Welcome to a new series on the channel; Photo Essays! In these episodes you guys get to choose upcoming locations for me to photograph. Comment down below where I should go next! Also drop a like if this is a series you would to see more of!!
Such a cool video! I just recently bought a point and shoot 35mm film camera and a slr film camera. Been watching videos on film and have just really wanted to get into it. Im going to Yoesmite next week and have been trying to do some research on it. You just blew me away with those photos, you really have inspired me to start! Thank you so much!
One of yr best videos I reckon. The video is awesome, but then we see the film shots of the same scene and the film just puts them on another level. I'm going to the French alps soon for walking and thinking I might take some portra 160. How do you stop the highlights being blown when yr over exposing? In mountains I find too many shots can get blown out.
this was a great video, and the photos are fire! Love this new series, cant wait for the next one.

I’m very inspired by watching your video. I’m going to Yosemite later this month and I’m super excited. That’s for sharing your photos from this beautiful place. Always it’s a pleasure to watch your YT content. Sending good energy from Poland.
Really enjoyed this video! Please make a video on composition, techniques etc to have a better photograph. Loved the tip in which you wanted a foreground!
Awesome photos! Wow, looking at your video you would never think Yosemite is the two hour in car waiting to enter and exit Yosemite Valley other videos make it out to be. You should never go looking for a bear because they are a lot faster than humans. You might be looking for Smokey the Bear but find Cocaine Bear instead.
Glacier point rd for the Half Dome photographs? I visit Yosemite twice, but I have Issues with Yosemite National Park: 2008 : Rock slide at Curry Village Hotel. Hotel temporary closed. Trip leader saved the trip by organizing alternative lodging en photography locations. 2013 : Very bad weather, photography workshop got canceled. Did alternative photography trips at the California coast.
I absolutely loveeeee these images. I just picked up an MP and a ton of Portra and I must ask. When you got the film developed did you push the film +1 in development considering your shot 400 as 200
@@MarcEstrella If you shoot 400 speed film at iso 200 then you are overexposing one stop. Pushing the film would mean that you are shooting it at 800 and therefore underexposing it in camera one stop. Most people do this in order to be able to shoot lower iso-film in darker environments as the film is then developed as a 800 speed film. I´m not trying to be rude either but I find it mind boggling how someone spends thousands of dollars on a MP without a fundamental understanding of the medium.
@@danieleliasson3592 ohh it’s simple , I’ve been working professionally for several years as a digital photographer . I’ve always wanted a Leica due to the look , feel and mechanical nature of them. Recently decided to reward myself for quitting my day job and shooting full time . For me it’s a monumental point in my life where I have the time to finally learn something new and wanted to step up from the point and shoot film cameras I use to photograph my family .I’ve been saving to get the thing I’ve wanted as a kid . I saved up the money and decided to pull the trigger which makes me happy. As I told people in my previous job , people buy expensive things for different reasons. There’s no need for confusion because if you had the money to spend for something you wouldn’t think about it the same way. No I don’t think a Leica will make me a better photographer. I just wanted it so I bought it . Easy as that. My comment on this video was to learn not challenge . Remember not everyone who buys a sports car races and not every person who buys a pickup truck works in construction. Thanks for explaining. The reason why I asked what I asked is because it’s mentioned in the video that he’s pushing film but then mentioned he was shooting over exposed and changed the shutter speed in addition to changing the iso speed on camera . If you are pushing then why push even further by over exposing the already over exposed film?
Your videos and especially this one inspires me to get my digital camera and start learning to take photos so then I can move on to a film camera and really be as great as you. 🙏🏽
Haha that Half Dome spot is 🔥 About 7 years ago I stopped my vintage VW Westfalia and got the most epic shot! Ill send it on Insta if you wanna see. Thank you for braving the busy summer season Yosemite is having. Traffic in the Valley musta sucked!!😂🎃👻

you must have T-mobile? I hear VZW or At&T work best in Yosemite
I love 35mm film
I've gotta try that move, "turn around again, it's really cinematic" then move in really close 😅 end with a kiss on the cheek 💋
I wish I would have taken my film camera with me when I visited last year.
Where do you send your rolls

Wait a min , you shoot 400 as 200 then over expose a stop . Isn’t that the same as shooting at 400? Truly not sure , not trying to come off rude man

Yosemite in summer = Clarity slider ->
A hiker just lost their life to a bear in this park.
we need 4k
Beautiful! I love what God made for us.
9:02 reminded me of Pierre's video of the same location, ua-cam.com/video/lftI6cpR4vw/v-deo.html
Lol did you get 200 feet from your car at any point? You went to a National park to shoot from the street? Ok.
Photos are lit! You’ve mastered Sunny 16, wish I could be as good as you!
Maybe not mastered but I try and practice!
@@KingJvpes guess I’ll need to practice even more then! Hahahaha
