@@anafu-sankanashi8933 Its not, We never meant we wanted faithful remakes, we wanted to keep the features in the originals, also the reason we dont like them is because all the Pokémon games that had Chibi’s either had Graphical limitations and would be too hard to implement realistic proportions, and besides the Chibi’s looked great in pixelated environments because they werent that noticeable, if you try to use the same size of Chibi’s and replicate it in 3D, you would get a bad result, a Polished ORAS engine would be better for these games since part of the Remakes fun is that you get to see your favourite games reamagined in a new perspective with new appearances on familiar characters, I accepted SwSh, I loved shiny hunting in that game, I never wanted Sinnoh remakes, if anything I was kind of sick of people asking for them and didnt want them, but seeing the leaks made me hopeful, im not Buying BDSP, I probably will buy legends arceus because it looks freat so far

@@Q-TebGamesNL It’s because it was unnecessary. They really could’ve just made BETTER 3D models and people would’ve been happy. Now they split the fanbase again, instead of owning up to challenge

We have the remakes of the old games, made the same way but just a bit updated, and the new open world game that looks like nothing we've seen before. I think this is an experiment for the producers to see what we'd want more, the old same thing we know and love or something totally different, is an familiar hell vs unknown haven type of thing, although there will always be many fans leaning towards the old and many leaning towards the new. The Pokemon company is pleasing both parties through this

5:01 I don’t know why but for some reason it broke my heart when he started doubting BDSP, not because I grew up with do ( I grew up with BW) but he was just so excited.
Personally I dont see the issue with the remake artstyle, I dont feel like Sinnoh would work as anything but a topdown game, and I was actually kinda worried theyd go for a Sw/Sh camera and art style and just kinda fail at making anyone happy.
Also, I think everyones ignoring the fact that this is ILCAs first game theyve been the mainline developers for. And we all saw with Fallout 76 that giving a new studio a existing IP and expecting them to match and surpass the original devs never ends well.
I mean, both ORAS and the Let's Go games were remakes of top down games in 3D, and they looked fantastic imo. So I personally don't feel like this was the only option
@@dylansmith1496 Thats true, but they were also made by Game Freak. These are made by a team whos never made a Pokemon title, or anything solo, and with only direction by Masuda. So I feel like cutting them some slack is the call.

There isn't an issue with the remakes being chibi, may not be for everyone but its a different artstyle and looks close to the original and I kinda like that. Good job they didn't go with it looking like Sword/Shield as that game got tons of hate for looking trash with bad textures ect, clearly moving away from a such hated game is a good idea. Funny those that were trashing SwSh for its graphics complaining about DP remakes not looking like Gen8. The story, gameplay and music will be just as great as the originals, and the art direction is upto personal taste, some may not like chibi and thats fine.
This is not an ORAS style in the slightest. And of course his opinion is not objective. I would say though, that Let's Go's artstyle was executed with far more polish and quality than the one from BDSP seemingly will be.
I’m holding out hope that they change the Chibi style of BDSP, i’m still excited for it and I think it’ll get better, we have time and years to wait. And Legends: Arceus looks like the best thing ever
Stop whining about the damn chibi art style ot doesn't effect how the play's it's not a big deal if you don't like it just don't buy the games. Just don't whine about it
Honestly, I find what they're doing with the Diamond and Pearl remakes really good. It's got that Link to the Past remake charm to it. And I wouldn't say it's them being chibi, but just a fully 3D remake of the original; and that's okay. Chibi would be more like Lets Go and X/Y or ORAS. I don't understand why everyone's so pissed about it; yet were okay with LttP remake taking that spin on the original(i guess their expectations weren't met in what the idea of the remakes would be?). I'm really glad they didn't just recycle the Sw/Sh engine for the remakes, and now it stands out on it's own. Pokemon Legends: Arceus, this looks like a step in the right direction, but I'm still keeping my hype levels down. I will admit, I love how they practically pulled a Breath of the Wild for the first shot of the game. I will say this though, if the game succeeds in properly transitioning toward a full open world setting; I'll be a little worried for the next mainline Pokemon game; unless this is going to be a trend to replace the mainline games?

@mangobango I mean, they were able to do it well for Links Awakening. I do agree that it could look better. But I think they'll fix it.
@mangobango "They" didn't downgrade the graphics, it's made by a different company. And I know a lot of people who "care about chibi or want's it"

I think oshawatt and rowlet were chosen because the pkmn legends is set in ancient Japan. Rowlet and oshawatt evolves into a archer and a samurai. Don't know about cyndaquil tho.

@@Mr.2Dirty oh trust me I am. We got what ? A 1.2 minute trailer and the comments looked like they dropped faith in game freak like instantly, it's so shocking.
@@anafu-sankanashi8933 Its not,
We never meant we wanted faithful remakes, we wanted to keep the features in the originals, also the reason we dont like them is because all the Pokémon games that had Chibi’s either had Graphical limitations and would be too hard to implement realistic proportions, and besides the Chibi’s looked great in pixelated environments because they werent that noticeable, if you try to use the same size of Chibi’s and replicate it in 3D, you would get a bad result, a Polished ORAS engine would be better for these games since part of the Remakes fun is that you get to see your favourite games reamagined in a new perspective with new appearances on familiar characters, I accepted SwSh, I loved shiny hunting in that game, I never wanted Sinnoh remakes, if anything I was kind of sick of people asking for them and didnt want them, but seeing the leaks made me hopeful, im not Buying BDSP, I probably will buy legends arceus because it looks freat so far
Remakes of Diamond/Pearl look like Link’s Awakening. I love it!
Link’s awakening actually had a good reason for that though. The main character is “Toy Link” after all. The remakes of Diamond/Pearl have no excuse. It’s just to target their fetus fan base and milk some cash. I’m sure the game is good, but god, that art style.
@@user-ni7ui1nk8p yeah I agree, the arceus game though. Now that has a good art style.

@@blizard9701 that's because that was the limit of the technology at the time, and in my opinion pixels is far more charming than Chibi style. I'm way more excited to play the remakes than the BOTW copycat. Only reason they made it so darn similiar to BOTW is because it sold well. Now they think it's a winning formula and they'll 100% make it almost the same but it's pokemon.

I think I have an explosion for why we have 2 types of Sinnoh games.

@@michealvalois4463 Very true, I definitely agree that people should cut the team making them some slack, but at the same time I think people's disappointment is fairly justified as I don't think really anyone saw something like this coming. But at the end of the day, they'll hopefully still be great games
"looks worse than let's go" is so extremely subjective. It's just the DP overworld proportions in an ORAS-ish 3D style.
This is not an ORAS style in the slightest. And of course his opinion is not objective. I would say though, that Let's Go's artstyle was executed with far more polish and quality than the one from BDSP seemingly will be.

Ron's reaction to The diamond and pearl remakes: OMG!!!! Wow, wow, wow
Ron when he sees the gameplay trailer: Oh no, this is bad.
gen 4 is my favorite, im still in shock about the remakes and i cant wait
Literally that was my exact reaction to the remakes. Like exactly.
I honestly really like the chibi style of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It fits the DS era.
