The portra 400 is not made in nc and vc from 2010 i read on wikipedia so how is this new portra compared whith the nc from before 2010? If i take them to the lab
Awesome video and some fantastic photos. I'd love to visit those ginormous trees one day but I'm from the UK so it might be a while. Congratulations to your mum too, that's great news.
Good video, +1. A spot meter is also nice. just sayin -a random mike edit: The least expensive spot meter for you is likely a N90s/F90x (or a N8008s -which is also a joy to hold). It will also provide you a B&W camera OR a camera for your color film and leave the star of your show, the F2, to revel in black and white goodness.
Thank you for an amazing video and some really wonderful pictures. I was about to quit my film photography, but now I am inspired again - tank you! How do you scan your film?
I like the color plus shots for sure but any picture with a person the skin tones are a little too orange. I think I would go with Portra personally. Great video!

Ektar is absolutely fine, but it seems more appropriate for autumn colors than my style of landscape. Still need to try Velvia 50, thanks for watching!
I shot some Velvia in the mountains this summer. Don't try it. Seriously, don't. The colors look amazing and I was so excited when I opened the envelope with slides. The vibrancy just blew me away. 11/10 would shoot again. But it's fckn expensive and (at least here in Europe) pretty hard to even get your hands on.
New Game: How many times does Christy stick out her tongue in this video?

I speak for everyone when I say....we NEED more Chloe content!
Heard chef!
Forests in sunny conditions can be pretty challenging to shoot. Bright highlights and very deep shadows.

Appreciate the info! Been meaning to invest in a spot meter soon! Cheers

These images were done with my local lab, but now I usually DSLR scan negatives.

Best color films for landscape? Ektar 100 and Velvia 50.
Glad you're mom is going better!

Did you use the Nikon F2 for the first 2 photos in the beginning of the video?
Yes indeed!
