I was looking for such a comment. And thinking about Earth from this model gives me goosebumps. This idea of Heavens being supported by mountain is not even unique in Islamic Cosmology. It is present in Chinese Cosmology. It is present in Hindu Vedic Cosmology. It is present in Buddhist Cosmology. We reject these accounts because we are heavily under the influence of modern day globe-earth cosmology (Which flat earth proponents are desperately trying to tells us that it is the greatest lie and propaganda ever told on the face of the Earth). He says, rush towards attainment of Paradise whose width is like the width of the Heavens AND The EARTH. Allah tells us He made the Earth an Expanse. He tells us He made Seven Heavens and Seven Earths. These verses, and many many more, make perfect sense on a Geocentric Model. I can't help but desperately feel that we have been lied to about the size, nature and reality of our World. The flat earth model claims, with astounding confidence, that there is much secret beyond the "Ice wall" of Antarctica that is being kept hidden from us. I personally find the Qaf being a mountain to be a bit far-fetched. There is nothing in Surah Qaf that remotely suggests this muqattaat letter is referring to a mountain.

The commentators mentioned this, even they said that these stories are Israeli and contradict the Qur’an expressly. More importantly, they did not attribute these stories either to Allah or to His Messenger (PBUH). Actually the story of Dhul Qarnayn talking to a giant emerald mountain perfectly aligns with his fantastical journeys described in al Kahf surah 18. Truly the tafsir authors best understood the mindset and culture of the author of the Quran.

I believe Khosrow I to be the best candidate for Dhul Qarnayn, look at his beliefs, his coinage, place in history and what he built as far as his walls and his state instituted religion that kept the Khazars and Byzatians out of Arabia. I say coinage because of his two horns, and beyond that, those coins would likely have still have been around by the time of the Prophet PBUH. The Prophet PBUH wrote a letter inviting to Khosrow's grandson to Islam, who tore up that letter prompting the Prophet to narrate one of the clearest prophesies.
The Quran is the word of God, all of its information being beneficial. But since questions exist about things like the unattached letters, perhaps we are only meant to be aware of their existence, nothing more-At least for now, since, that is all we can know about them at present.

The majority of scholars say that it is haraam, including the four imams of fiqh: Abu Haneefah, Maalik, al-Shaafa’i and Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on them all). The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will be people who will regard as permissible adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5590). The commentators mentioned this, even they said that these stories are Israeli and contradict the Qur’an expressly.
More importantly, they did not attribute these stories either to Allah or to His Messenger (PBUH).

Actually the story of Dhul Qarnayn talking to a giant emerald mountain perfectly aligns with his fantastical journeys described in al Kahf surah 18. Truly the tafsir authors best understood the mindset and culture of the author of the Quran.

I believe Khosrow I to be the best candidate for Dhul Qarnayn, look at his beliefs, his coinage, place in history and what he built as far as his walls and his state instituted religion that kept the Khazars and Byzatians out of Arabia. I say coinage because of his two horns, and beyond that, those coins would likely have still have been around by the time of the Prophet PBUH. The Prophet PBUH wrote a letter inviting to Khosrow's grandson to Islam, who tore up that letter prompting the Prophet to narrate one of the clearest prophesies.

It is forbidden and is not permissible to play musical instruments or listen to songs and tunes. The majority of scholars say that it is haraam, including the four imams of fiqh: Abu Haneefah, Maalik, al-Shaafa’i and Ahmad (may Allaah have mercy on them all).
The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Among my ummah there will be people who will regard as permissible adultery, silk, alcohol and musical instruments.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5590). See also: al-Silsilah al-Saheehah by al-Albaani (91).
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
This hadeeth indicates that musical instruments are haraam; this includes all types of instruments.
Majmoo’ al-Fataawa (11/535).
And he said:
It is well known that during the best three generations of which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The best of generations are my generation among whom I was sent, and the one that follows them, and the one that follows them”, neither in the Hijaz nor in Syria nor in Yemen nor in Iraq nor in Egypt nor in Khorasan was there anyone among the people of goodness and religious commitment who would gather with others to listen to this innovated type of singing for the purpose of purifying the hearts. Hence it was regarded as makrooh by the imams such as Imam Ahmad and others, and al-Shaafa’i regarded it as one of the innovations of the zindeeqs (heretics) when he said: In Baghdad I left behind something that was innovated by the zindeeqs who called it taghbeer (a type of singing) and diverted the people from the Qur’aan thereby.
