Hi Michele, thanks for making this video. I have been wanting to purchase this foundation for a while.... I love it! And it looks sooooo nice on you - probably the best I have seen on you. I have found it hard trying to pick the right shade, the options are all a bit odd and limited. How did you finally decide on one? I have fair olive skin for reference. Thanks.

This is my favorite foundation! I am 58 and have dry skin. I also don't like full coverage. I don't use setting powder; I like to use the hourglass finishing powders and it wears well on me. I really love it, I feel it has a very skin-like finish. But, of course I haven't tried 'all' the foundations out there. I think my next fav's are the La Mer soft fluid and Tom Ford Traceless Perfecting. Thanks for the video and take care, Ginny 😘😘😘

Thanks for the video. I was just keying a question about a La Mer comp when you mentioned it. Am I right in interpreting your comment to think that the Sisley is lighter weight and more sheer?

The La Mer is as high as I’m going to go, and I only do it when there’s 20% off, so about $96. I cry a little inside but I rationalize it because there’s skin care and if I get a blemish it acts like a skin treatment and I usually don’t have it when I take my makeup off.

@@anm0086 I used La Mer for a year and honestly it was nice but I didn't see improvement. For something so pricey I expected more. I'm using the Nivea cream (only $10) at the moment. Honestly they feel the same LOL They actually have similar ingredients and smell exactly the same too.

I have dry skin, I have been using this foundation as my everyday foundation for almost 2 years now. I prefer to apply this with my fingers, only because, when you do, the coverage is higher than it is with a brush for some weird reason. Also, when you go for special occasion foundation or even a full coverage foundation, put Le Teint on as a base first and then apply your foundation. It seems to help keep my skin in good condition and the foundation seems to stay on well for longer.

Do you think it will hold up on oily skin? I love looking like I just have great skin and no makeup on, but those types of foundations usually have a radiant finish, which looks beautiful on me.......for 45 minutes.

This foundation looks so lovely- just the kind of look I like with a foundation- like a sheer luminous veil but still letting your skin show through a bit. I so didn't want to like it. Now when I look on Beautylish at the colors- it would be impossible for me to choose a color-they all look very odd in color...I know you went in store to try samples before ordering from Beautylish. I do think I want that CHIKUHODO brush, though!!! That, I know for sure! :)

I hate when that happens with the powder too- I have a tip that I do to minimize the mess, if there’s a sticker over the ‘sifter’ on the powder, I cut the sticker with a razor blade, so that only the first two rows are “open” and leave the rest of the sticker intact. This way I can tap out a little at a time into the cap! I know it won’t help now, but when you get a new powder, try it! You’ll be happy you did! No more waste and all the control! Lol😊

I was watching the truly magnificent Rachel Weisz in interviews (the lesbian Jewish orthodox movie, don’t remember the title) and she loves Sisley makeup. She has this beautiful technique/ approach where she kind of does a frame of her face within her face (her color products seems to just go from her mouth line to the eyes and width-wise only as far as the corner of her eyes, so her blush draping doesn’t go to the temples but leaves a finger width around the edges of her face) and it’s really beautiful and natural.

You are too youthful to describe your skin as mature, which applies to post-menopausal women, like me, whose skin is affected not only by depleted collagen but also by the higher ratio of testosterone to estrogen (new or increased facial hair, larger pores, texture, etc.). IMO, you still have immature skin ; ) ... and i suspect your skin will still look immature for a long while, given how well you care for it.

Idk why she never responds back or at least gives hearts when she barely has comments compared to other channels... and the foundation does look nice but too much money for a foundation.... anyways I would call the skin instead of mature, adult 30’s, adult 40’s , adult 50’s or just target them by what people’s needs are!

It might be because she has a full-time job as well. A lot of the other UA-camrs who engage a lot with their viewers have UA-cam as their full-time job

Yep, our Michele is one busy lady. I’m just so thankful her channel is solely based on high end reviews targeting the “slightly older” ladies.

Grown ass adult skin maybe? Lol. I always thought "mature skin" as an automatic descriptor for anyone over 25 was kinda rude.

The shade range is poor....not fair enough for me
