Of all the Reaction clips I've seen of this flick you are the 1st that recognized that they were eating Pistachios in the car outside Ludwig's office. Doesn't anyone eat them anymore? And the 1st to recognize Reggie Jackson!
I love that when Leslie Nielsen died, ESPN published a eulogy "Remembering the great Enrico Palazzo" (it's still on their website). It's one of those things, where you instantly realize that, "Yup, Leslie Nielsen would have absolutely freaking loved this!" Though not as brilliantly written as John Cleese's eulogy to Graham Chapman, it's still perfect for this context.
The public O.J. seemed nice and it didn't hurt that he was a very handsome man. I did and do like him in the Naked Gun movies (and I believe he was also in The Towering Inferno). I guess he was a way more better actor than he was given credit for, when you think of his history of domestic abuse, even before 1994, that the public had no knowledge of.
Ricardo Montalban's character on Fantasy Island was Mr. Roarke and Herve Villechaize played Tattoo the "the plane!" guy. I remember every Saturday night I'd spend Saturdays watching (in order): A Star Trek re-run followed by TJ Hooker, Love Boat and Fantasy Island. What better way to spend a Saturday night when you are 9 years old? The Sami are an indigenous population living in Scandanavia, though their largest population is in Norway. Lapplander is an English term and is considered insulting, much the same way that as calling an indigenous Australian I think Nielsen meant to say getting his privates bit off by a Lapphund a small dog that is very powerful.
Laplanders are a tribe of reindeer herders who live in Northern parts of Finland. Reindeer meat is actually really delicious and Santa don't mind. There's plenty of reindeer going around, so he will have no problems finding some for his sledge.
Your mom’s faces throughout the reaction were just priceless. I’d highly recommend another film in the same vein called “I’m Going To Git You, Sucka”. It’s the first film from Keenan Ivory Wayans before he started In Living Color and the Scary Movie films. It’s a fantastic parody film.
Finally!! Someone that knows those are pistachios. And recognizes John Houseman. Although, I thought he was better knows as Professor Kingsfield on the Paper Chase. And Dr. Brothers. AND you read the credits.
One of the funniest action comedy movies ever made! It pokes fun at the buddy cop genre as well. OJ Simpson is in the movie as well as the sequels. His last film was Naked Gun 3, three months before the infamous murders of his ex wife Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.
Mum mentioned "Ghost" as the Zuckers' mother is in this _and_ Ghost. Ghost was directed by Jerry Zucker, cowriter of Naked Gun (his brother, David, directed NG tho.) Props to including Mums in movies and in reactions!
I believe "Laplander" refers to indigenous group of Sami people in northern parts of Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway) and Finland. The term is bit controversial, as Sami people themselves never have called themselves as such.
Ricardo Montalban was in Star the original series in the episode Space Seed. He played Kahn, leader of a genetically enhanced human beings who tried to take over Enterprise. Kirk and the crew stopped him. He reprised his role in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Would love to see reactions to the Hot Shots movies as well. Charlie Sheen is solid in the lead role, but Lloyd Bridges steals every scene he appears in.
One very subtle joke was including Dick Vitale among the announcers, for two reasons. One, he only comments on college basketball, and two, he would never, ever be silent during a broadcast.
he is serious! and don't call him Shirley! oh wait! wrong movie! the trilogy Naked Gun was made before OJ Simpson's trial of the century... fun fact is the actress Susan Beaubian who plays OJ's character's wife also plays the jury foreperson in American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson!
You two should do The Naked Gun 33 1/3. The third and last of the Naked Gun trilogy. And, hey, how about the 1976 horror film 'Grizzly'. They claim that film is Jaws with claws.
A "Laplander" means a person from the indigenous Samii people in Sweden, Finland and Norway, traditionally herding reindeer. Supposedly in the old days they used to castrate their reindeer by biting their balls off.
this movie is based on true events; the 1980 republican national convention. and we've been paying for it ever since. and that wasn't priscilla presley's real beaver. it was a stand-in.
Your Mum's face during the "Nice Beaver!" scene was priceless
I had to replay that part, because I loved her reaction so much.
I'm glad they kept that in. I was waiting for the mom's reaction to it. 😂
The beaver reaction was everything I hoped it would be.
🍿🎥📺🎞️📽️🎬📼🎫🍿😁😀🇸🇪👌👍🍿🍿
😳
The mayor of Los Angeles was played by Nancy Marchand who's also was Tony Soprano's mom.
This was John Houseman's last movie credit. He passed away on October 31st 1988. The Naked Gun was released posthumously two months after he died.

No joke, your mom is the first reactor for this movie I’ve ever seen who knew and recognized Ricardo Montalban.
Never mind. I made a Khaaaaaaaaan! reference but then noticed that you were talking specifically about reactions to *this* movie.

11:29 "THE POLICE STATION", "THE HOSPITAL" etc is my favourite background joke on Police Squad/The Naked Gun that nobody ever notices.

Laplanders used to neuter the reindeers by biting the nuts off.
Not only in Finland - most of them live in Sweden and Norway.
The director’s mom was also the woman trying to put on makeup in Airplane!
First time for me as well! Best joke for me was the beaver scene. That was JAWDROPPING.

Yep!
Simpson was the second Nordberg -- in the original Police Squad! series, there was a different Nordberg played by Peter Lupus.

(they meant the laplander dog)

The actress who plays the mayor also played Tony's mother in The Sopranos.

The layers of comedy in these movies are infinite!
Poor Enrique Palazzo's career will never be the same.

Leslie Nielsen never fails to make me laugh. Him and Mel Brooks.
Leslie & I are from the same hometown, Regina, Saskatchewan
& my auntie owns the house Leslie & his family lived in until he was about 4 years old 🙂
26:45 There's Frances from _'Pee-Wee's Big Adventure'_ 😄
Naked Gun 2.5 is the best in the series.
*RRR* won an Oscar for Naatu Naatu!!! Y'all should react to the performance. It was absolutely incredible! 🎉

The brainwashed assassin bit was clearly taken from the Charles Bronson movie "Telefon".
Supposedly, ZAZ were relieved that POLICE SQUAD was cancelled because they were afraid they were running out of gags.
yes

Remind me to never invite them to dinner.
Remind me to never invite them to dinner.
i think they meant the laplander dog 😂
Yahtzee!
Nice beaver.
Your mom is extremely sharp, nothing got by her!!
Thanks for the video!! See you later!! Stay safe.😊
A Laplander is a breed of dogs, on the large side, of course...
A laplander is a very large breed of dog.
Ferris bueller I think u guys would like
Top Secret next!
You've got to try "Top Secret." Also the condom scene was the reason Bo Derek turn this film down. Gee, I wonder what she's doing now?
A laplander is a type of saw
& dog, which is what they meant
What about leathel weapon 3 and 4?? :)
Please watch the movie "3 idiots" next
Watch Rajamouli eega movie…it’s about reincarnation
Hi there :). Is it possible for you to react on The Usual Suspects (1995) ? :D
This movie is the best of the best.
Adding it to the list! 😊
