If it's not about money, why does the documentary dance around the fact that they have been suing his estate for millions?

I think some people as per the comments below are being completely naive in regard to abuse and the power of the Hollywood star machine back in the day and 'how the ranch was raided and 'nothing was found'. As one of the guys said in the documentary, ' we don't have megastars like that anymore' and we don't. A lot of people had a lot to loose including some very powerful figures in the entertainment business at the time. Covet ups do happen and we saw this in the UK repeatedly with various very big TV stars of the day back in the pre millennium period and how even the instructions at the time aided and abetted with the star machine. Given the comments aimed at Josh as an example, whilst the documentary was one sided I don't believe these two guys would have come forward to make 'stuff up', given the hate fuelled rhetoric seem here against Josh which will be far worse for them. You are ignoring the fact that the documentary is based on two people who defended MJ in that trial and are now saying yes in fact he did abuse them. So don’t pretend like it’s case closed when it clearly isn’t.

I have four daughters , I haven’t watched no intention of watching either , the man isn’t here to defend himself there is very little context here at all they had the opportunity to tell their story or at least one of them in court said testimony could have changed the entire case , instead I think its wade testified on Jackson’s behalf. I believed him then I had no reason not to , he changes his story and I’m supposed to believe you after you admitted that you lied ? Not saying that Jackson was/is innocent I’m. A father and the boys parents must have been aware at least on some level of the accusations surrounding Jackson and the still allowed their children around him , I would never have let that happen , and I certainly wouldn’t have left my child alone with him , I just wouldn’t have felt comfortable. I already knew Macuga and Roxy weren't too bright but they took it to a whole new level talking about this documentary. I expected better from Reilly and lost a lot of respect for him too. I won't even watch Collider Live anymore if Roxy and Macuga are on. The same reason why people don’t want to watch this is the same reason why it is so hard for these victims to address their problem. I believe the story. How their families were torn apart and the consistent allegations by several boys throughout Michael's years are too much that can be disregarded. Although, I think it was an incredibly stupid mistake for Wade to have filed that lawsuit for millions of dollars. It is natural for many people to respond to that thinking this whole story is fabricated and financially motivated. And even though they supposedly are not profiting from this documentary, it can be viewed as some type of damage control after their lawsuit was dismissed. As to Culkin's and Feldman's testimonies, those are totally irrelevant. Just because no abuse happened with them does mean it could not have happened to any of the hundreds of boys that were very close to Michael.

These men’s allegations seem to have been proven false. But no one should be sending death threats to these men. It will only make actual abuse victims not want to open up.
If they were molested and violated, they would never want to be near him again. But they both kept coming around him. Even if the were scared to say something, they wouldn't want to be around him. Wade hung around for him for years, even spoke at his funeral.

What I find funny is that a lot the questions people are bringing up are ACTUALLY in the documentary. The raiding of the ranch. It's there. The boy defending Michael in 2003. There. The same guy writing a tribute to Michael after his death. There. I watched this documentary. While it only interviews one side, it definitely brings up things consistently from the other side. The doc makes a very compelling argument though. That's all there is to it. Keep speaking your mind, crew. Love the show.

I am not a Michael Jackson fan - I actually got more interested in the man in the past few weeks than I've been my whole life - but I agree with those who say that "Leaving Neverland" is completely pointless and possibly even malign. Not only it's utterly one-sided (with the director himself stating "What's the point of interviewing someone who says that Micheal Jackson was a good person?" - yeah, he really said that), but it doesn't have any fact or evidence to back up its claims. Just because someone says something happened doesn't make it true and that's all there is in the 4+ hour film: people saying stuff. The only "evidence" is the ring Jackson allegedly gave Safechuck, which bears no inscriptions, has not been examined by anybody, could've been bought anywhere and, if you look carefully, the guy's fingers are too small to actually fit it NOW at 40. On the other hand, we have two accusers who tried to get more than a billion dollars from the Jackson's estate in 2016, only to have the judge throw the case out of court (it's all true - you can fact check it as much as you want). That's fishy, to say the least.

