- The 2024 adventure-ready Toyota Land Cruiser is a significant departure from the luxury vehicles that have carried the name in recent years. We tested a variety of wheel and tire combinations together and are here with OUR fitment recommendations for the 250 Series of this off-roader.

Best illustration of this topic. Thanks for doing this!
Great video. Can u summarize each wheel and tire size combo u tried under the more notes? That would be helpful.
I'd love to see the fitment of those 40 offset wheels with the 11.5 width version of the AT4W 35s (35x11.5R18) . Still the same contact issues on stuffed steering, or does that extra inch make an impactful difference?
Any chance of a similar video for the GX550?
Stay Tuned
Can you make OEM offset? I hate when wheels stick out past the fender
That is the best part wym
Does the bump stop extension kit work with the gx550?
Can you do an updated video with 20" wheels? What is the largest size tire it will fit without a lift kit?
Great video. And great information. Thank you very much.
Maybe I missed it, but was this all at stock ride height? Impressive if so and exactly what I needed as I want wheel/tires now, but waiting on aftermarket for small lift/level to drop that doesn’t impact down travel like pre-load lifts do.
Thank you Icon because we’ve all been wondering!!!
Toyota should offer a bigger tire package (35") like Ford does with the Bronco and Jeep with the Wrangler.
You know how they do it, really simple. But I agree, offering more wheel and tire options would be great.
What if you ran a 33" with an 18mm offset would it still clear the fender?
Are you moving the bracket (shield for the stabilizer disconnect mechanism) from outside of frame to inside of frame?
Hello, I have a 2024 Sequoia Platinum with the TRD off-road package. Do you have a similar solution to increase the tire size without changing the suspension?
Are you guys going to do a similar fitment guide for the GX 550?
Is the lug pattern on this new LC the same as all 4Runners?
How will 285/65/18mm offset look/ fit? Thanks for the great video.
The BEST educational video. Thank you very much for putting the time to create this amazing video.
Nice video. Thanks. I would like to see more clearly the "poke" with a 285/75 and both your +25mm and +40mm offsets. Don't suppose you have this info?
Do the GX550 next please!
Super informative video! Can I ask a dumb question? Has there been any sort of lift kit installed on this vehicle? Sorry if it's implied that it's all stock, but I just want to be sure.
Does this LC have stock suspension? or has it been modified?
Great video but I’d like to see 295/70/18. That would be my next step after a 285/70/18. With the other sizes you have demonstrated we can probably imagine but would be nice to see
Awesome video very helpful :D
Quick question, im planning to run a 1 inch hub centric spacer to run with the oem 20 inch wheel and tire combo. Will the 1 inch spacer clear the studs?
Great video, I understand this stuff a little bit better now.
Great explanation. Will this explanation be the same for the GX 550 premium+?
It is in the works now.
Just what I was looking for. Thanks
I'm curious, how wide are those 18 inch wheels? I'm guessing 8.5. Right?
Are those on factory suspension or leveling/lift kit?
Thanks ICON being waiting for u guys to do this
Thank you, Johnny Bravo!
Honestly I don't think the minimal rubbing calls for any trimming. You will only have that a few seconds at a time offroad
What is the fuel consumption like?
I’m not exactly sure what size, but Ryan over at Driving Sports TV put a larger set of Faulken Wildpeak HDs on his and still gets 21 MPG. I’m not sure if they are 33” or 35”
Where can I buy Nitto tires in the United States?
Awesome video.
Rookie question- what does full compression mean? That’s not standard ride height correct? Thanks and great video
I’m not well versed in this topic but, full comprehension means when the suspension is touching the bump stops. If never go off-road, very little chance you ever get the suspension to articulate to that point.
@@JuanGarcia-ok6je thanks
IVD. Struth - this LC250 Prado is going down a rabbit hole via plus fitments ! ! Would be interested Downunder what suspension systems you guys and gals offer for the RHD market vehicles, with respect to tight wheel/tyre clearances. This might need assistance from their LC300 Dakar 2024 rig for advice ? ? V.
Did you mean to say 33x12.5? 33x11.5 is not available in most tires
285/70r17 (295/70r17 is a real 33×11.50) is considered a 33×11.50
@@gen1c8rs88what about an 18 in wheel?
Great vid. Don't know how much the LC will like an extra 30 pounds at each corner, though.
There’s a video by dissent off-road that is running 37” tires and they say it has plenty of power and the ride is good!
@@bma7978 Yeah saw that. Pretty sweet. It'll definitely run them no doubt. Just curious about that extra weight/stress on the drivetrain long-term.
offset is not needed for 285/75/r18 on lc250...nice try selling those offset rims lmao
HEIGHT, not heighDTH
The quality of this vehicle is such a downgrade compared to my runner i was disappointed. NO THANKS 😂
The 4 runner is larger than this. I’ve seen a few on the road. It’s a very small vehicle. It’s not tall nor wide. My son said it looks like a vehicle he would see in Lego City. Cloth seats for $58,000 is insanity. I’m looking at the 2025 Yukon AT4 that requires zero modifications and you can fit this Land Cruiser in the back of the Yukon with its rear seats folded! Fact!
The 4Runner is not larger than the LC.
@@aregal buy an AWD Corolla. All three are about the same size! The Land Cruiser and Corolla both have 4 cylinders and tons of plastic. Save money with the Corolla! Cheers!
@@Isovapor haha
@@aregalyeah the 4runner is bigger. I sat in it and the Land Cruiser doesnt have 3 rows while the 4runner does. No argument there because It is very Narrow inside the LC as well. 😂
@@Anomize23You couldn’t be more wrong 🤪🤣🤡
That 4 cylinder is going to struggle with those larger tires!
It won’t, i saw another build with 38” tires tested, running smoothly
@@perz400 give it two years. These tires will destroy that turbo 4 cylinder. A 4 cylinder belongs in Corolla and not a Land Cruiser! Fact!
Except that’s not a 4 cylinder. It’s a 4 cylinder with an electric motor on top of it.
@@Maxime-ho9iv even worse! Cheers!
@@Isovaporexplain to the class how a turbo will fail in two years. Show your math.
Its not offroad focused! Theres no wheel and differential lockers so no way are you going anywhere serious because youll be stuck in 5 min. Toyota has lost the plot! Focused on hybrid and carbon. All new vehicles have had problems
285 65 18 is the same as 285 70 17? Are the suspensions stock?
Please make a video of 285 75 r17 with this set up, thanks
This Land Cruiser is the FJ that failed with a double price tag. The Toyota Corolla 4 cylinder with these giant tires should give you 80,000 miles if you don’t actually take it off road. Fact!
