- This is a great option for folks that like the look, but don't want to spend Tudor money, but they also don't want a Chinese brand clone.

The lug-to-lug distance, I think, is the most important measurement. It is really what determines if you can pull it off or not.
Yeah, and that's the one they don't give. I would imagine it's around 50mm, give or take. I need to get a set of calipers that are plastic and won't scratch anything...
Not only was that the most cunningly well hidden Casio 'Duro' review I've ever viewed but towards the end there, I was on the verge of shouting 'AMEN !' at the end of each statement made, and I'm an Atheist. Refreshing to find an honest take in a collector community that often "drinks it's own kool-Aid" on the "was more money so is more better" myth. You Sir, have a new fan.
Nice review. I like mine too!
A quick google tells me it is founded in Waterbury, Connecticut, U.S.A, so not a Japanese brand.. I was just intrigued when you mentioned that so I searched
Yeah, I totally spaced on that. I always thought they were Japanese for some reason, so I didn't even bother looking it up. Doh!
They haven't been American for a long time.
@@jaredstephenson6468 They Timex Group is still listed as based in CT... But who knows, many of their watches are probably made in China, where so many other things are...
@@jaredstephenson6468 no matter how you put it, the "origin" will always be is that it is an American brand as it is where it is founded.
Japanese 🤣
Yeah, I read that afterwards that it is a US-Dutch company. I was thinking in my head that Casio and Timex were both Japanese, but you are right.
