Easily the most op premium in game at 7.0, when the best 262 (not even close to the su in performance ) is 8.3
It's going to 7.3 in the coming days apparently.

The bane of my existence this last year while I was grinding the british tree, it's one of the proofs that early jet BRs need an overhaul. If this thing wasn't a premium it would've gone up to 7.7 months ago
Pretty much how it is with most premiums. New players buy jets they have no idea how to play and artificially pump the stats down, and gaijin uses that as an excuse to not properly balance them in order to sell more premiums

In jets, if you would like to land as soon as possible, Use "i" to kill your jet engine then you will find your plane turns into a tank. You can also land on your belly if you come in hot, and if I'm trying to get in and out asap, I do just that. Note: don't land that way on the auxiliary landing strips, it will count you as crashed.
This thing has been the bane of my existence flying the f4u-7 for CAS in ground rb, great review keep it up
for a lot of people, sure, it might have pros and cons. but in the hands of a good pilot? thing is a monster. it can outrun and out dogfight just about anything it faces. personally I prefer to swap between the cannons as I go; gives you way more trigger time

Man, that mountain map in arcade is gorgeous. Why can't we have maps like that in RB?
Arcade maps are so much better it's not funny. Flying over a barren flat plain is garbage.
@@frostedbutts4340 Yeah. I remember maps like 'Alpine Meadows' and 'Pacific hidden base' where you could outsmart enemies and get some manoeuvre kills. T'was a good feeling. Those kind of maps, in top tier, fooling enemy missiles, actually think before you shoot a missile....would be nice.

As a side note, the "pods you keep referring to are called "Nacelles" in aviation terms.
They finally pushed this to 7.3
now it just needs to move to 8.0

I remember this thing had ridiculous flight model when it came out. For five games straight I saw at least one Su 11 being able to return back to base without a wing. And one time literally Su11 player was considered dead (the enemy's name ID was dark red) without its two wings, but some how managed to kill two of my allies and still was flying.
I had to make sure that plane was obliterated into pieces.... so I bought this plane and it was pretty ridiculous and felt bad for the enemy team.
Now I moved on to soviet top jets so idk how it is performing at its BR but it will definitely remain as a capable plane.

I love how you didn’t play/say this plane out as an op plane that can take anything but gave pros and cons and did not make any exaggerations that may swing new players into getting this thing thinking it’s unstoppable

And you can pull up slightly when on the run way to use your plane as an air brake, it's what F16 pilots do in real life, it works pretty well

@TimsVariety regarding the long landing time if you belly land it you can slow down exceptionally fast
We should not stop rising this thing in BR untill it hits 8.0, it is truly on par with most 8.0/8.3 jets.
I belive 7.7 is good enough

It's easily a 7.7 aircraft. if it weren't a premium, bet that GJN would have made it 8.0 alongside the la15 by now
@@Hadgerz exactly, it has better acceleration and energy retention than many 8.0s, it's stupid. But yeah being a premium it will never be higher tan 7.7
I recently bought this jet because I was wanting a fast aircraft and I found myself getting better with aircraft, fyi, im mostly a ground player, I love CAS, however I just got into air rb, should I treat it as a ground attacker or an air to air attacker if I have minimum experience in air rb?
The Su-11 should be at least BR 7.7 in Air RB.

Ju 288 and su11 are the best farmers in the game, and i have both 👌🤭
I have 400 games in ju288 and 440 games in su11 :)

Even though this is getting bumped to 7.3 and the tier 5 american jets are getting moved down a bit i'm not worried at all. Love this plane to death. The games I have without 2+ kills are less than the 2+ kill games for sure.
Don't see basic stats like SL and RP modifiers. Gaijin don't allow CC to show them in case if got nerfed?
I don't normally highlight SL or RP modifiers unless they're way off-norm for a plate in a given rank.
@@TimsVariety every economy nerf I try to check what and where and most ppl show stats before and not showing now. Bit fishy to me.
@@rstebnicki I wouldn't read anything into it. So far, the snail hasn't asked me/us not to cover anything in-game (though we've been asked not to leak things off the discord server). In my case I normally only mention the percentages if they're significantly different than usual, but with premiums I tend to mention "premium bonuses" even if I don't get too specific.
Come to think of it - I looked at the SL/RP percentages in my vid on "climbing the tech tree in war thunder" and I think I looked at some specifics in my vid about how "the silver lions economy is fundamentally flawed".

Idk why most people hate fighting the su11 so much you literally have to land a hit on one of the 2 engines and then wait 1 minute.

XP-50 and Ju-288? They are far more OP
@@phunkracy Xp50 only has the early advantage in a game, Ju288 is useless because its a bomber. neither are OP compared to the Su11 which is better in every way than any 7.0, 7.3, and some 7.7s.
@@AirsoftFactionit’s really not that good of a plane if you maneuver you can evade guns easily and make your opponent run out of ammo. Just my experience though 🤷🏻♂️
@@schizo9737 Here is an experiment for you, stat check every Su11 player you come across. I have not found one with a wn8 below 50% yet. Maybe im unlucky, idk.

By average do you mean better than or equivalent to every jet it can face, including those up to 1 BR higher, with the exception of 2 models?
Only 2 early jets can out turn it, and both retain energy far worse: the still bugged Kikka that nobody flies because it is bugged, and models of the Meteor.
Every other jet has the same listed turn, or worse, than the SU-11 -- A21RB, F80C, Ouragan, Attacker, G91, F82G21RE, F3D1, 262C1A, 262A1, hell even the big prop from the end of USA the F7F1 turns worse than the SU-11.
Anyway your videos are always great how can a data pedant/analyst get a guest spot on the variety hour? Or is it not that kind of variety show? I have some things about BR that might be very interesting to your viewers PEACE

Ever since starting jets and any time now in ground battles it seems there's at least 4 of these and the players are calling you slurs while acting like they're good players even though they haven't gotten a single kill in anything but Russian premiums. I've become such a toxic person from these things alone, calling people an unending number of slurs in return that half the time apply to me more than these edgy 12 year olds playing with their mom's credit card.

Tim, I'm disappointed you have not addressed just how much of an advantage this jet has over the other aircraft in its tier.
You presented this jet as if it were merely a strong competitor to its piers and that's dishonest.
I understand you may be trying to tiptoe but this aircraft has been an clear example of Gaijin putting vehicles into their game that are horifficly overpowered for the purpose of selling as many of them as possible. They have had great success in this but the SU-11 has destroyed its BR bracket.
I know that you know this stuff TIm, please address it next time.

With planes below 8.0 I always try to include some arcade footage, usually at the start.
Ok, you have to stop reviewing vehicles ignoring the real in game situation. You almost made it sound like an average jet. One critical element you always conveniently forget is the climb rate of a plane. Su11 out climbes every single plane from 7.0 to 8.0 and even some 8.3s. This gives it the highest energy potential in every match, therefore it can always dictate when and whom to attack
6:25 , I specifically mentioned using its climb performance to side-climb at the start to get an altitude advantage and how it can use its climb rate to regain lost altitude easily. I'm sorry I didn't explicitly use the exact words "rate of climb" earlier when I mentioned its strong general flight performance, but I mention climb rate frequently in the reviews.
