We throw around the word hero like it means nothing anymore. This was genuinely heroic. Those little lives may well be shattered if you split them up. Look at the ages of those kids. They’re JUST old enough so they’ll remember their siblings if split up. They’d never get over it. He, quite literally, saved their lives or, at least (since I hate when people use the word “literally” incorrectly, LOL) saved their emotional health. I know he’s not trying to be a hero. He’s lived it. So, he’s just doing his small part help prevent the same emotional trauma. But it’s still heroic.
I was adopted at birth in 1964. When I was 21 I found my birth mother and she had married my birth father two years after my birth. I found out that I had a full younger sister and brother! It's been 38 years and I have a wonderful relationship with my sister and brother. While meeting my parents was great the best thing has been having my sister and brother in my life ❤️
My mom adopted my little sister and brother together at 2&3 years old so they wouldn’t be separated. Now I’m 30, sis is 20, and my little bro is 19. I just could never imagine them separated 😢 They’re so much of a package. I commend my mom and she is a strong woman.
As a person who was adopted at birth this story was incredible. I’m so happy they found each other and just able to live happy. A lot of us who were raised in a different family, it’s not easy for us however, we learned how to overcome the hurt, pain, abandonment, etc we endured. God is so good.
Funny, I had never heard of him, but when I saw him I thought he was Black. Looks biracial to me, similar to Vin Diesel or Wentworth Miller or Halsey. He says he's White, but Idk. Maybe he just assumed he was White based on his skin color. I have a feeling he's Black too, but doesn't realize it.
My little sister and I was separated when they sent us to different foster homes, I acted a fool and felt lost without my sister. I cried and begged and just became outright evil until they put us back together. I wish my sister loved me as much as I loved her but life goes on...
I have a twin and brother and we always knew we had two 1/2 brothers. We for years would talk about them. Then my sister several years ago prayed to God to find them. It was 40 years! She looked up Michael Smith... One of the top names..and no relations anywhere...it was brother who led us to our other brother. Michael died 6 months later. My heart breaks. We talked about being on a talk show and telling what Facebook did..we were all amazed! The hole will never be repaired. God gave us a miracle even though Michael is no longer with us..we have extension and family that we never knew. I can't even tell you how we searched for years....so I understand these people but this had such a beautiful ending. God loves families!
I pray for healing for for loss of your brother Michael. And I'm glad you have other siblings. And I Believe you have God also. And with God All Things are Possible. May God Bless You and Your Family. And Merry CHRISTmas.
Tragic beginning, but absolutely beautiful ending. Actually, it is not over it is the beginning of a new chapter in their lives. Bless Kitt and his wife for adopting siblings and keeping them together and affecting the rest of their lives for the better.
My heart is full! For this man to have his sister back after all these years and to adopt three siblings (not just foster but adopt) is so heartwarming, I am so happy for all of them. God bless you all!
I don't listen to much secular music anymore, so I have to confess that I have not heard of Kitt before, but I REALLY admire him as a person with a good heart. I'm so happy that he got to be reunited with his biological sister after so many years apart. May God continue to BLESS this family! 👍👍🙏🙏😍😍
oh, this was sooooo good! Tamron never disappoints, Kitt Wakely's story is so purposeful and heartfelt with so many twists and turns; God bless him and his family! Tamron is one of the BEST interviewers I have ever watched - she's got the gift! Peace & Love
I wish people would stop believing that cps and the foster care system is always right. Many loving parents & victims of violence lose their children after doing everything caseworkers want. Children get separated from their siblings and judges order so many other tragedies. It hit me hard when you talked of hating the brown paper bags. I hope you and your sister can heal ❤️🩹❤️🩹 from the pain now that you two are reunited. Sending out prayers 🙏🏽 for peace ☮️ & happiness to you both.
@@sandycheeks1580 : Excellent comment! CPS and the Foster Care Systems are absolutely evil. They MUST keep the children flowing in order to keep the money flowing. Many, many innocents have been harmed by them.
