Honestly, the fact that BF2 started to be so good towards the end of its life hurts so much. The top 3 things that should have been added (from this list) for me are: 1. Finish Ahsoka and Padme 2. Gungan announcer would have been amazing 3. The dances. “I’m Han Solo” is the best song of the past generation. Honorable mention: Leia’s ass

If only the developer knew that pink Vader merchandise already existed. Heck, they could have followed the steps of Gentle Giant and donated proceeds from a pink skin DLC to breast cancer research
Well the problem also lies with Disney. Disney gave exclusivity to EA with the condition they only release what Disney wants released. So EA can only put skins out that are “canon.” This means no clue references to memes or comicon or the old comics or books etc. which sucks cause in the old order 66 comic there was a wounded Vader costume they could’ve pulled from. In the early days of the Empire, Vader battled a bunch of Jedi that try to ambush him and gets beat to hell. His chest box smokes and sparks, he has lightsaber burns and slashed all over, and his helmet gets cracked causing him to have one of his eyes exposed. He looked so evil with this one angry red eye poking out surrounded by scarred skin. Now they would’ve been a cool skin to compliment the wounded Grievous skin.

A pink Darth Vader absolutely could've been used as a form of marketing towards the female gamers, kinda like what Halo Infinite is doing right now by teaming up with makeup companies to sell Halo skins through those purchases. Pink Vader would've probably been a favorite amongst the playerbase too after the Sledgehammer guy decided nobody wanted it. I know I would've used it just to spite him

oh wow that first "fact " (the R2D2 & C3PO intro) brought back a lot of buried memories haha. I remember staying idle in the menu waiting for the scene to start, and staying there, watching as it repeated again and again and again. I don't know why, but I used to think that the quality of the sound in that scene was so much better than the one from the movie, for some reason it sounded very fucking good. Anyways, yeah I loved that little thing.

Death Star 2015 with the long game mode was the best thing they ever did, getting bossk on the second stage was even more special, it’s sad that that is not possible anymore because of the lack of player base whom mostly don’t have the DLC, best 30 minutes of gaming one could ever have.
I'm surprised you didn't talk more about launch chewbacca's appearance. He was literally a random wookie model, it didn't look like chewbacca at all. When they did update him, I was amazed at just how different he looked before. It's like they had to launch the game before his model was ready.
In retrospect, it was EA moving DICE's internal teams around to shift development toward Battlefield 2042. EA stopped the development of Battlefront 2 just as it was really starting to shine, so they could focus on DICE's greatest catastrophe since the launch of Battlefield 4.
Honorable mentions: Don Boushh, Star Cars, and who could forget Drew the Clone Commando Also, I think "Alternate realties" might be referring to the developers stating they didn't want to do anything that would break the Star Wars canon, when meanwhile it's possible to play Palaptine on Jakku.
If i remember correctly the offline GA thing wasn't just people asking for it the entire lifetime of Bf2 but dataminers actually finding an unfinished version of it on some maps using the Instant Action AI. Which is kind of sad since GA is the best mode in BF2 and i wanted it to be released in IA for a long time (should have been offline at launch alongside Starfighter Assault imo).
You know what I would like as a video? Like a video recompiling all the old habits that were done by old players in old battlefront 2. What’s did you used to do, how the game changed update by update, etc. As a new player, it’d be really interesting xD

I actually like the flashbang a lot for leia as i played her a lot. It was super useful against saber heros as you could flank and insta kill them by shooting them in the back. I find the grenades to not do much of anything so i see it as a big nerf

The only thing I will ever always have beef with Dice BF2 is that, it's got the Dice touch. I would love a remaster of the true BF2 so that that feeling, the mechanics, still bring that awesome feeling. A revamped story with more depth, and up-to-date graphics, even some good added heroes.
I cant believe its been 3 years since Anakin came out, very shortly after I started getting heavily into the game and community. I remember excitedly waiting for a CT to drop on my first greyhound bus ride to college. Now Im almost about to graduate. I havent really played the game since they ended support and that was already almost two years ago. This was a really nice and nostalgic video.
Whats worse about the lack of love that the OT trilogy got in BF2 is that they were about to add loads more OT updates with Jyn and Krennic as well as the bespin Carbonite chamber. Its a real shame that EA cut Live service as I would have and so would loads of other people love to see how huge this game could have become and how much money as thats all Ea care about it could have earned.

