yeah james I got 1 more in me if the wind is right and the waters flat I will fly fish for some if not it will be light tackle thanks for sharing have a great holiday
Well at least the days are starting to get longer. Already packed up my gear, now it's time to start making some baits for next season. Look forward to seeing more videos
Thanks for all the great videos James. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. Look forward to seeing video of your annual Florida family vacation and fishing trip.
Thanks James for another Great Video, you work hard for your fish , Merry Christmas & Happy Healthy New, hope to run into you on some beach next season
Great videos this season! I use a NASCI 4000 on an 8’ rod. I did try it out on my 10’ for a previous trip. I was casting into the backing but it worked! It’s so much fun fighting those fish on light tackle. You can get the deeper spool that comes on the NASCI 5000 from Shimano for $60. It’s plug and play on the 4000.
Looking forward to the spring run here in CT! I'm hoping to get into a few winter holdovers on a tidal river in my area before they really turn on in March.
Enjoy your excitement. I just got back into surf fishing this year. Started watching your videos months ago to try to get back up to speed. You provided the information I needed. I live in Suffolk county and fish at least one of the beaches you do. One of your videos was from December of last year when you caught fish. I had some luck Thanksgiving weekend but wanted to keep heading out. Went out December 11 and picked up 2 small fish. A guy next to me picked up 2 around the same time I did. I had one other hit and hooked a fish briefly that seemed to be bigger than the ones I caught. I continued casting for another hour but that was all she wrote. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Good to see you drop in again! I've been doing good man. Keeping busy with the family and fishing of course lol. How's everything out in your neck of the woods?
nice video,I'm a local and fished forever but on my way to get into surf fishing,I have a st croix triumph 9' do you think this #4000 Shimano Nasci would be ok on my 9"er ,and how do you like it ,thanks...
The 4000 might feel a little on the smaller side on a 9ft rod but it'll still work. I've been really happy with my Nasic but it's not a sealed reel like my Spheros is. For surf fishing a sealed reel will help protect it from getting water in the gears when you're getting pounded by waves.
