This is a great video. So many dudes will do these and put a music track over the 911's superior music. Nicely done. I have an 82' Coupe (sold by Brumos) and a 79' Targa (sold in Bellevue Washington). Now I want to pick up an old 944 and strip it and redo it in Gulf livery as a race car.
God I miss the sound of a half opened window glass rattle 0:21... and a Recaro hugging you tightly as the front tires lose grip in the apex because you forgot to fill up with gas before hitting the twisties.
Very nice exhaust sound! One question- in minute 2:00 to 2:10 in your video: before you turn of the engine, i hear a kind of a "knocking" sound... is that really the original and normal engine sound? Because my SC has the same, and i am not sure, if maybe there is something wrong 😬
Hi Doug! Per Mike: "it’s a custom muffler built by a buddy of mine out of California. It’s basically an X-pipe design with cookie cutter inserts in each tip. The car is an ‘83 Euro spec SC with its internally stock 3.0, but I’ve swapped the CIS injection out in favor of ITBs and EFI. Suspension is all redone as well. Ton more photos and info over on my IG, @msmall90."
I used an ND (neutral density) filter to ensure my shutter speeds were at, or near, 1/50th of a second. I used a polarizer for the GoPro footage to cut through the windshield glass for a few shots.
.... Ah yes, first we were dodging their skate boards, then their Ricers ... and now with time and yet a little different twist they have acquired a new marque ...

@@michaelsmall1087 Well this is one of the coolest sounding 3.0s! My SC has been in restoration for over a year and half and this video gave me inspiration that it'll all be worth it. My next big upgrade is likely exhaust, I been considering SSI + Dansk.
For some shots, we used a wired lavalier mic that snaked out the door and attached to the rear bumper around the license plate. For others, we used a shotgun mic on the camera.
The overhead shots are awesome... Porsche is amazing- sort that door rattle when it shuts- that's very non-Porsche! By the way it's not a Porsh- it's a "Por-sha". Get that right too for future videos.
Door rattle is on the winter list with some other goodies, and that was sarcasm/blooper reel at the end there, I certainly know the correct pronunciations...tough crowd!
Hahah that bit was part of the outtake reel and was 120% sarcasm, no worries! I had the pleasure of knowing your brother for an all-too-short period of time, and you and I briefly chatted about your RS clone at Rennsport in 2018, specifically the 908-style air cleaners, too cool...
🙆♂️The noise of your exhaust on take off is bad ass...man, nice & raw👌 also noticed the R&K decal so something was telling me you maybe local. If you make it back to my neck of the woods & we meet, I have a decal for you too😉
@@ferdinandhuergas6040 Appreciate the kind words man...that muffler was born and built in your neck of the woods actually, Hoover Chan of Turbohoses in Livermore is the mad genius behind it. Far from local, but fortunate enough to know some of the NorCal crew. My car's west coast homes are either Tito Young or Erik Lind's garages. I'll get back out there sooner rather than later, beers on me dude!

Perfect audio capture. Love the car.
Reminds me of Bad Boys 1 the 1st original movie with that Porsche 911 and it’s sound 😍😍🔥🔥🔥
That sound is amazing

It's is the best sound recording.
Looked like a gran turismo 4 replay. Awesome stuff
Thanks! Grant Turismo 4 is still the best in the series IMO.
So many nice angles!
Pure bliss. Instant sub, thanks for the upload!
My pleasure friend. More coming soon.
Welp I know what I'm watching tomorrow
Beautiful video and car. =)
Oh yeah super cool!

Car sounds great. Shame about the rattle when the door was closed :)
awesome vid!!
best sounding sc.
That’s the best sounding 911 I’ve heard. How? Exhaust system? Carbs? 👌

@@TimFilmsCars thank you mate. Yes understood. Thank you for the info and for the video. Fantastic stuff. 👍
@@TimFilmsCars Tim, could your friend make another?
Great sound! What mics and placement?
Thanks! At that point, I had a few cheap Amazon wired lavalier mics going into a Zoom H2. Otherwise it was a Sennheiser MKE 600 on the camera.
@@TimFilmsCars The lavs actually sound great! These cars have such a unique sound, and you took great advantage of it!
Man that sounded badass , wish mine would sound just as good 👌 Is it hard to convert to ITB's ? Cheers
Amazing video, cinema style.
I was reading the cameras for the video, do you remember what kind of filter you used editing?

Wow, where's that front bumper from?
Do these use carburetors or fuel injectors????
Sounds like the timing is off?
This is an old vid, is the exhause stock or modified?
Really nice video/audio. That doesn’t sound stock can you share what exhaust mods you have? Would love to know more about this car in general :)