I just figured I’d mention the BF’15 launch Han Solo gun(can’t remember it’s name). It was one shotting everything from across the map and was ultra overpowered, especially for the people who preordered the game and got it on launch day

There is one detail I remember from BF 2015 Vader that was better than BF2 one. Vaders choke felt way more brutal and dead enemies, instead of weird quick teleport to the ground, fallen slowly and more realisticaly.
After I played the entire bf2 campaign in 2 days I played the game for like a week then I left for like a year because of the lack of content with the occasional check in

It's not exactly a secret but I really liked the BO rifle, and thought that the way they introduced it was rather clever. Thing was OP as hell, but damn if it wasn't fun.
I'm surprised the Hero duplication glitch wasn't on here. I also have had an experience on Ewok Hunt where the entire map shook and there was a loud roar. Still to this day I have no clue how it happened
If only I was the one in charge of BF2 nobody would ever be sad again …. Monthly Blasters, Star Cards, Reinforcements, Heros, Maps, and Skins would still be getting added to the game even to this day… if only the team had someone like me who cares about the game

Even though the criticism for this particular game was definitely deserved, that CM comment about armchair developers is so insanely true. Gamers are spoiled and whiny nowadays, thinking they always know best and think they should get everything for free. Other than that, watching this video reminds me just how much I loved BF2015... BF2 definitely did almost everything better but I DID love the sheer amount of customization you could do with troopers. They definitely improved this in BF2 over time but I miss being able to customize virtually every aspect of my troopers. I get why they changed it (balancing, mostly) but it's still something I miss. I just wish EA would release BF2015 as a free-to-play title, making it very clear that it won't be receiving any updates, so that we could get the game at least a little bit more populated. Also, regarding the two unused reinforcements, as cool as the pilot would have been, I've ALWAYS hated air strike-styled mechanics in shooters so I'm glad that particular ability never made it in. Otherwise, it would have been awesome. I've always loved the Rebel pilot outfit ever since I was a kid and played Rebel Assault 2. And in terms of HVV, I always preferred the old target-based version. It forced teams to play strategically and with actual teamwork. Ever since they changed it, it just became rush-the-toughest-hero-and-ignore-everyone-else. No strategy, no teamwork, just irritating spam kills, especially on maps that have bottomless pits.

I cant believe its been 3 years since Anakin came out, very shortly after I started getting heavily into the game and community. I remember excitedly waiting for a CT to drop on my first greyhound bus ride to college. Now Im almost about to graduate. I havent really played the game since they ended support and that was already almost two years ago. This was a really nice and nostalgic video.
Whats worse about the lack of love that the OT trilogy got in BF2 is that they were about to add loads more OT updates with Jyn and Krennic as well as the bespin Carbonite chamber. Its a real shame that EA cut Live service as I would have and so would loads of other people love to see how huge this game could have become and how much money as thats all Ea care about it could have earned.
I didnt think I'd be all that upset about not getting more heroes but hearing those grievous voice lines im absolutely seething we didnt get them
Geez this was an unexpected trip down memory lane. While I don’t keep up much with Battlefront 2 in recent days (despite being a day 1 player) I do hope for the day where a battlefront 3 releases with success

I just figured I’d mention the BF’15 launch Han Solo gun(can’t remember it’s name). It was one shotting everything from across the map and was ultra overpowered, especially for the people who preordered the game and got it on launch day

There is one detail I remember from BF 2015 Vader that was better than BF2 one. Vaders choke felt way more brutal and dead enemies, instead of weird quick teleport to the ground, fallen slowly and more realisticaly.

I'm way too late for this, but for 11:08, this is also a reference to the unreleased Stormtrooper Rescue skins that were planned for the 2015 Death Star DLC release. They were going to release skins of Han and Luke in their stormtrooper disguises but nothing ever came of them.

On the hero cape/cloak, Lando from solo had great physics and then for whatever they updated it and it just clips through his entire arm now compared to before. Idk how they ruined it

Even though the criticism for this particular game was definitely deserved, that CM comment about armchair developers is so insanely true. Gamers are spoiled and whiny nowadays, thinking they always know best and think they should get everything for free.
Other than that, watching this video reminds me just how much I loved BF2015... BF2 definitely did almost everything better but I DID love the sheer amount of customization you could do with troopers. They definitely improved this in BF2 over time but I miss being able to customize virtually every aspect of my troopers. I get why they changed it (balancing, mostly) but it's still something I miss. I just wish EA would release BF2015 as a free-to-play title, making it very clear that it won't be receiving any updates, so that we could get the game at least a little bit more populated.
Also, regarding the two unused reinforcements, as cool as the pilot would have been, I've ALWAYS hated air strike-styled mechanics in shooters so I'm glad that particular ability never made it in. Otherwise, it would have been awesome. I've always loved the Rebel pilot outfit ever since I was a kid and played Rebel Assault 2.
And in terms of HVV, I always preferred the old target-based version. It forced teams to play strategically and with actual teamwork. Ever since they changed it, it just became rush-the-toughest-hero-and-ignore-everyone-else. No strategy, no teamwork, just irritating spam kills, especially on maps that have bottomless pits.