The mother told him that he had to defend Michael because he would not survive in jail. So that's why he did it the second time. So, this is where "Leaving Neverland" comes into play, their betting, hoping that it will open up an investigation like what "Living With Michael Jackson" special did 16 years ago but they may have a HUGE problem. The FACT that the FBI (surprised raids, tapped his phones, computers, had surveillance on him, etc) for over a decade, CLEARED Michael Jackson's name after his death! The child-porn, the secret rooms (if you call a TARDIS a room) were ALL proven false in the court of law back in 2005 (where he was found not guilty on all 14 accounts), in which the FBI was a part of. Yes, Mr. Jackson had legions of young people visit Neverland Ranch, hosting Make-A-Wish Foundations events for sick, dying children enjoying his theme park without a care in the world and without judgment of the public eye. The fact that there were only 5 accusers out of the hundreds of kids that have been with Michael Jackson at the ranch and ALL were proven to have financial motives. 1) Jordan Chandler (first allegation in 1992), his dad was caught on tape confessing he framed Mr. Jackson and got his $23 million in 1994 settlement. 2) Jason Francia's (second allegation ) mother (who was fired maid in 1991) accused Mr. Jackson also during Chandler's allegation, she got her piece of the pie from that 1994 settlement. Worth noting Ms. Francia has been in and out of jail for extortion. Then we have 3) Gavin Arvizo, who lied about having cancer and was seen in that "Living With Michael Jackson' special that led to the two year 'Trial of Michael Jackson' to which Mr. Jackson was found not guilty on all 14 accounts, thanks to the FBI. A trial that 4) Wade Robson defended Mr. Jackson. It wasn't until 2015 that 5) James Safechuck made public about his allegation when he joined Wade to sue the estate for a billion dollars and now we're up to date with Leaving Neverland. It's worth noting on Twitter, Mr. Jackson's former security guards have mentioned that Wade & James were more like "groupies," they were following Michael every chance they could and their parents were just as bad to the point of harassing Michael Jackson to pick their kid. If it's not about money, why does the documentary dance around the fact that they have been suing his estate for millions?
If you feel you have to watch Leaving Neverland then you have to watch the Bryan Singer doc "An open secret". Don't cherry pick who you want to cancel.

I think some people as per the comments below are being completely naive in regard to abuse and the power of the Hollywood star machine back in the day and 'how the ranch was raided and 'nothing was found'.
As one of the guys said in the documentary, ' we don't have megastars like that anymore' and we don't. A lot of people had a lot to loose including some very powerful figures in the entertainment business at the time. Covet ups do happen and we saw this in the UK repeatedly with various very big TV stars of the day back in the pre millennium period and how even the instructions at the time aided and abetted with the star machine.

He had an extremely unusual upbringing and as I said many times in conversation about him, I cannot remember a time even when I was a little kid, that he was not famous. He was always there.

I already knew Macuga and Roxy weren't too bright but they took it to a whole new level talking about this documentary. I expected better from Reilly and lost a lot of respect for him too. I won't even watch Collider Live anymore if Roxy and Macuga are on. The same reason why people don’t want to watch this is the same reason why it is so hard for these victims to address their problem. I believe the story. How their families were torn apart and the consistent allegations by several boys throughout Michael's years are too much that can be disregarded. Although, I think it was an incredibly stupid mistake for Wade to have filed that lawsuit for millions of dollars. It is natural for many people to respond to that thinking this whole story is fabricated and financially motivated. And even though they supposedly are not profiting from this documentary, it can be viewed as some type of damage control after their lawsuit was dismissed.
As to Culkin's and Feldman's testimonies, those are totally irrelevant. Just because no abuse happened with them does mean it could not have happened to any of the hundreds of boys that were very close to Michael.
Those boys also came put after his death ans said they lied in fact 2 of the fathers unalived themselves and the families that accused him only went for a civil case not a criminal case 😑 🙄 they wanted money not justice

These men’s allegations seem to have been proven false. But no one should be sending death threats to these men. It will only make actual abuse victims not want to open up.
If they were molested and violated, they would never want to be near him again. But they both kept coming around him. Even if the were scared to say something, they wouldn't want to be around him. Wade hung around for him for years, even spoke at his funeral.

