I bought my Kitchen aide mixer 23 years ago and I have not once had any issues with it. It is US made though and maybe that's why...

The 3 other videos that I watched said to remove the caliper and rotor so that's what I was fixing to do until autoplay played your video and I heard it in the background. You saved me all that unnecessary work and I appreciate it. I think your video would get many more views if you added "without removing caliper and rotor" to your title.

Sir what you call a "gut hook" is a european belt hook,used in emergencies to cut yourself loose from a flipped car or other things 3:05 this is a diamond coated file,used to sharpen or shape hardened steel made out of diamond duist incrusted in nickel coating 8:00 if you want a tips , the sharpen side is in fact meant to be held at 45° while applying pressure on the hooked side,once you have a notch all you do is turn the can until it opens(for those interested the can opener has a "leatherman" style wire stripper,i know a lot of people prefer them over the rounded one)

Looks a lot like the Nextool. About the same price. I wish they would make a kit with an assortment of blades so you could build your own and ditch the file.

I've seen other people do reviews on this but they're all basically out of the box I would like to see a long-term review on them even though I've already bought one and have already got my own thoughts on it I think so far it's a good tool to have

I've got both and I can say 100% Gordon knocked it out of the park. If they made replaceable cutters, it'd really put a dent in any Leatherman justification.

The reason why the meat that you grind is semi frozen is it results in a better mince and no juices from the meat can seep back into the mixer head.

I never had to freeze any meat (cold, but not frozen) and everything came out fine. Also used whatever was ground right after grinding.

NOW you tell me....I burned mine up yesterday. I obviously made several mistakes. Meat not partially frozen, etc. Live and learn. Went and bought an actual meat grinder. I think the mixer will still limp along for mixing; we'll see.

It's meat juice (myoglobin) not blood. The blood has been removed during the slaughter process.

Horrible!!!! What a horrible story. If you put you meat in the freezer first for about half an hour or so, there won't be any blood and the grinding of your meat works better.

just put an "O" ring on the grinder shaft and the blood will not get back in there note put some food grade lube like mineral oil on the o ring

I use my Kitchen Aid mixer for making cookies, and cakes. The grinder attachment I have is for shredding documents that have personal bank and investment data. Never meat.
