Based on the timings, I don't really see the advantage over a $20 toastie machine. In fact a toastie machine will let you make 2 sangas at once.

You would be better off with a Jaffle iron for runny fillings, plus you can use pastry on those. 😉
Hungry jacks should buy these and cook their bacon in the microwave. No one would even know the bacon was microwaved. Result would be super crispy.
Greggo, preheat the toastie maker for 1 min, add your toastie and cook for 2 min. It’s perfect every time. Stops the cheese melting out too. Had mine for 3 years off Amazon and use it twice a week. Just put it all in the dishwasher pulled apart and has never let me down.
I purchased 1 of these a few months ago, and it’s freaking amazing 🤩 I pack it in my suitcase on my travels. I won’t leave home without it ❤

That looked pretty good, but I'll stick to making them in my frying pan. Takes about just as long to cook, and easy to clean

My absolute favourite toastie is Cheese and beetroot. Cheese slice, beetroot, salt, pepper, cheese slice. Yum yum

@adrianoconnor4120 It's quicker than a regular toastie maker or jafffle maker. It's lightweight & portable too. You can take it anywhere you have access to a microwave so it's handy for people travelling in caravans, hotels/motels, workplace kitchens, truck drivers etc. They're not to be used by kids or people with severe disabilities of their hands though cause they get SCREAMING hot!
It's also safer for people to use if they have food allergies as it prevents cross contamination. You can keep it cleaner by using baking paper to hold some of the mess
Misses takes this to work 1 day a week she absolutely loves it...And so do her workmates who drool over her toasty....
@@lmaree200886 Not really quicker if you want to make more than 1 toastie. Still impressive to see how crunchy the bread was after it was removed from the nuker.
@@RBtoobsalot Simply buy a couple like I did and make two sandwiches in two makers ready to cook them right away or can actually use the maker up to 4 times in one go even if the plates are still hot.

Love these. If you’re just doing cheese or ham and cheese I’d cut the time down to maybe 2 mins then 1 min. I also butter on the outside of the bread and use baking paper to make the clean up easier. Also, there is a FB group for people interested in exploring it more. Just used one in Alaska and Hawai’i the last couple of weeks for breakfast snacks etc and use here too. Cheese and pepperoni is also the Ho. Explore the timing would be my recommendation.
There's a Facebook page dedicated to this device. Plenty of tips, varying degrees of success.
I used to have a set of Rangemate microwave pots from TVSN 15 years ago
This tech has been a thing since the 1950's!
I have 4 of these in each colour! They're brilliant for cooking many things and great for single servings of frozen foods like chips, nuggets, pies, sausage rolls, hash browns, chicken tenders and I've even seen people on FB make PANCAKES and square fried eggs in them and gyozas and heaps more!
So glad the reflection in the microwave window didn't show you wearing Daisy Dukes. That worry over with I suggest putting a microwave proof paper plate under it and serving on that to recover your lost cheese.

Grilled bologna sandwich. roast beef with cheese with au jus on the side. It came out looking pretty nice. And endless possibilities. Grilled cheese 🥪 👍
you can get them for just a few bucks but I'm not sure if trust knockoffs not to have some dodgy chemicals

Lol good luck finding them! There's over a dozen different types of microwave toastie makers in Australia but the Kmart/Target ANKO ( both companies are owned by Wesfarmers since 2007) are constantly sold out within hours of getting stock in stores
