my mrcp showed no gallstones but my pancreas & bile duct is dilated. So I’m super nervous wondering why I need the ercp. What are they looking for? I wish the video would explain that. I heard the ercp itself can cause pancreatitis.
hey Diana, good question! ERCP helps find stuff like tiny stones or blockages that MRCP can miss. Yeah, it can cause pancreatitis sometimes, but docs only do it if they really think it’ll help u more than harm. Just ask ur doc to explain more if u need. Hope it goes well
@@ecgkid thanks. Why doesn’t the MRCP pick up the stones or blockages? My MRCP said no gallstones. But my pancreas & bike duct are dilated. What can that mean? I just saw gastro a few days ago. She said she is concerned about the bile duct. We did the C9 or whatever cancer lab & that came back negative but she said that’s not 100%. How risky is an ercp? Can you please elaborate? Thank you.
Bruh....I got this procedure done in order to remove my gallbladder and my doctor agitated my pancreas giving me pancreatitis 😢😢😢😢😢THAT was worse than labor pains.
@DianaMarie23051 it went away. After I git the surgery they kept me for while had me eat and after I ate it was all hell broke loose!!!. I was in the WORST pain ever!!! No pain meds worked. Not even morphine. I was in that pain from late morning all the way into the next morning around 7. Then it died down. Good thing they caught it while I was at the hospital. They loaded me up with IV antibiotics for 3 days. By the 4th day there was no pain but the other days I could barely sit up it hurt. I had to get it down so I could remove my gallbladder.
@@namnoufal My mother has recovered from this. Thank God. And I pray your father will come out of it soon. Yes, tbh it's a risky procedure and he will need close monitoring. Please make sure he has enough energy and nutrition before surgery.
It's really great to see such a visualisation which clearly explains the treatment process in human body
Genuinely very well explained 🔥
Had this done 3 yrs. ago, bile duct cleaned of all sludge and pancreas checked. No issues🙏🏼

@@suziepeck5717 would you mind elaborating on that thought? Why not?
@DianaMarie23051 because I have talked to many people that are worse off afterwards and end up bedridden. Not worth it to me.
