    Hi Ed.
    Still watching the Honda videos,you're actually quite the proficient cameraman.
    The Honda I know is near finished and looking great,but the earlier videos in the Playlist show what a basketcase you started out with,honestly,I would have just walked away.It's one thing rebuilding a motorcycle from scratch when it was you that stripped it in the first place,but what you have done is very impressive.
    Noticed in one of the early videos you had problems with a wobbly back sprocket assembly,badly worn cush drive rubbers.I'm not far enough through the playlist to see if you cured it,I've got quite a longterm cure if you have'nt.
    You can wrap the alloy bosses on the rear of the sprocket with strips of old inner tube,enough so you have a really tight fit into the cush drive rubbers.
    The rubbers get compressed over time causing the movement you have,and they ain't cheap to replace.
    If you're really struggling for parts,new old stock or used,you could check out "David Silver Honda",he's the Honda go to guy over here.
    I've a 1978 Honda GL1000 I rebuilt 15 years back and he was able to supply just about everything I needed.He's also good at cross-referencing parts to see if they're common to other models.
    Don't know if the shipping would cost too much to make it worth your while.

      k1cky scotland the Honda was completely apart. Toughest part was finding reasonable priced parts. Ebay is great but they want $200 for an ignition kill switch. I have had good luck with a company called Re-Mx. The owner is on the vintage honda xr75 Facebook group. Thank you for watching commenting and subscribing. Later-Ed

    You really should have a still camera to take photos of each and every step of a disassembly. Yeah, we've all rebuilt stuff using just memory and it all worked out, but there's a new tool these days, digital cameras, which we need to use.

    when i was restoring cars,we took hundreds of pictures before during and after. any connections or wire routing were done close up. all hardware was labeled in zip lock bags,i still find myself doing the same thing on long term projects

    I know this is an old video but it appears you didn’t adjust the float before installing the bowl. It might cause running issues l and possibly leaking fuel out the carb.

      Your correct I didn't adjust the float. Ended up ok. I did have a running problem but that was cussed by me forgetting to tighten down the packing screw on the the main jet. After I figured that out in ran pretty good.

    Hey Ed very interesting video learning a lot. I've been meaning to ask you what kind of Ultrasonic cleaner did you get. Checked out Princess Auto here in Ontario and they don't carry them kinda dumb. Anyway any recommendations hopefully not to expensive. Cheers

      Les miletics it was a no name unit off ebay. It was $126.00 with free shipping. If you search ebay for 10 liter ultrasonic cleaner 240 watt ultrasonic and 400watt heat. I have a clip but I can't attach it to comment. Thanks for watching commenting and subscribing. Later -Ed

    Hi Ed. The two gaskets may be part of the choke ?. I am not sure though. I would have to see the Diagram better to tell. When you do the first Startup test ,it should give clues if anything is off. The heat pipe should open the choke up has the engine warms up, if not you have the adjustment to far. I always set them to where the choke plate just closes, and then a 1/8th to 1/4 turn more.

      Bobby Tectalabyss that's what I thought that they might go to the choke. The diagram doesn't show anything that looks like those gaskets. I'm thinking they may go to another carb/ engine. Bigger problem discovered today. I got low compression on the lower cylinder. 90psi dry on top and 40psi dry on the lower. I'm bummed I should have checked that first. I still think I'm going to try to fire it up and hope that some heat in the cylinder might break the rings free.

      Hi Ed. If your lucky it could be where it set for so long. You can put a bit oil in both cylinders and retest. Did you open the throttle while you did the test ?.

      Hi Bobby, I sprayed some PB blaster into both cylinders and Had the throttle wide open. Initial on top cylinder dry was 90psi and 40 on the bottom. I sprayed and retested Improved to 100 on top and stayed 40 on the bottom. I hoping that if I can get it start and build up some heat in the pistons the rings will come loose. I pretty sure they are stuck from sitting. Big bummer it looked real good on the outside I guess you cant judge a book by its cover! Thanks for watching and commenting.

      Hi Ed. It could be sticky valves on the low side and maybe the high side also. Fingers crossed. Can you get to an inspection plate to oil the valves ?.

      Bobby Tectalabyss it's a 2 stroke all it has is reed valves in the have behind the carb.
