We often hear people talk about how a song or piece of music has stood the test of time. Well.... this song is a perfect example of that phrase. It's a stunningly powerful and beautiful piece. Thank you John.
this is one of the most brilliant men ever, but look also at the talent of the members of the orchestra, all so committed, so perfection, and i defy anybody to find a better provision and production of such a brilliant masterpiece
The Master and his masterpiece . Never fails to evoke a tear or two. Check out flash mob Landau version. Awesome. don’t make them like Mr Miles anymore. 😢

One of the key players in Tina Turner's 50th Anniversary concert which I saw on TV as a tribute to the late great queen of rock and roll. RIP John Miles and thank you for this enduring classi.
This has to be up there with all the greatest "Tunes Of All Time. Could be should be & Will be mixed with future Number One Hits for many years to come! Thank you John Miles for a class act way back in 1976 and still a class act of the future!!
Fantastic to see John Miles again. I saw him perform in Earls court, London in 1975, supporting Elton John. It was the Louder then Concord but not quite as pretty tour. My first visit to see a huge star. Happy days
I think music is everyone's first love just watch tiny tots reactions to music it says it all , this is why i love this song so much it will live on forever 😊
Played this music at a bandcamp in Jönköping, Sweden 1981. Totaly 110 players in Brass band and woodvind orchestra and 10 drummers. Guess if I got goosbumps that night in church.
Fabulous, I am not a Geordie even though my parents, grandparents were from Tanner's Hill, but a bloke from Middlesbrough who bought this single when it was released, worked in Jarrow, Hepburn, lived back in Wallsend, best single ever ❤

Such a underrated artist. Great! Went to a John Miles concert in the late 70s at Wimbledon Theatre. Small venue with a great atmosphere. Awesome live act.
@@Bruce-1956 Or should I say he never had the credit of other artists. After the release of his 1st album 'Rebel' he hardly heard of, despite writing many subsequent albums, a few I own. Underrated.
Bought the Album 'Rebel' after hearing this back in the good ol' days. Then bought 'Stranger in the City'. A part of my childhood was lost when he passed but hey thanks for the memories!
First I heard this Song flying back from the Olympics 76 in Montreal. I Was totally exhausted, but this epic music made me alive and happy. Thanks John Miles

Love this song. First time I heard it was on radio Luxembourg, you used to hear it fade in and out. The guitar solo started faded then got loud with better reception, I'll never forget it. Was sad when John had passed. RIP
