You forgot to show where to get the BARO/RADIO values in PERF/APP phase. You can them from the relevant APP charts. You usually pick the number indicated as DH and put it in RADIO which is your minimums altitude.

disconnecting the ap before landing isn't autoland though, is it??

Whew for a moment I thought you stopped doing clickbait, then I realized there was no autoland. Very clever!

Cool video great explanation - however why do you call the video „AUTOLAND“ when you’re not doing an autoland at all? This is regular ILS APP without autoland function. Too bad cos that’s what I was looking for…

Great video although that when you want to disconnect autopilot, you don't just click on the AP1 or AP2 on the panel. Although it's more of a hassle, clicking the red button on the sidestick in the cockpit is the right way as it gives the initial warning the the autopilot disconnected, but you don't need to click the warning light afterwards. The easiest way for me to disconnect it using the sidestick is using the left EFB view and panning down towards the sidestick.

Interesting. Going back to Xplane, I always hit AP1 and then clicked off the warning

6:54 You can fly on nav 1 and don't need to turn on nav 2. Nav 2 is a spare, in case one of the nav lights goes bad, you don't need to call maintenance as you can just switch to nav 2.
Btw, you need a CAT III ILS for a true autoland. The title is a bit misleading 😁
    Anyway, great tutorial!

Apologies for the confusion. People that want to learn to do an ILS landing think it's autoland, hence the title.
Thanks for watching and the tips!

@@hochmaniac In Airbus you dont have to do any speed settings. The bus will do it for you.Just activate App. Phase. I usually do it on downwind, before turning into ILS.
Then you control speed with the flaps. You have heard about green dot speed. It is the speed it sets without flaps. On the ILS you set one more flap, and see how the bus decelerate to speed matching the flap setting. It will do that all the way to full flaps. No need to turn in speeds, the bus do it for you.
In short, when you activate App Phase in MCDU, the bus goes to green dot speed, around 200-210 knts, depending on weight. Each time you wanna slow down a little, just set one more flap. So let your speed go on managed all the way, the bus will set correct speed.

Hey, great video ! Thanks for the autoland tutorial. But I was wondering how did you get the Jetblue livrery on A320 Fenix ? I can't get it in the Fenix livrery app.

This is an ILS landing not an autolanding, the autolanding automatically lands you on the runway.

Dude.. this has nothing to do with auto land… this is just a precision approach… Also it is good to first learn the procedures and the sequence of the actions that you have to do.. eg LS button is engaged usually below FL100.. Anyway nc try

Why in God’s name do you call this an auto land when you did a manual landing?
In terms of a tutorial is was poor. When you are doing a tutorial entitled “ILS tutorial” it needs to be step by step, fundamental, boredom--not changing up the parameters and throwing the student ( the reason for the tutorial in the first place) off track every ten second with extraneous information, this video was just a lot of showing off of your personal knowledge !
I am an old retired pilot trained in the steam gage era and lookin for a good, solid, ILS tutorial for my new Fenix A 320 not a dog chasing a rabbit in an open field tutorial!
I am impressed by your fountain of knowledge but not by your teaching ability!
    Aloha from retirement in Kona.
Do a more precise and understandable tutorial and I will sign off with an Aloha and Mahalo Nui Loa!