I am not a Michael Jackson fan - I actually got more interested in the man in the past few weeks than I've been my whole life - but I agree with those who say that "Leaving Neverland" is completely pointless and possibly even malign. Not only it's utterly one-sided (with the director himself stating "What's the point of interviewing someone who says that Micheal Jackson was a good person?" - yeah, he really said that), but it doesn't have any fact or evidence to back up its claims. Just because someone says something happened doesn't make it true and that's all there is in the 4+ hour film: people saying stuff. The only "evidence" is the ring Jackson allegedly gave Safechuck, which bears no inscriptions, has not been examined by anybody, could've been bought anywhere and, if you look carefully, the guy's fingers are too small to actually fit it NOW at 40. On the other hand, we have two accusers who tried to get more than a billion dollars from the Jackson's estate in 2016, only to have the judge throw the case out of court (it's all true - you can fact check it as much as you want). That's fishy, to say the least.

Wade & James are problematic, the fact that they lied under oath doesn't help and their stories are constantly changing but Wade is the key player here because back in 2012, he wanted to be 'Creative Director' for Cirque du Soleil's 'Michael Jackson ONE' show when it was in pre-production stages (his letters are online, basically begging) at the time he was broke, he didn't get it. The following year he makes the allegation that Mr. Jackson abused him and sues the estate for a billion dollars, didn't happen. Then in 2015, he brought in James. They tried to sue again but was dismissed because they missed the 12-month statutory deadline after Jackson’s death and both are now under appeal. So, this is where "Leaving Neverland" comes into play, their betting, hoping that it will open up an investigation like what "Living With Michael Jackson" special did 16 years ago but they may have a HUGE problem. The FACT that the FBI (surprised raids, tapped his phones, computers, had surveillance on him, etc) for over a decade, CLEARED Michael Jackson's name after his death! The child-porn, the secret rooms (if you call a TARDIS a room) were ALL proven false in the court of law back in 2005 (where he was found not guilty on all 14 accounts), in which the FBI was a part of. Yes, Mr. Jackson had legions of young people visit Neverland Ranch, hosting Make-A-Wish Foundations events for sick, dying children enjoying his theme park without a care in the world and without judgment of the public eye.
The fact that there were only 5 accusers out of the hundreds of kids that have been with Michael Jackson at the ranch and ALL were proven to have financial motives. 1) Jordan Chandler (first allegation in 1992), his dad was caught on tape confessing he framed Mr. Jackson and got his $23 million in 1994 settlement. 2) Jason Francia's (second allegation ) mother (who was fired maid in 1991) accused Mr. Jackson also during Chandler's allegation, she got her piece of the pie from that 1994 settlement. Worth noting Ms. Francia has been in and out of jail for extortion. Then we have 3) Gavin Arvizo, who lied about having cancer and was seen in that "Living With Michael Jackson' special that led to the two year 'Trial of Michael Jackson' to which Mr. Jackson was found not guilty on all 14 accounts, thanks to the FBI. A trial that 4) Wade Robson defended Mr. Jackson. It wasn't until 2015 that 5) James Safechuck made public about his allegation when he joined Wade to sue the estate for a billion dollars and now we're up to date with Leaving Neverland. It's worth noting on Twitter, Mr. Jackson's former security guards have mentioned that Wade & James were more like "groupies," they were following Michael every chance they could and their parents were just as bad to the point of harassing Michael Jackson to pick their kid.

I also sense that the music industry still seems to be bitter about Mr. Jackson because (at one time) he owned 50% of SONY Music. Had the rights to not only his own music but The Beatles and Eminem's catalog. He wasn't going to give them up as long as he lived! Michael Jackson always believed "they" were out to get him. Soon as he was died (murdered) Sony Music bought all his music for nearly a billion dollars from the Michael Jackson Estate. A coincidence?

I respect your opinion but I don't agree. The documentary is very one-sided and omitted A LOT of facts. I also made a video reviewing Leaving Neverland but I included some more research to give insight if anyone wants to check it out!
