Dearest Will and Dawn, my husband and I want to express what a tremendous blessing your videos are to us. My family, and early ancestors, are from that region and I have been visiting there since I was a little child. My husband and I, and our family, continue to come to the Smokies and east Tennessee, any time we are able to travel, which is hopefully every few months. It is truly our heart, passion, and refuge. We have been desiring to move there from Florida these past 12 years and have not, as yet, been able to do so. When we found your videos, it is like a piece of heaven for us. We watch them every day. You take us to places we have not yet been able to see, and places we have truly desired to visit. The quality of the videos is outstanding, the music is beautiful, and you capture it the way we see it. We so appreciate you enthusiasm for this treasured region, as we feel the same way about it. I've started looking for your yellow jeep every time we come up! We want to learn every possible thing we can about that area, and you have made that so much more possible. You both are so endearing and truly 'gifts from God' to us. Please don't stop making your videos. If you ever you feel they are insignificant, know they are truly a lifeline and the deepest joy to us. We appreciate you more than words can express. With all sincerity and all our hearts, Patti and Chuck
Hi Will n Dawn love the back roads my husband would love it so he doesn't have to deal with all the traffic lights do some more especially down the Gatlinburg Craft n Community area
I love the Backroads. Would love to see move of these videos. My husband lived there for over 30 years We married and we lived there for 8 years until we moved. We always take the back roads and we are still learning new back roads. A great backroad to show is how to get into the park off wears valley
I love these videos. This road isn't as bad as a road we used to drive. The road we used to drive along had a river on one side. Plenty of people lost their lives on it. I learned how to drive on it. I loved driving on it and miss it . Looks so beautiful minus the river. I just love the scenery. I would rather drive on backroads than on the freeway.
Love your channel! I used to live there and now stuck in hot & humid Florida... Can't wait to move back. Your videos bring back a lot o f memories! Thanks!!!
Its nice seeing places I haven't been to since I was 11 years old. It also creates an almost hurtful yearnIng to go back. Cherokee, Gatlinburg, Pigeon forge, Cades Cove, theses places were part of my childhood vacations. Love from South Carolina.
Sure do appreciate the "back roads" tutorial!! The way traffic gets through Pigeon Forge at times, it's really helpful to know an alternative route!! Thanks for doing this video!!!
You can also bypass most of Pigeon Forge by taking Veterans Blvd (449) off of 411 in Sevierville. You'll come out by the DP Stanpeed. It's nice to take it when traffic in PF is super heavy, especially if you're trying to get to Gatlinburg.
We love the diving videos since they take us to place we probably would never see, otherwise. We especially enjoy the backroad travel videos! Never too many of those!!
Love these “back road” videos. Love to get around and off the beaten path when driving in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. May be a slower way, but a lot more scenic way.
When our grandchildren were younger we stayed at The Resort at Governor's Crossing a lot since they have a water park. Traffic would be horrible at WalMart and on down the parkway. One day we were on Teaster and wanted to get over to Veteran's to get to Collier. I decided to turn on to Ridge Rd not even knowing where it went. I was thinking it was a cross road connecting to Collier and it was. The only issue was taking a left on to Collier from Ridge Rd since Collier was very busy. It took awhile but I was able to get it done. Traffic looked rather light when you were driving on Collier. It didn't look like a typical summer day for traffic. Thanks for showing Sugar Hollow. I have never been on that road.
Yall are a Blessing to me and my family. My husband and I got married at Mountain Valley Chapel in October 2004. We LOVE Pigeon Forge and we have rented a cabin in Gatlinburg before. Last year we rented a cabin in Townsend which was a beautiful area. Our kids loved the whole experience for their trip to TN. The back roads video was a huge help. We enjoy all the videos. Last week we "traveled" with you to Nevada..haha...GOD BLESS YOU..keep the videos coming
My wife is from that neck of the woods and she knows every back road to get around. Till I got together with her I hadn’t been to pigeon forge since dolly wood was silver dollar city and they was nothing but water slides and go cart tracks there. She took me all round there just glad I wasn’t driving. Love your videos keep them coming. She worked at Dollly wood for a couple of seasons.
Love any information that makes going around traffic there possible! We just discovered Teasters (spelling?) road last year for the first time! I would like to see a simple map if possible that shows just where these roads are in relation to the main roads of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Seiverville. I love your videos! Although this one did make me a little dizzy! Lol! Be safe and well!
