Yes exactly and every time i see his video...i feel like be with Thomas that location feel nature and learn everything about landscape photography.. Thank you.
Oh man all those sounds of the Hasselblad takes me back! That hood popping up, the latch on the film back... I miss that camera! Even the bloody plate that never wanted to go back in!
Honestly, your videos are all so peaceful and satisfying, that it cures my anxiety. Everytime I see a new one pop up on my feed, it brightens my day. Thanks a lot for that Thomas. Looking forward to many more brightened days!
Hi Thomas how are you? I have wanted to tell you for a while that what you has been an inspiration to me. Your channel is the 8th wonder of the world in my opinion. My name is Reno Manne and I am a very well known coach...apparently. I have been watching your videos for over a year now. You make the world a better place, you really do. I have become a very enthusiastic photographer again after watching your videos. I had the love of photography since I was a boy but didn't find the inspiration to believe in myself as a photographer, being a famous coach leaves you with an identity if you know what I mean. Watching your videos has given me an inner peace and a direction to follow a hobby again that gives me joy. The joy of nature that has alway been in me, the want to capture natures beauty. Watching your channel has been that inspiration. Your channel is the best I have seen. Thank you for what you do Thomas.
Ah great. Another Video from Thomas - Time to switch from watching on the small display while doing stuff to kicking back with a coffee and watching the video on the big screen.
I can't thank you enough for your videos ♡ I discovered your channel about one month ago and it's not only interesting and beautiful to watch for me as a photographer, it also helps calming me down because I suffer from a general anxiety dissorder and panic attacks.
There is something calming about watching the set up of loading the film, setting up the tripod, mounting the camera, metering, and firing the shutter all in the still quietness of the woods. I really enjoyed the video and your photography journey.
I really appreciate your perspective and recipe of a great image, less clarity less vibrance less saturation less contrast , can't agree more. I also appreciate you would shoot in a day like this because most photographers only shoot at sunny days, magic hours, something like that. to me, misty , foggy , rainy days are part of the nature as well.
portra 400 is the swiss army knife of film photographers ! Great work as usual ! Unfortunately in my country, way too many hunters in the woods during this part of the year, too dangerous to go there and shoot. Even during lockdown, shops are closed, people can't go outside more than 1h, and have to stay in a 1km radius area, but hunters are allowed to go into the woods... anyway, not the point of the video but, even though woodland photography is not my favorite kind, I would love to go out and shoot some fall colors
That is a good recipe, be it film or digital. Beautiful shots. Mists are magical to say the least. Colors, textures, mist and subtle light...I'd say that woodland was the perfect place to be on that day. :) Definitely have had to "eliminate things" with no choice in the comp also, Photoshop and Bob's your uncle!. That Pylons in the mist is really nice. making something unattractive, attractive, nice! Liken the lichen!
Loving your local lockdown videos Thomas. Found your comments really insightful, especially using square crop to help simplify the image, great stuff sir 👍
What a beautiful woodland. Really enjoyed this video. Your images are sublime. And the clip of the friesian horse at the end was an extra special treat.
this reminds me to not take the mental shortcut „lanscape = wide angle“, but rather use that 150 next time to work out those details. thank you for that, thomas!
I've always enjoyed your content, but as a film enthusiast, I get even MORE excited when you release a new video using your Hasselblad :). Thanks for the awesome video!
I for one, would like one video to be of nothing but a slideshow of Thomas's woodland pictures. A "chillout" video to relieve the stress of being a victim of quarantining......
Great start of the video. I thought you were gonna go for another ASMR type video, but what a nice surprise. And these shots man ! Great morning indeed !!
very simple video, yet so beautiful collection of shots and wonderful colors. do hope after shooting maybe various of film types you can share more thoughts on your thoughts of each film, though you might already have in previous videos.
Loved the photos Thomas, you certainly have a good eye for nice shots, have been watching a lot of your videos for a while now, and one thing I have learnt from you is to slow down and actually look at a scene properly, and look for a good composition and not just click away
Great Vlog, Challenging but wonderful location, Brilliant images, I think these images are among the best for a while, it just goes to show you don't need to travel far to take great images
00:15 It's been many, *many* years since I shot film, (silence kids, grandpa is telling stories :-) ) but there was always that mix of excitement and 'fear' when you opened the package of a new roll of film. Carefully pulling out the strip of film, juuuust enough to fit on the winding spool, so with some luck you would manage to squeeze not 36, but 37 or sometimes even 38 exposures out of it... Closing the back of the camera and then hoping you did it right and the film wouldn't slip off the spool without you knowing it... Yeah, all that came back when I saw Thomas load that roll of film in the camera :-)
Real nice to see such beautiful shots in an aesthetic which is the complete opposite that I go for. I love colour and crunch in overcast, wet conditions, but portra looks really nice here.
I think the last shot was better for not having had more fog. There was enough mist there to give the forest a lot of depth, but the minimal amount of it allowed for quite a colorful image. Well done!
Mr. Thomas Heaton, This is an Amazing Video, the scene of the video is so beautiful, the sounds in the video are spectacular, the education that you give in this video is outstanding! and the effort that you put in this video is incredible. Thank you for sharing such a useful , fun and enjoyable work piece. Keep up the amazing work 👍 to all those who watch this magnificent video, I wish you all a glorious time as well in this great video. Love, Joy and Peace to you all 😊. Gratefully +THE ILLUMINATION OF LOVE ❤️
Your videography and story telling is absolutely beautiful; the reason I keep coming back to watch your vlogs. Ps. Photography is also great of course :D
Oh lord those blues in the mist. P.S. absolutely love your channel. I have got a huge amount of inspiration from your videos and it is always lovely to see your upload on YT!

