Nice chaos board. I normally only do end grain boards over 300 of them, but this is sharp. I LOVE the recess for the rubber feet. that is a game changer never thought of this. A+++++++++
Oh wow! That’s a lot of boards!!! 👏🏻 Thanks! I am happy with the feet and how the board looks as if it’s floating. Happy to help and inspire! Keep at it!!! 👍🏻👍🏻
This is a fresh and interesting twist. I have on hand Amarillo, African Paduk, Maple, Purple heart, Cherry and Walnut that I will mix and try this patern. Thank you for this video.
I just finished a cutting board with a checked end grain pattern. The one you have here is easy to make and looks outstanding. I wlll give it a try.. Thanks for the video.
@@CReevesMakes : I really appreciate these types of channels. It has saved me real dollars by not making mistakes I could have easily made. Really nice that people share their knowledge with others. Cheers and keep making.
Thank you very much! It was a fun challenge and I love how it turned out. Not my original idea as I saw some similar charcuterie boards but either way, it’s unique and exotic. Thanks for watching
Wow totally amazing I make cutting boards myself but nothing like this I'm going to give it a go it'd be nice with some of the Australian hardwoods we have here would like to see some other wacky designs you come up with keep up the good work
Great work - love the design and finish. How do you cut the angles? Are all of the cuts down the entire board? Is there a formula to determine the finished size vs starting dimensions?
Thanks! It’s all edge grain (face glued) so the movement should be in the vertical direction. I still have the board and it’s just as I had it when I finished it. Time will tell. Thanks for watching.
Really beautiful design. Better than anything store bought for sure. Very Creative. Which woods did you select? I seen zebra wood, maple, walnut and not sure on the other two. Blood wood? Paduka?
First time I see one if your videos. I am a subscriber now. What kind of price would a cutting board like this go for if I can ask. Thanks. Beautiful work loved the video
How were you determining the angle of cut in the cross-cut portion? Did you just pick an angle, then align the next cut by hand? Or was there some other piece in there you used for registration? Thanks!
I just picked an angle and cut a wedge out of scrap. Then stuck that wedge to my sled. That created the reference. I didn’t have any good footage of that and should have included that. Sorry
Really nice looking board. I haven’t seen edge grain chaos boards before.
Thanks! Yeah it’s a rabbit hole for sure!

Thanks
What do I think of the board? Well, I think it is one of the best original patterns I have seen. A real good quality masterpiece! Great job.
Thank you very much! It was a fun challenge and I love how it turned out. Not my original idea as I saw some similar charcuterie boards but either way, it’s unique and exotic. Thanks for watching
Very awesome! Thanks.

Amazing
Thank you very much Gerald!!
WOW Just WOW
Thank you very much!
Did you have to joint each piece (after the table saw cuts) in order to get a good glue-joint?
I did not. The secret is to not stop halfway through the cut on the table saw. Just smooth and consistent.
Great work - love the design and finish. How do you cut the angles? Are all of the cuts down the entire board? Is there a formula to determine the finished size vs starting dimensions?
Beautiful job! I wonder if there won't be a problem with wood movement since the grain is going in so many different directions.
Thanks! It’s all edge grain (face glued) so the movement should be in the vertical direction. I still have the board and it’s just as I had it when I finished it. Time will tell. Thanks for watching.
Parabéns ficou show 💯💯💯
Thank you for going past 220 grit, i like to hit 400 on the final pass just for sh!ts and giggles. very nice board
Yeah I take them pretty deep with high grit. Lots of water popping too. Thanks for watching!
Really beautiful design. Better than anything store bought for sure. Very Creative. Which woods did you select? I seen zebra wood, maple, walnut and not sure on the other two. Blood wood? Paduka?
Hey Jason! Thanks! Its walnut, maple, Padauk, and bloodwood. Thanks for watching

Darf ich es mal versuchen nachzubauen?
Love this board. What size boards did u start with and are all those cuts at 20°
How were you determining the angle of cut in the cross-cut portion? Did you just pick an angle, then align the next cut by hand? Or was there some other piece in there you used for registration? Thanks!
I just picked an angle and cut a wedge out of scrap. Then stuck that wedge to my sled. That created the reference. I didn’t have any good footage of that and should have included that. Sorry
