Hi I’m very nervous for mine, mine is tomorrow at 1:15pm and I already had my gallbladder removed but having some symptoms still. Dr is specialized in ERCP and he said he will be doing EUS first and if he sees something he will then continue to ERCP, I just am so worried.
Thanks for the amazing video - I have severe acute pancreatitis (necrosis) - had two major laparotomies and several ERCP performed for my Pancreatic and Bile Ducts. I am in this condition since March 2019. I just had an ERCP performed yesterday due to sludge and stones blocking my stents. My GIT Specialist successfully cleared the stones and sludge and replaced the stents with new one in my CBD. The stent to my PD is removed. This is my story in short and I am thankful for this video - it really calmed me down - thanks and may God Bless You All.
Stumbled across this video narrated by my doctor ! Going back to Indy from Illinois this morning for 2nd ESWL, and hopefully an ERCP to remove stone fragments, and possibly stent placement ? GOD's speed to us all ! 😉👍
Three years ago, I had acute pancreatitis and had four ERCP procedures at IU. The GI endoscopy team, led by Dr. Fogle was wonderful and I highly recommend them. Thank you for all you did to help me recover from that horrible disease.
I have also had this done.sep.2016 they done this first then took my gallbladder...Left a sent in for 8weeks went back had it took out.one year later was having pain ,went to the doctor and he done a ct scan said I had another blockage and had to have another stent put in left 8week was in hospital two weeks with pancreatic..Now I am having trouble again pain in my side and worrying...What do you think?
Appreciate video content! Excuse me for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Dinanlinson Rebooting Health Approach (should be on google have a look)? It is a great exclusive guide for getting rid of chronic fatigue syndrome without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my cousin finally got cool success with it.
I had multiple organ failure as a result of severe acute pancreatitis after my ERCP . I fell into the tiny percentage that react very VERY severely to this procedure. I needed that stent ☹️ . It was the most pain I’ve ever experienced. I screamed the hospital down. I now need another one as my bile ducts are enlarged and I’m utterly petrified.
Sandra Dalton I’ve not had the second ERCP yet my doctors are very nervous about it. In the process of scans. Pain is getting worse though so it will be crunch time to do it soon. I’m dreading it 😔
@@mitzypinks1338 I'm so sorry for your pain. I can't imagine going thru that again. Something necessary but scary and painful. Please keep me updated. I will be praying for you.
Sandra Dalton Thank you so much for your kind words . Yea it’s really scary . My consultant and doctor are scared too as they said before last time it happened that they would have to avoid ever doing it again if possible. I live in the fear of ever getting to that uncontrollable level of pain again where all I could do was scream and hope that I would die so that it would stop. Only fentanyl would touch it and only for a few hours. It also caused cardiac arrest . It was a very severe reaction. The whole thing left me with chronic Pancreatitis for life. It caused severe damage to my duodenum too (This bit miraculously recovered). Everything repaired slowly just my pancreas never did. I take Creon for my food to digest properly. Every meal is pain. The new pain (that needs investigation) is now on the right side . I can’t sleep on my right side. I took antibiotics which helped it a bit as they said there was infection in the bile ducts (my gallbladder already long removed - that’s why I had the ERCP in the first place as gall stones rolled out during cholecystectomy. ). Now my bile ducts are massively dilated according to my latest MRCP and my liver levels are very very high. So this is why my consultant says that I need another ERCP to investigate but that if I were to have it it would have to be in a highly specialised environment (not where I live) and with a team of the very best. They think I might also have sphincter of oddi dysfunction on top. Whole thing massively sucks. It’s ruined my life. I can’t work anymore. The pain is too much. I’m a music teacher and conductor and miss it so much. Ah well I should be grateful I’m alive really xx
@@mitzypinks1338 How did all this start? My pancreatic problems started from high triglycerides. At least that is what I believe. Where do you live? And what new specialists will you pick? All I know is I recently had to have a Cholecystectomy and 3 of these in order to remove all the stones and place a stent. All this took 2 weeks in the hospital, and I was miserable the whole time. I also have to go through it again in 2 mos. to remove the stent. The gas pain and nausea post op is awful.
To me, a botched ERCP is more common than reported. My doctor pierced my bile duct resulting in pancreatitis, fluid on my liver and blood poisoning. I was in the hospital for 10 days to over come the poison. Long recovery time in which I lost 30 pounds in weight.

No she had no other issues. Jan 22 she was so sick. Her hemoglobin dropped to 5! They had to go in again to stop the gi bleed and then 14 days of antibiotics to fight the infection caused by one of the instruments.
