just wanna say real quick that this has completely changed wireless vr for me. i can run ghosts of tobar on virtual desktop with ultra graphics in game and 120fps and high graphics in virtual desktop settings with no issues at all. before i could barely run the game without rubber banding and everything looking fuzzy.

Whats the best mode for quest 2 connection for max visual fidelity and what not
Hello, I have a question: As I understand there's an Ethernet to USB3 switch/adapter inside the Puppis, does this switch work at over 1Gbps? I know USB3 works at 5Gbps but most Ethernet ports found in devices work only at 1Gbps with a few high-end models nowadays working at 2.5Gbps or 10Gbps. So does the Puppis have 2.5Gbps Ethernet internally for the wired connection to the PC? since it can support up to 3Gbps or 3000Mbps over WiFi (though most Headsets only support for now 2400Mbps max).
Hello, the usb-ethernet chip inside Puppis is at 1Gbps. It is designed to maximum extent balance the performance and stability for streaming.
I use Shadow PC for high end gpu and it works really well with Virtual Desktop in my houes over my current 5ghz over fiber. But it does "drop" every 5 minutes or so for sometimes 5-10 seconds. I'm assuming becaues I have a lot of activity on my WiFi already with several other devices. --- My question is, can I use this device for a dedicated wifi connection for my Quest3 to use Virtual Desktop over the internet still with my ShadowPC? In other words, if i keep this connected to a PC with internet, could this help with a dedicated wireless signal at least for mt to use Virtual Dekstop over a remote conneciton (shadowpc) still.
We haven't tested with Shadow PC. From the use of purpose and specs, the Puppis S1 can be used to create a dedicated Wi-Fi connection for your Quest 3, which can enhance your experience with Virtual Desktop. By connecting the Puppis S1 to a PC with internet access, you'll establish a separate, dedicated Wi-Fi network exclusively for your VR headset. This can help mitigate the connectivity issues you're experiencing due to high traffic on your main Wi-Fi network. But please keep in mind, the overall performance will also depend on the stability and speed of your internet connection to Shadow PC.

My Virtual Desktop tells me my meta quest 3 is only getting between 360-400 mbps and it says "Streaming Degraded". My question to y'all is if I buy this will my Mbps go up or change at all? Help. Please and thank you

What do the three modes do differently from each other? Which would be the best to use?
PrismPulse is for dedicated connection. If you are playing PC-VR Streaming.
Hotspot is for set up a local network with up to 8 devices. If you have more products, please go with this one.
Adapter will make Puppis the network card for your PC/Laptop. If you would add or improve your PC's network performace, please go with this one.
I can’t get it to work using Steam link on the Quest 3. It no longer sees my pc on the network
It seems like the issue with Steam Link on the Quest 3 not seeing the PC on the network could be related to the network discovery settings on the PC. You can try the following steps:
1. Press Win + R and run services.msc.
2. Find and start three services and set them to auto-start: SSDP Discovery, UPnP Device Host, DNS Client.
3. Open the PC's Control Panel, go to "Network and Sharing Center," and then enable network discovery.
After following these steps, try using Steam Link again to see if it resolves the issue.

so whenever i use virtual desktop on my quest 3 my controllers have a ton of latency when i play any game. will this thing stop that latency?

