The newer T5 has a Ryzen 9 5900x and a 3070 graphic card, and a 650 watt power supply (which seems a little wimpy if you plan to upgrade parts. 850 watt seems more realistic.). Legion tends to not use enough cooling paste so in the event you have processor cooling issue, clean and re-paste and replace the Ryzen fan that Legion uses with the standard AMD fan recommended for your Ryzen processor.
PSU requirements for RTX is only a myth. My Lenovo T5 with 550W, MSI RTX 3070 and AMD Ryzen 9 uses around 130W when idle. On most heavy PC games it rarely uses over 300W. In fact. This watt usage includes 32.GB RAM, 4.TB HDD, 2 x 1.TB NVME, 1.TB SSD and 1.TB USB 3.2 Gen 2 SDD Drive. Even then it barely uses much over 50% of the power on 550W. 4 separate SSD Drives + 4 TB HDD + 32.GB RAM barely use any power anyway.
Despite the "ungradable" marketing, most OEMs don't expect, nor are they willing to spend the money, to make their products actually upgradable and more "standard". Proprietary parts are the largest downside to OEMs. Some are worse than others. This goes for the GPU as well, which is one of the reasons people turn to prebuilts now. The GPUs are essential "board partner" GPUs but not always very well executed especially from a cooling standpoint.

Extremely easy to add an SSD, just need to open the back panel and install it, cables are routed. You can probably add HDD too, but I personally have not used one in over 10 years

@@HardwareSense Hi, thanks for the answer, so I could get an aftermarket RAM module and then use Ryzen Master to overclock them right? Would this void my warranty? Thanks!
This is a mid tower with an ATX form factor, correct? Also, why is it so important to have XMP profile that you mention replacing the mobo at some point? thanks
It is a mini ATX board and mini tower XMP is important for anyone who doesn't want to spend money for a new motherboard or want to mess around too much
i saw quite some people on forums complaining how some gpu driver updates can make your PC crash a lot. Overall i think it's a great prebuild. Jeez, you can find RTX 3060's more expensive than this whole pc with one in it. Looking myself for a 1200 euros PC, don't know if i would go with one of these but, well see.
So I have a question about the RAM, the 16GB of the PC is a bit low for my purposes, I was wondering if there was any specific RAM that I should install or whether any DDR4 RAM is fine
Unfortunately Lenovo is not giving us XMP profiles, so you need to find 3200mhz JEDEC capable memory, I think I have a link in the description, the Klevv one is great.
I'm currently looking to buy one of these as an upgrade to my older system (an i7-8700 with GTX 1080). I wanted to look into building my own, but I just can't seem to get into this stuff. However, the Legion T5 I found has an Intel i5-12400F and and RTX 3060-Ti, but I have no idea whether that is a good combo or not. From what google can tell me, it seems that this i5 is pretty similarly rated as the Ryzen 7 5800. Is that correct? Edit: I see now that someone else asked a pretty similar question about a T5 with an intel processor a few comments down. Other than that, it seems to be pretty much identical to the one you reviewed here (it has a couple more USB ports, which is always nice). Though I will be adding an additional SSD for my games and related stuff and an internal HDD for storage.
@@HardwareSense Oh ow, thanks for such a fast answer! Especially considering this is a 1 yo video. It's good to have confirmation that this setup will do well. I was also looking at legion T7 models, but they are easily about twice the price of the T5 where I'm from. Considering I can already play games pretty comfortably on my current PC, I don't think I can justify that jump in price. All I really want is a better case, better airflow and a moderate improvement in performance. So the T5 seems like the best choice.
Is that a proprietary mobo like the hp. I didn't think it was. As far as the ram goes I used Ryzen Master to get my ram to run at 3200mhz. I don't know if there is intel software to do the same but I'm sure there is.

Now I do recommend a ram upgrade if you do video production at the moment I have 16 gigs and I'm gonna have to upgrade to 32 minimum for video production for 4k rendering.
When it comes to purchasing this computer it's a no brainer I could not build this computer for the price I bought this computer.
How is the cooling? And do you have the problem with the pic not turning on?

Love the casing. Have a ton for sale here but without the GPU. I might snag one as well.
Just got it for $900, will be an excellent gift for my little brother
Is it really worth being scared of the over heating if im not gonna play anything above forza 5?
A friend of mine bought one of these and it blue screens twice a day. They are updating drivers now to see if that fixes the issue.
The GPUs are essential "board partner" GPUs but not always very well executed especially from a cooling standpoint.
i have one of these crap boxes they locked out the UFEI and the BIOS so we cant acces em!!! buyer beware

@@noahcastro9525 Hi, did you ever end up being able to remove the graphics card and if so did you remove the fan as well?
I know this video is a bit old now - but I have just bought a version of this PC. My question is how easy is it to fit the SATA drive - can you fit without removing parts I suppose I mean? Also can this be SSD or only HDD and is there a maximum storage level - have seen differing opinions.
Extremely easy to add an SSD, just need to open the back panel and install it, cables are routed. You can probably add HDD too, but I personally have not used one in over 10 years

Cooling AIO 360 RGB
M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD 2Gt

The 12400 will be significantly better than the 8700 and is a good combo with 3060ti, especially if are playing on 1440P screen
It is in the sense of its limited to Lenovo stuff, but it is a matx motherboard and can be replaced with any matx. Also with the latest Bios Ryzen Master works
