thank you so much for reviewing this! I was curious to compare the sisley with the cle de peau radiant fluid and I think the cle de peau will be the one I try. Personally I don't react to fragrance that much but would prefer a foundation to not have such a strong and lingering scent so cheers for mentioning that at the end of the vlog, it def helped solidify which one is the best pick for me.
As soon as you finished applying the foundation (which is gorgeous) to half of your face, & I saw the coverage & finish, I went & purchased my shade from the Sisley website, lol! Thank you so much for this review, Michele!

Fragrance is a deal breaker. I wish companies would stop putting it in products. I had a sunscreen that had so much fragrance in it that it attracted flying insects. They were dive bombing my head and face. I was visiting my dad at the nursing home and he thought it was hilarious. He had tears rolling down his cheeks. 😭

LOL at the insect story XD I agree, a fragrance is a deal breaker. I saw the comments and decided to not even watch the video. I absolutely hate scented makeup. There are so many products I can't use because I'm sensitive to smells. Especially lipsticks. You hear that, makeup brands? You're straight up losing money because of this!
Agreed! Especially lipsticks which sit right under your nose. If you like scent, that's fine, I just wish they would be more clear when you buy whether it is scented or unscented for those of us who are sensitive. I had a conversation at Sephora, even 'Clean' doesn't guarantee fragrance free.
Fragrance in products, unless very slight, is a dealbreaker for me too. I’ve been using two sunblocks (my dermatologist said they must have both zinc AND titanium dioxide) that have no fragrance and the smell dissipates quickly. They are Colorscience 50 and Eminence clear. Hope that helps.
@@kathleenem9207 Colorescience isn’t my favorite because of the color. I have a warm olive undertone. The peach color of the Colorescience looks strange on me. I will have to try the other one. Thanks.
The Chanel Vitalumiere aqua is the most bougie foundation that I own. I love it. 😍. It’s hard to criticise a foundation under a mask for a couple of hours right.

I just bought color 00W shell and have been using it lovingly almost everyday! The SA at the closest Nordstrom, Cindy for Sisley, was adamant that Sisley skincare is all I need for decreasing/maintaining my hyperpigmentation. What are your thoughts on that? I am using tretinoin and hydroquinone but it does a number on irritating my skin. Do you use tretinoin and/or hydroquinone for any dark spots? (I like how this sisley foundation keeps my skin looking hydrated)

Nice touch w the blouse in the beginning that looked nice and I love your foundation reviews were very similar if I even wear it it’s very sheer so if you’ve not tried the double wear sheer by Estée Lauder you should it’s gorgeous foundation usually fades so quickly on me this lasted about 6 hours but it’s so nice

Lovely blurring effect. I find the difference that different lighting makes so interesting. The foundation worn away on your nose in the video taken in your car for example - to my eyes, not as noticeable in your studio lighting, and in the car, it had an almost healthy 'sunburnt' effect, bit like one of Lisa Eldridge's latest videos. I'm also really interested about many people's reactions to fragrance in cosmetics, and wonder when (or if) manufacturers will take notice and act accordingly.

I think you should try a 1. I usually use the same colors as you (like the dior 2n) but I’m a 1 in Sisley. :)
You look so fresh and pretty. Is the coral blush more pinky peach in color?
The pink and peach is split in the pan in the orchid design so depends on where you place your blush.
I find I can’t get a shade pale enough in Sisley and the undertones seem to be too yellow or too pink. I continue to hope I’ll find the perfect Sisley shade one day!

Looks nice, I was almost sold, until you mentioned the fragrance. I honestly do not get it why the luxurious makeup houses still put a ton of fragrance into their complexion products (Guerlain, for example, also is over the top in this respect. Chanel or Dior put fragrances into their products too, but I feel like not so much lately). 1) it's not good for people with sensitive skin and not good for skin in general, and 2) I never get what the point is. What if I don't like the particular foundation fragrance, what if it goes "against" my perfume I am otherwise using? After some time, you yourself stop registering a fragrance that's on you but that doesn't mean it's not there. Once, I think I had a Guerlain foundation on and a colleague told me in the middle of my workday that I smelled "interesting" today. Then I realised that it was probably a combination of the foundation (which I stopped registering by that time) and my usual perfume, which combined must have smelled like some kind of cheap and strong and unpleasant mixture. Do the brands ever think of this? Or do they think that if I use one brand's foundation, then I also use their parfume, shower gel and what not? Not really, since I do NOT choose my foundation based on its fragrance (if so, then rather based on its absence) and I do not know of any sane person who would choose their foundations based on fragrance. It's sooooo outdated thinking, they should stop doing it already!
nope, there's lots of botanical extracts also in many skincare products nowadays and they rarely smell like a bottle of perfume, or have smell lingering for the whole day. other brands, like Chantecaille also have lots of botanical extracts in their foundations and they do not smell like a perfume, they barely smell at all (because there is no added perfume). when you look up the list of ingredients, there's perfume in there. maybe they could start by getting rid of that and then we can see from there if the botanicals will be so overwhelming still (I very much doubt so).
My makeup artist told me yesterday that Dior is going 'Clean'. DOn't know if that is true or if it means fragrance free. Sure hope so.
I was so close to buying when the dreaded fragrance was mentioned.
It tickles me that they focus on the skincare benefits whilst lacing it with totally unnecessary, not skincare friendly fragrance.
Oh well, never mind.

Would love all you reviewers to do all day with mask, since that seems to be part of our life moving forward. Have only found LaPrairie cushion foundation to not rub on my mask.
The problem I have with Sisley foundations is that they always have a pink/ peach undertone that is very aging. Rarely do you find a neutral or yellow based undertone shade.
Which very very light foundation or? would you recommend? I’ve never worn foundation just blush and a tiny bit of concealer. Thank you!
All their other product, lips and eyes are yellow orange undertone.

I actually have a Sisley foundation that I do like, "but" it is very orange on me and I am a neutral?? Sadly, it seems that Sisley is still trying to get their very limited color choices correct! In the Cle De Peau, I am always a perfect beige, no guessing!!

I wish they would leave fragrance and especially sunscreen out. Usually the fragrance is there to cover the suncreen smell. These days I'm pretty sure we all put our own sunscreen on.

Wish alcohol wasn’t so high up on the ingredients list. Maybe just me but find it so drying to use on a daily basis
Love it, but I do think the shade is much too peach for you. And look at you wearing your Sisley blouse! Nice touch!
I returned this without even trying it on. It smelled too strongly of alcohol, and the fragrance was off putting. I love Sisley base products, but this was disappointing.
Good formulas overall but their colors are always a little wack.