Thank you for the video! Would love to see more like this. It’s nice to have options to get around the traffic and I love the scenery on the backroads down there it is so beautiful! Y’all are so blessed to call it home! Have a great day Will and Dawn! 🤗
Thanks for all of your videos. Your vlogs were instrumental in planning my first trip to Gatlinburg. Definitely keep the short cut videos coming. We visited for the first time in June when they were doing maintenance on the Spur, and we could've definitely benefitted from knowing a way to bypass all the traffic. We've visited again since then, and have plans to return in the future. Thanks again😊
Hi Will and and Dawn! 👋👋👋 We have so enjoyed watching all your videos, THANK YOU!! It isn't everyday you find videos with the exact information you need to know. It is so helpful to know what's going on through COVID19 and we love that you tell us how much things cost. Not many folks do that in their videos. We always look forward to seeing your videos, stay safe!
Hubby and I always take the back roads going into town here in southwest MO . When you have pretty countryside there is no need to rush, enjoy the wildlife and scenery! Thanks for the drive Will & Dawn!
There's nothing like the back roads! Love them! Keep doing these videos. I enjoyed the video y'all did traveling to Gatlinburg, the Mountains ahead were breathtaking.
We usually rent cabins in Alpine Mountain on Sugar Hollow road. I had discovered the shortcut up to Ridge Road to the right and down to the The Old Mill area, but going the other direction and coming out over in Sevierville is an awesome tip. Sometimes coming into town from the Sevierville side the traffic can be pretty rough. I will put this in my bag of tricks. Thanks guys
We love all of your videos Will and Dawn! We really like the road trips in Sevier county so we can be informed of what's out there and see the beauty too. We love your adventuresome spirits and kind hearts. Thank you for doing these videos, we know it takes a lot of your time.
Great video, we visit pigeon forge often and did not know that shortcut existed. We will be taking advantage of that shortcut. We enjoy watching your videos and you guys do an awesome job.
Wow! My husband just ran across this video on UA-cam and we were watching it in our living room on the TV and boy let me tell you lol. We were just up there for our anniversary in February. Rented a beautiful cabin by Aunt Bugs in sieverville. It's beautiful it's nice to visit but I don't want to live there and to be honest don't want to go back even to visit either LOL we were so terrified of the roads that was running through the mountains and how curvy they were. Being a Florida couple we were definitely not used to that
loved the back road video we love your videos we still hope to retire there someday and it's great to see local roads and things that we dont have time to explore. keep up the good work and be safe and thank you. debb and gary from Ohio
The last time we were up there, we followed GPS. We were taken WAY out of the way. But I think we were going to the cabin we rented first. The road we took went right along this mountain range. It came out on the road where the craft area is. I wish I could remember the name of the area where our cabin was. There is a golf course at the entrance. We did love the cabin we rented and hope to go back soon. Loved this video. Please make some more. That's part of why a lot of people love to do. Ride and take in the beauty of the mountains. Wow!! Now I wish I was there!!!!! Ya'll are so blessed to live there!!!!!
Love your hiking videos but the back road videos are very intriguing. We have traveled these roads but enjoyed revisiting them. Interested in seeing more ☺

Please keep doing your beautiful and fun videos, don't get discouraged about what others say. You two are the best, we look forward to watching your videos every night.
Love all of your videos. My story is like yours except for the fact of I haven't moved there yet. We visit from NC and want to move there so bad. It's in my blood. I call it home because I was conceived in the mountains. Lol. Those mountains get in your blood and hopefully I will live there soon. I admire you and Dawn for taking that leap.
My family and I enjoyed watching this video very much. Its nice to see backroads other than just the main streets. Would also love to see if there are any backroads to get into Gatlinburg. Thanks for sharing!
🚙 We use the back roads all the time, don't like the parkway traffic. 🚙We do a lot of sight seeing, plus we always try to have a picnic, usually by the river. 🚙 We have been doing this for many years and we love it. 🚙 Thank you for the trip down memory lane guys. 🚙 God bless you and stay safe always. 🚙 Love Mrs. Dell 🚙

My husband and I stumbled on Ridge Rd a few yrs ago during one of the Rod Runs. We love exploring the backroads, I’m a sucker for old barns and such.

Dollywood lane to Upper middle creek road and take a right on Birds Creek to a right on Glades and to the east parkway 321 to Gatlinburg.
