Toyota Solara Convertible top front latch adjustment

Is your 2nd generation Solara Convertible top making a bunch of wind noise, leaking, or is one side of the top not latching flush against the windshield? Well, before you freak out and think your top is screwed up or that you need a new windshield seal, here is a crappy cell phone video of how to fix it.
Convertibles are pretty rickety and the parts in them are inevitably going to loosen up with time, so get that top seated down properly so your friends won't laugh at you when it howls on the freeway!
This will apply to the 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 models.

Thank you for the informative video. I have a 2006 Toyota Solara. I have not experienced any leaking or wind noise problems yet, but now I know a neat little fix if they appear.

You're very welcome! This is my second Solara, and I had the described problems with my first one and never thought to just check into it. This would have solved the issues I had with my first one!

You're very welcome! My first Solara convertible (this is my second) had an annoying whistling sound that would develop at the windshield frame at 75mph when it was windy out, and this trick likely would have fixed it at the time if I knew it!

My pin isn’t matching up on right side so I have a hard time getting pin into the hole. What do I do?

How does the rest of the top look? Does it sag on either side during it's opening/closing stroke?
You may have something else that needs adjustment or replacement, but I haven't come across that particular problem myself yet, so I would have to dive into the book to see what else you may need to do.
