Hi Simon. Hope all well with you. Just wanted to let you know that this video inspired me yesterday to get out on Dartmoor with just the inner of my MSR Elixir and had the most awesome night. Air flow was amazing and the stars when I woke up at 3am were incredible, not to mention when the sun came up and I didn’t have to unzip a fly sheet to see the views. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thank you Trudy! That’s so kind, I hope you’re well? I’m good, I will be going out again very soon so watch this space. My partner has been unwell and a new job has been priority!
Nice one as always, Simon and inspiring us to get out there. I laughed when you were looking for a spot, it was all tree litter apart from the one grass square you found. I thought “he’s taken a square of astroturf with him”😂 I’m off out on Dartmoor tonight, new Atmos pack & Rab Alpine bag but looks like gusting over 30 so will hopefully find a sheltered rock as @LondonerOutdoors did at KingsTor
Haha I should have done! It was a patch of grass and was familiar so went for it! Nice one mate, I need to check out Ben's video. Have a great time, some decent gear there. Just the one nighter?
4 pegs in her 😂😂😂😂 I do like that storage facility in the tent Simon . It is the season of midges and things crawling lol good to see you out mate atb Dave ⛺️👍
Nice video :) I’m sure biting midges didn’t used to be such a problem down south but I got bit by one at Easter camping in Kent so they’ve obviously made their way down here.
trying new oex bob cat tomorrow, inner only . thermarest quilt, trekology ul 50. soto pots and stove., sprinkling tarn here we go . cool vid si. will email photos sat or sun .stay safe fella .
Fab video as always Simon. Cheers Pal. I`m out next Tuesday trying out my new lightweight gear on our local fells. Can`t wait to try the Lanshan Pro 1 but depending on the weather might even do a Tarp and bivvi camp !! 😀
Hi mate! I’m healthy and clucking to get out, the mrs had a bad back for a few weeks so I was looking after her and I have a new job now which is all consuming. How are you? Hoping to get back out soon!
Love the Big Agnes Copper Spur. I have the HV UL 3 I did get it with the orange fly which is the only draw back when wild camping, but am hoping to get an olive fly . Did you purchase a footprint ?
Hey Brian, no I didn't. I do tend to trust the thinner floors on these lightweight tents and it seems not as thing as the MSR Hubba NX. Did you go for one? Thanks for watching bud, Si
Same rules apply, always need permission from the landowner before you camp anywhere in the UK (apart from Scotland and Dartmoor). Thanks for watching mate 👍🏻

Love a bit of Epping Forest action! Will be heading there for a camp soon
And yeah, very difficult to fine a decent, secluded pitch
Nice one Dave, are you out this weekend?
@@DaveScurlock so difficult mate!
@@SimonOutdoors tied up this weekend with work, but likely in the next couple of weeks - first camp in an age!

Liking this Copper Spur more than the abisko lite?
@@apleparulo3958 yup! Definitely more headroom. Not nearly as safe though, so would back the abisko at altitude
Brilliant video as per Si! What a lovely spot. I must get out in Epping at some point!
Cheers Max, watch for the midges! Rife! Are you guys out this weekend?
