnt allow it is telemetry, the analog functionality doesnt interfere with memory slots.
    I guess it could be possible the storage is not big enough to save the profile? But they do the same thing with their mice. Some settings are never saved properly to the mouse so you are stuck and cant just ditch synapse.
    There is a 3rd party app for rgb that works on most razer products without needing the synapse software running. But who knows what other features you'll lose but haven't noticed 😂.

    I just got my Huntsman v3 Mini today and the software and keys are absolute shit.
    Synapse has a million restrictions and bugs, up to the point where it just crashes on launch until you hard reset the keyboard.
    Every 5 minutes, a rapid trigger key that is COMPLETELY pressed, is detected as not pressed at all, making your character full stop until you completely release the key and press it again. Note that I used conservative sensitivity settings for WASD. 1mm actuation and 0.4mm RT.
    Maybe I got a bad copy, but I am disappointed as hell.
    I heard similar stuff about SteelSeries, so I'll try Wooting next. Their software seems a million times more customizable and actually stores the settings on the keyboard.

    the huntsman v3 has the worst spacebar i've ever tried in my life, awful stabilizers and it might get stuck if you press on the sides, the sound is atrocious as well.
    Happened with 2 different units. Wooting is on another level and the software is 100x better as well. My 60he will serve me for many years. luckily i don't like tkl's but the new 80he looks awful.
