Lucasfilm just announced a HUGE revamp of Star Wars gaming. Electronic Arts no longer has the exclusive rights to Star Wars games, Ubisoft is creating an Open World Star Wars game, and the future is looking GREAT.

And here's an interesting side-note: The studio making the new open world game (Massive Entertainment, based in Sweden) is not the same studio that made the Assassin's Creed games (Ubisoft Montreal). Massive Entertainment is the studio that made The Division games
I only played the division 2 and man the amount of detail in the world was astounding! Really impressive and from what I've read even the bus stations or the sewer caps were in the right place compared to reality.

1-UP KING Squadrons was absolute garbage. As racist as this may sound the white characters looked absolutely mediocre and the other characters looked much better. It felt like the devs specifically made the white characters look ugly so people would use the others and I just want to be able to make a character that looks like me and not feel forced to play someone I don’t look like

Upgrading your Beskar armour could be similar to Oddessy where you upgrade the knife of Leonides and makes you more powerful and stronger.
I definitely like the idea of creating my own mandalorian. Fully customization armor and weapons as well. Maybe even making your own clan. The Mandaorians are one of, if not, my favorite thing in Star Wars.

I really just want a Star Wars Empire at War remake. It is the highest-reviewed Star Wars game on Steam and deserves a major remake to its loyal community.

Agreed, I think if they pull the best things from every bf game and expand upon that they’d have a phenomenal game.
Open-world is, without a doubt, one of the best ideas for Star Wars ever. Imagine getting to play as a trooper, or a force-user, or a bounty hunter across any of the canon time periods. Imagine getting to re-enact classic battles or fights. Imagine literally shaping Star Wars how you want it. I have been waiting so long for this, and now it’s finally happening.
I honestly would just like a completely open world game where you can literally do whatever you want. You just start off as a normal civilian on a planet and can choose a path and become a smuggling or a Jedi or something. Take up a bounty and get some credits to buy a ship. Work up your way up and become crazy powerful. Then go take over jabbes palace on tattooine and become the underworld boss. But welcome and ships and create an army and do what ever you want. That is my dream game.

They haven't technically lost it yet, they still have the exclusive rights (I think). The reason I think this is because these new games that are being announced are probably coming out in 2 or 3 years time, which is round about when EA was meant to lose their exclusive licence to Star Wars games. So, for the time being, they still the exclusive rights and these are just games that probably coming out after they lose their exclusive rights, Idk maybe I'm wrong.

I'm with you when it comes to creating a character. I usually like set characters but when it comes to star wars games, I love making my own. Especially a Mandalorian! I want to make a Mandalorian more than a Jedi or a Sith, I feel like the inner workings aren't explored enough and to have a game based on being one would be awesome. Only time will tell! Oh my gosh! Best news I've heard in a long time. I'd definitely prefer a game where you're your own Mandalorian, and you get raised into the Mandalorian way. Designing your own mandalorian's play style and upgrading / customizing your mandalorian armor would be unbelievably amazing. I have a very rare play style from most gamers, so being able to customize my loadout and armor for my play style would be a dream come true.

I think a good balance of a custom character or set character would be great! A set one makes for better character chemistry but if you could customize that set character it would be amazing
I think the Ubisoft game will be a bounty hunter game. Bounty hunters is the most diverse group in Star Wars, there are humans, clones, Duros, Rodians, Trandotians, and many many more. The customization would be insane. You could choose any weapon, outfit, and ship.
My man, I also absolutely loved the Witcher 3. And anything close to that in star wars would be amazing. The opportunities are countless
Imagine in the open world game you can select characters for specific missions in the timeline. Like one moment you can be little Ani pod racing and the next fighting Kyle Ren.

Question: How to do long killstreaks in a grand assualt on Battlefront 2? When ever I get the hero a die right away in like 10 seconds or i'm sweating my ass off while barely 'holding onto the cliff'

-open world Star Wars game
-rpg
-bounty hunter protagonist
-fully customizable (species, gender, etc.) with a bunch of different aliens to chose from
-fully customizable load outs and weapons
-no voice actor to ruin your perception of your character
-variety of joinable factions
That sound great! also when the games get released could you tell us what games are the best and most worth to buy.
Let's leave 2013-2019 behind us. This is a new era for Star Wars. Hopefully there'll be no more episode 8s or 9s, no more battlefront 1s, no more launch failures like Battlefront 2. Only time will tell.

We should be able to choose our own name/character in the Ubisoft open world game. But, we should have a set "Title" similar to how Fallout does it with "Chosen One", "Lone Wanderer", "Courier", etc.

When I think about an open world Star Wars game all I can think about is gta v and just getting enough credits to buy my very own star destroyer or instead of a facility it’s a Death Star “with an orbital cannon”
The Ubisoft open-world game should be like cyberpunk for the character(I haven’t played it, but watched videos). You can create what your character looks like and the background, and there is so much Star Wars could use with that
To be specific about the games we know, the Indiana Jones game under development is being developed by MachineGames, the guys behind the newer Wolfenstein games. I'm excited for it, but my expectations are tempered after how rough Youngblood was. As far as the Ubisoft Star Wars game, it's being developed by Massive Entertainment, the devs behind Tom Clancy's The Division. This one I'm more excited for to be honest.
If someone wanted to make a Mando game but keep your appearance a suprise, you should start through a prologue like Fallout 4 where you craft the parents instead and the ai blends