Hello, it is not required to use internet for Puppis S1 to provide the dedicated wireless connection between you Laptop and Headset for streaming. Though you can set up internet by 2.4G WiFi or internet sharing from you Laptop, you can use it for just streaming without internet as well.
My circumstance is that my router connects to my modem over wifi, resulting in my headsest sharing Wifi bandwidth with internet activity. This causes the headset's connection to become unstable any time my PC is downloading something or when playing a game like VRChat that constantly downloads assets. Would this device help me solve this issue? Also, would having it in close proximity to another wifi-6 router cause interference issues or other risks?
The Puppis S1 should provide a more reliable and consistent connection for your VR experiences, even when your PC is engaged in heavy internet usage. This is what this product is designed for. Besides, it will scan the surroundings and try to use the less crowded channel. I wish this could help you with your case. : )
Well I was trying to download a new game and it was taking forever, when I checked my download speed it was around 10Gbps. I normally get around 70Gbps so I unplugged the PrismXR and what do you know, 70Gbps again. Why is it killing my bandwidth? Please help. I can't figure it out. It works great when hooked to a game but I can't imagine that the speed reduction to my connection isn't having some negative effects even when not downloading content.
Hello T6Ber62, this might have something to do with network priority settings in windows. Your computer may have two network cards capable of connecting to the internet. Since Windows automatically adjusts the priority order of the two network cards, when you plug in the Puppis S1, the computer will connect to the internet through the 2.4G WiFi of the Puppis S1, which can result in slower download speeds. There are two solutions:
Solution 1: Set network priority on the computer. Prioritize the network the computer is connected to. For detailed steps, please refer to windowsreport.com/wifi-priority-windows-11/.
Solution 2: Use PC Internet Sharing with the Puppis S1. In this case, the computer will use its own network connection. For instructions on PC Internet Sharing, please refer to prismxr.net:8000/user/pc/guild/PC_Internet_Sharing_Guide.html.

Can I use this like a normal extender for example giving my computer internet instead of connecting to ethernet?
Yes, you can use it as an extenter. This could be done in two ways. If you are doing PC-VR streaming, Puppis S1 could connect to 2.4G WiFi for connection. If you just want to get you PC online, you can switch to adapter mode to get 2.4G or 5G internet for your PC
Will this work with my laptops specs? Intel Iris Xe Integrated Graphics, Intel Core i7 12th gen 1255u 1.70 ghz. 16 gb of ram.
Hello! Puppis S1 will work well with a laptop to provide dedicated connection between PC and VR headset. The required specs can be found on Meta store, Virtual Desktop or SteamLink. From what we see here the graphics card might be a shortage. In such case, I suggest may try with a cable first. If it works, Puppis S1 will replace the cable seamlessly.
Does this allow me to play online be games through Ethernet still while I’m using it?
Sure, You could do that by internet sharing features
. I have my computer and my quest three connected through a USB-C to USB-C. My PC is connected to the Wi-Fi. My headset connects to Prism pulse. I can use virtual desktop. However, the white device always has a red light on top no matter what. I’m in prism pulse mode. Why is it always red if I can actually connect to the prism pulse while my PC is connected to a different named Wi-Fi?

Can I connect the puppis to my pc with just a link cable?
You can choose to use a USB-C to USB-C 3.0 data cable to connect your PC and Puppis S1. Please make sure it passes the data instead of power only.
Note: If you find that Puppis S1 cannot be turned on while using the USB-C to USB-C data cable, please unplug the Type-C connector from the Puppis end, rotate it 180 degrees, and plug it in again.
I got a question about PrisimXR. Does my computer need to be connected with a ethernet cable for this to work? For my situation, I don't have any ethernet ports and my home router is in another room, so because of that I'm only using the WiFi to connect with the internet to my computer.
Hello, your computer doesn't need to be connected via ethernet. Puppis S1 could get and pass internet to connected HMD with 2 ways. First, it can connect to a home wifi's 2.4G channel. Second it could get internet via PC internet sharing. Under PC internet sharing, PC could get on line with either WiFi or Ethernet.

I was just wondering cause when I tried to use Virtual desktop (quest 2), I would get a warning saying that "Your computer is not connected via ethernet cable" and the connection wouldn't be great. So my question is if I were to use PrisimXR, I wouldn't get the warning messages despite my computer not being connected via ethernet cable, and the connection would be stable?

For the direct link is it only compatible with certain headsets or will it work with any headset that has wifi6? I have a vive xr elite.

This is just a USB WiFi Adapter running a hotspot and they're charging you 80$ for it.

OP you are way off. This thing is literally a game changer. It costs as much as a good fiber 16ft cable for wired pcvr play. This runs just as good if not better and literally costs the same.
sorry but u need fix that u shouldn't relay on the app ppl just want to play and not keeping going on app to reconnect that isn't fun to do that, when ppl playing a really good game or just talking to ur friend in vrchat for hour and in just wants to plug in and forget about it