What I don't understand is why the system of fostering makes it hard for children to reunite, in as much as you are doing a good job by providing homes for these kids what about that fact that you are separating two people born from the same mother same father almost punishing them for a crime they did not commit on top of that you allow them to get lost in your system, name change should be registered one should just go into your system and be able to trace Thier loved ones
No doubt he was initially skeptical when she contacted him, but she found him through a dna match so all he had to do was look at the dna matches on his account.
i was a fan of his before but i like him soooo much more now my eyes 🥺🥺🥺🥺This was a wonderful story, so glad he and his sister found each other is 🥰🥰 but his wife and kids oh my gosh he kept those beautiful kids together. god is sooo good
Kitt is such a blessing and a true gentleman 🎩 made me cry 😭 he's heart is pure with love for these children so blessed to have him as their dad lovely story to have told thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐💕💕💕💕💕💕
He and she both look black to me. The first I looked at him, I thought mixed race. He looks similar to Vin Diesel. When I saw the pictures of him and his sister as children, I thought mixed race. When I saw the picture of him as a teenager with the kinky hair holding the keyboards, I thought mixed race. I am a person of mixed race, and I know one when I see one! So who are their biological parents, and where are they now. And why were the children in foster care. These are the things I want to know.
One of the most beautiful stories I heard this year, adopting 3 siblings! This man and his wife have hearts of gold. I believe God will bless you more.
I have a friend that suffered 7 miscarriages and was never able to carry a baby. she and her husband adopted 4 siblings. their story was pretty sad. three full siblings, one a half, the bio mother had an affair with the 3rd child, but the couple stayed together, and later on had another child together but their nightmare relationship bad for all of the kids. The kids were in and out of foster care. They would be sent back to their parents and then DFAX would remove them again. finally, the parents' rights were severed. They adopted the 3 right away and had the one as foster parent, the bio dad hemmed and hawed about giving up his rights. When his bio daughter got around 9 or 10, she begged him to let them adopt her and he finally agreed. Which was good as he had no interest in raising her. Anyway, the kids are all young adults. The youngest is 15. The eldest just turned 21. They are well adjusted. My friend and her husband have really done a good job. They have had them for 12 years now.
God works in mysterious ways. Amazing story! They should think about a movie on their story. It is a beautiful one which turned out to be a very happy ending. ❤️
Such a beautiful and gutwrenching story. I'm listening to thr beautiful song he wrote for his sister and I'm reduced to tears sincerely. This really touched my heart. Thr full circle of it all. 🥰🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️
What a heartwarming story, and yes they look so similar. So many questions! - why change children's names? - why are so many foster homes so foul?! - is no one taking responsibility and in charge of oversight!

Deeply moving…😢😔😥 I too was a foster child/teen till emancipation. Still have heavy moments of sadness being abandoned and most recently. Now parentless since losing my beloved adopted mom a year it’ll be this coming Sunday.💔😥💔 It’s a very difficult and rough personally time feeling like an orphan and like, Kitt stated and explained so well here. There’s a hole within your heart always I feel it personally often.😢😔😰 I really miss my beloved adopted mom & dad always will, and still wonder. What my life would’ve been like, or could’ve been like if my biological mom and dad were different although I’d never meet the mom I never had. It’s just incredibly sad and deeply difficult/personally painful.💔
So sorry for your loss and the feeling of abandonment by your bio parents. I've not experienced this so cannot relate, but didn't have the best childhood with my bio parents and that dysfunction follows us into adulthood. May you find peace, contentment and fulfillment in other areas of your life that help to ease your pain. Send warm thoughts your way. 🥰

How are you doing today?
Kitt is an amazing talent, husband, father and friend. May he continue on the path of grace and abundance.
There were so many injustices done to children because they didn't have a voice. I am happy they are together now.

Amen !!
