It's official. Princess, and all the others, need to just start lending you boats so you can do more "comprehensive" reviews over the course of a weekend or so at a time. :) This is absolutely lovely!
@@AQUAHOLIC I want to say that this is a video that would make or break a purchase decision. I love being included on these outtings! I am disabled and wake up in pain every day and this was the perfect distraction from that pain while I adjust to the day. Thanks for another wonderful video!
It’s 4:30am in Portland, Oregon and still struggling to sleep. What a treat to see Aquaholic’s latest video, making things a little happier. What a nice weekend retreat spent with your lovely wife. Beautiful to watch a couple, that truly enjoys each other’s company. Bravo!
My grandparents had a 17’ Silverline triple cathedral hull ski boat when they lived on West Bay in Lake Oswego, Oregon here in the states. I’d spend the hot summer nights onboard to avoid the heat in the house. Fold the seats down in to sun lounges and let the boat rock me to sleep. Ever since then, I’ve always wondered what it would be like to have a Cuddy Cabin instead of an open Bow boat. Thank you for this Nick. You brought back a few precious memories of when my grandparents were alive.
Me & the wife are going boating this weekend, starting off tomorrow morning from Holyhead to the Menai Straights, & park up at Beaumaris, then on to Conway Marina on Sunday, we love Conway so much history & nice shops. Then we'll come back on ourselves but this time go along the Menai Straights, which is a challenge indeed navigating through the Swellies, it has a tidal height difference, which can create currents up to 8 knots, power is needed as well. But we enjoy the challenge down to Dinorwic Marina, sleep over there then onto Aberystwyth, where we'll stay for 2 days then home
I thought I’d be bored as there’s no fishing, diving or running amok. But thank you so much, I loved every second of your video. I think it’s mostly because you obviously love and respect your boat and you enjoy every minute you’re on it. Take care and thanks again 👍
This is why people enjoy boating! The wonderful people and the freedom to travel to beautiful places and see wonderful sights! Mr. and Mrs. Burnham are truly the finest representation of human beings in the U.K. and beyond!
Nick, thanks for all of your reviews! I can tell you love boating and your boat. You have a nice boat and you take very good care of it (obviously)! I started with a used 1994 Regal 233 and moved up to a used 2000 Doral 270 SC in 2003. I had to have it repowered so I went with a Merc 350 MAG MPI. This boat was quit rare as it was rigged with a Nextgen 3.5 Kw diesel genset. I still like the idea of a 8'6" (beam) trailerable cruiser with range. Your VP D4 260 has been recently replaced with the updated D4 270 on the 2021 US Cutwater C28 also equipped with a 3.5 Kw Nextgen genset. Wish more European manufacturers, with similar sized boats, offered owner trailerable enclosed cabin cruisers with side decks similar to my Doral. It had a 100 gal. petrol tank, 12 gal. genset diesel tank, and 30 gal. fresh and black water tanks similar to the Cutwater. Requirements for long distance trailerable comfortable cruisers! Our options are very limited in the US particularly with outboard power. Cheers!
I think dislikes come when people with no interest in boating see a video such as this in their recommends. I believe they think the YT algorithim takes the dislike into account. I doubt that it works that way because YT even recommends to me videos I have just watched the day before :(
You're such a man of the people Nick, I was thinking oysters or lobster thermidor, but no it's fish and chips. You and your lovely wife make boating look like fun and affordable, quite an achievement.
Nothing better than falling asleep on a boat, salt air, the clanging of the mast and the boat rocking, relaxing..... Great footage once again by a ‘dodgy guy’, don’t blame you for not going in the water, always don my wetsuit.... friends always laugh at me till they jump in with just shorts.....
Thank you Nick and Marianne, I always get a fillip when watching your videos. I long to get back to cruising, I used to have a 38' fly=bridge which I practically lived on for two years.
You two really know how to relax. I think the world would be a better place if more people learned that skill. Marianne is a treasure. I'm so glad to see her in your videos. Thanks for taking us along!
This is the kind of freedom only a boat gives you, have been riding motorcycles and fast cars for the better part of my life, yet this is exactly the reason why I got my boating licence and want to get a cabin boat, just to spend a nice few days or a weekend with friends/family. Enjoy yourself Nick, you deserve it :-)
Yet another Aquaholic video bringing back fond memories. I did my RYA Level 2 and Intermediate Powerboating certificates with an instructor based in Brixham, so spent many hours tearing around Torbay in a 7metre RIB with a 250hp Honda on the back. Great fun. Nights in Dartmouth on a boat? Did that a couple of times when I was a student in Plymouth, albeit on a small sailing yacht a group of us chartered. I never had much of a knack for sailing so I gave myself the title of "G&T and Cigars Officer", the duties of which I took very seriously. Ice cream in Salcombe was always a highlight of a visit there. Wonderful video Nick, many thanks for bringing some very fond memories back to the fore.
I love it when I am really enjoying one of your videos and tap the screen to check progress and I am not even half way through. Lush vid. What a life. Keep it going!
What a fun weekend on board. Thanks so much for sharing it. As always, I love all of your videos and enjoy seeing ones of the two of you together enjoying life.

For the channel yeah. However, a personally owned boat is still so endearing.
Oh ok is it safer ??
it is only a matter of time: the sales exposure they will get is so gettable as to be eventually unavoidable :)
There is something about boating in Northern Europe. Where else can you get sunstroke and severe hypothermia on the same day ?
The desert of California.

Loved the cinematic of the boat going along at sunset.
I love the feeling when you hit the brakes and the wave comes up from behind and gives you a little gliding shove
How are people disliking this its literally a guy having the time of his life
