Hey I’m up here in Toronto Canada. I got my hands on a Traildust First Edition. I have the leveling kit on order. I am getting mixed signals that it will void my warranty. Also with talking to my Toyota service guy. He also mentioned that the laser for the cruise control and lane assist may be effected. Please advise. I want to change the rims and get larger tires.
Can you make one for the gx550 kit next please ? I know they are a bit more involved with the electronics being attached to the shock with its variable drive modes and what not so would be a bit more involved but would be super helpful
Great video and very helpful. Question on the rear shock, why loosen the top nut instead of the lower nut? I’ve always removed the lower nut on 120, 150, and 200 series. Anything different on the 250?
Stock suspension travel is 8". The ride height is right in the middle with 4" of bump and 4" of droop. Increasing the ride height by 2.5" will leave you with 1.5" of droop. This was measured on my 250 LC with premium package.
@@jeffwarnerPHOTOcom This was measured on my STOCK LC 250. The kit in the video is a spring pre load 2.5" lift kit. This kit doesn't increase suspension stroke, all it does is raise the ride height. So you are left with 6.5" of bump travel and 1.5" of droop travel with this kit.
Regarding the GX would this lift kit affect the eKDSS feature of that vehicle? My understanding is the presence of the KDSS can make lifts more complex, at least that was the case with the old hydraulic KDSS from the last gen TRD Off Road 4Runner.
@@dobbingo9313 we have done a bunch of testing with the system on the GX with and without the lift and have not had any change on how it works. We have also done a hand full of full suspension swaps on the new GX and continues to work the way it was designed.

I have a question. I was told that when doing a lifting, the track bar also needed to be upgraded. On 2024 Land Cruisers, does a track bar need not be upgraded?
How does it ride like after this lift kit installed? I heard people complained about this similar lift kit on Tacoma, and other. Not sure it is true or not. No doubt it looks awesome with new stand (leveling)
@@americapride these trucks all come with a P load tire which is a passenger vehicle tire. So very soft riding and light. I emphasize all the time when people are picking tires not to get E load tire or even a D load tire if they can avoid it. This is what has the most effect on ride quality when lifting these vehicles. It will also have the biggest effect on mpg over anything you do to it. We designed the new Tacoma and Land Cruiser lifts not as high as we could just to keep a smoother ride.
@@westcottdesignsif people already ran with E load tires, they should not add preload collar lift kit to their LC if they want to keep those E load tires?
@@dukatista657 it rides just fine. It’s more about the tires that are selected for the vehicle. It comes with a P rated tire from the factory and you need to find a C or D load tire not a E load tire.

Just purchased one for my wife. Would like a professional recommendation for tires. I was thinking about 33” looking for somewhat aggressive pattern but still good for roads. Any shops in Texas that we can take it? What is your opinion on breaks upgrades (Tacoma TDR pro package) to replace original. Thank you and congrats on the video. Seriously? Is it just me, or this guy has done everything or most critical parts wrong. None of the suspension screws got torqued down within factory specs. The LCA were torqued down with vehicle on the lift instead of on the ground. The front shock top was torqued down with the impact gun. And last, are those rear spring pucks pressed against the bare metal (body), because if they are then you're asking for a disaster. This vehicle is destined for many premature failures.
