If GBA Rainbow Road gets remade, I think they should put the movie version of Bowser's Castle in the background. It's pretty similar to Paper Mario's version, floating in the sky with Bowser's face on the front and having balls with chains. It's more relevant in the modern day, and has a more intimidating design, so it's perfect.
@@Sady845no he is stating that the OP's statement is very obvious, and what are you saying something completely unrelated. Also 3ds rainbow road is one of the best tracks in the series
My biggest issue with 8’s Rainbow Road is that it could’ve been SO much cooler. One super underrated aspect of 8 is that most of the nitro tracks (and some of the retros, like Toad’s Turnpike) take place in an interconnected city, imagine how good a Rainbow Road going through that city would be.
Seriously, all the Deluxe version needed was a few crazy turns, loops and corkscrews, and it would've been perfect. But as is, you're just turning left and right save for the space station). I'm SO glad 8DX kept the meteor effect in Wii's Rainbow Road, even if for just a second before Lakitu comes to whisk you back to safety. it was such a neat bit of the original :)

And they're also skeletal versions of Koopas, which also have selectable slots in some of the Mario Spin-offs. So yeah. This tracks at the end of the day.
The reason for the ghost tracks to be mainly bridges is cause in Japan bridges are often associated with ghosts and are considered haunted places because of the high suicide rate of Japan, there's rumours of the spirits of those who jumped off haunting the bridges, and because of that, although bridges may not seem scary to us, they are in Japan Later on they moved into the spooky mansion to please to a more worldwide audience rather than just some local thing
Honestly, Mario kart 64 has a better special cup in my opinion. DS’s Wario Stadium & and Bowser’s Castle is just boring, & Peach Gardens has a basic theming. Really only Rainbow Road actually was fun
Also, I feel like MK8’s Rainbow Road would’ve gotten way less disliked if it was a section track, I think some people found it weird that they reverted to using the usual lap system for Rainbow Road after giving it the section treatment in 7
Yeah, also the antigravity mechanic was extremely poorly used, the could have put loops like in Mario kart DS, or a straight down fall, but nope, you could deactivate the antigravity and wouldn't feel a change...
You're supposed to use the sand pillar in bone dry dunes to make it to the top area. It's also easier to make it if you take the sand path instead of the anti grav bone path