Dont see any hot chic in here yet
It's fantastic to watch your every moment surrounded by nature...this is something I love doing too.
05:10 "It's all subjective. Just do what you love" My favourite quote of the day! 👌
“Of course it’s all subjective. Just do what you love.” This is why you are one of the best photographers on UA-cam.

Love the last image
I agree, the colors were so subtle and unique.
Portra 400 is a beautiful choice to complement autumn colors.
Great composition and mood in the first few seconds of the video with the misty forest and bluish tint.
Beautiful morning indeed!
This was, is my opinion, the best series of images you've ever shot! In awe of every single one!
Honestly, your videos are all so peaceful and satisfying, that it cures my anxiety. Everytime I see a new one pop up on my feed, it brightens my day. Thanks a lot for that Thomas. Looking forward to many more brightened days!

One has to love those Portra 400 colors! That first image especially is insanely good! One of your best in my opinion 😃
I like the last photo the most. Colors are just superb.

Really enjoyed how you opened up this video. Felt like I’d stepped into those woods with you for a couple of minutes. Great work as always Thomas
These are the types of videos I love to watch.
Very zen today! Perfect watch on a Saturday morning.

Thomas, your pictures hit my taste on point this time. Goosebumps. Thanks.
I really liked that last shot. Its clarity, thanks to no mist, suited it well. Typical lovely video all around.

Absolutely love the second image with the nice background colours. Keeping it simple really works.
Portra is probably my favorite all time colour film.

The first shot in the mist was adorable! 👌
I ordered your book and calendar and they should be arriving tomorrow! I can't wait!
Man. So pumped you're shooting so much film lately. Amazing images!
Loved the video. The colors of the trees, the ethereal mist, and the sounds of the mechanical film camera rarely heard these days. Thank you!
Lovely images. Portra 400 was a great choice.
Your videos give me such an inner peace and make me just feel comfortable.
I for one, would like one video to be of nothing but a slideshow of Thomas's woodland pictures. A "chillout" video to relieve the stress of being a victim of quarantining......
Amazing shots, as always!
I must say I love the idea of shooting film again, I've really enjoyed these videos.

Great start of the video. I thought you were gonna go for another ASMR type video, but what a nice surprise. And these shots man ! Great morning indeed !!
I really liked the silent intro. That setting didn't need music. I would title that first one "Absolutely Beech".
Peaceful.

Started to photograph woodland myself because of you. Big inspiration!

Good old Thrunton. Great for a run with the dog. Some nice twisted older trees around Callaly crag and Hob's nick .
Awesome content Thomas ...really enjoy your channel
Tom, you and Portra work extremely well together! I look forward to seeing what you both come up with in the near future.
Great video, Thomas!
Great video and even better images. Thank you.
