As an explosives main I have to say that the risk of self deletion goes way down when you actually get good with the class.
Aiming is less about hitting the target and more about not hitting yourself. Its an art.
Man, out of my like 50 playthroughs of Vegas. I’ve only done one explosive build (and it wasn’t even that good lol, it was an explosives/unarmed build) and it was the most fun shit I’ve ever done. After seeing this vid I’m definitely going to start another one! Great video as always

You forgot to mention the Grenade launcher works with the Grunt Perk
Mad bomber is a good perk you can make your own explosives!

Repairs never have to cost anything once you save Raul and talk to him in his shack repair everything then just pickpocket your money back

Ron, would you say doung a build around the fire grenades with pyromaniac would be viable?
You could probably do that, but you might have trouble with ammo. If you count the Incendiary ammo for grenade launcher then it would be doable.
So why is the merc grenade launcher and the weathered 10mm the only unique weapons you can mod?
I imagine it was the way they were added to the game.

Crit damage adds on top of regular damage. If it's 20 base and 20 crit, then it will be 40 crit damage on critical hit.
Crit multiplier multiplies your base crit chance. If you've got 10% chance due to 10 Luck, then with Abilene Kid BB gun 1.5 * 10 = 15%.
Crit chance is just your chance to critically hit things. Every point of Luck is 1% to critical hit chance and there are perks adding critical chance too, like Light Touch (5%), Finesse (5%), Laser Commander (10% for laser guns), Ninja (*1.15 critical chance for melee and unarmed) and trait Built to Destroy (3%). There are some hats and armors with bonus critical chance too.
Should you go for a really high luck on explosive builds? I always went middle of the road and didn’t know if it changes things significantly.
Luck doesn't really help explosive weapons because most of them can't crit or do very low crit damage. So things like AGI, STR, or END would be better to put your points in.
For explosivos i go for 1 luck 1 charisma and buff everyother special, if you need money for weapons or ammo clear the lonesome road and grab every gun and armor from marked men

how do you play new vegas twithought it crashing as soon as you launch the game????
You may need to mod it with some of the unofficial patches to get it to work, that is what I had to do to get fallout 3 to work. You can get these off of Nexus. This is quite a few guides on youtube that can help you based on your operating system.
What system are you playing on?
If you have no mods installed then it shoildnt crash.
check your luck stat
