My best neck knives which I usually just carry in my cargo pocket are the mora eldris and the Esee Becker Escobar in D2 steel...many think the expensive steels are better but D2 is the very best for me. It gets super sharp and holds an edge long. Love it.
Great overview on these knives, we definitely have the same taste. I ordered the Elk Ridge knife last night from AliExpress (China) for less than $9 shipped. I also just got an email from Brian saying that my CF Companion was being shipped to me in the next couple of days...really looking forward to that one! I acquired a Bradford Guardian 3 recently too, very nice small fixed blade as well! I'm definitely a small EDC fixed blade kick here lately.
+MarylandRefugee Will the Guardian 3 be on part 3? I'm new to you're channel -loving it- have you done any care/maintenance or sharpening instructional so? Also always love seeing in field use like wood processing with the mini bush lore or the TOPS MSK to demo how capable they really are...? Ideas for thought 👍🏼
Right. Makes sense geographically if you think about it. Locally sourced steel is one reason they can keep the knives so cheap. From what I understand, the particular stainless that they use is 12c27, with the Garberg stainless as the exception with 14c28n. The carbon steel is also a locally sourced equivalent to your 1095. Great knives.
Thank you for showing your handsize and the knives size in relation to your hand. Very useful since the handle fit is such a crucial part of a good knife. Really like the Evans Knife and Tool Co knife. Going to try to track one down. Looks like the price has gone up significantly, they look killer though.
I ordered a CRKT mini bowie ..hope it arrives before Christmas. I love neck knives. , I have 2 Mtechs and a pair of no-name steel finger claw knife. All are handy for several tasks tht come up
the bead on the lanyard to the cold steel is meant to catch on your belt if you wanted to slide it into your belt so you can take it on and off. the bead catchds and the knife comes out, all you do is pull.
The Hidden Canyon doesn’t come with a g10 handle. At least not currently. It’s called Richlite. And it tends not to absorb moisture like blood and/or water. That’s why they class it as a skinner and the same reason for the shorter, chubbier blade profile as well. You’re welcome
Just my personal opinion - I would have loved if the full lineup of knives that are displayed at the end were kept in the background of the video as you handle them, as it really serves as a visual aid to compare the size and shape of the knives.. something that's hard to come by when websites can only list specs.
Their carbon steel is basically the equivalent of our 1095 high carbon steel. The stainless is 12C27 or sometimes 14C28N. Pick one. You can't go wrong!
Great video! I think Mora uses either a high carbon steel or a Sanvik stainless. I don't think it's like 440C or 8cr, or whatever. I've watched a thousand videos on Moras. Some blades you can mod & patina (high carbon) & others are stainless steel.
for the minimalist there are four blade shapes and two handle materials one is black and feels like g10 the other has a fiber like material also u can get a drop point with black wash g10 material cheaper than any other 4 blade styles I carry a fiber bowie.
Not A Big Fan of Neck Knives , But seen a few here that I Would Definitely Buy.. Wish app Store has a great Selection of Neck Knives. Only thing takes a Moth to be Delivered Since they Come From China bought the Sog Neck Knife For 13 bucks . Thanks For Your reviews I'm Subscribing To Your Channel.
B Epps carried one for a hot minute love it its actually the only knife I’ve been carrying most edc tasks it handles just fine including opening a beer
Say Heah, Yeah, One of My Fav. Go ToTrio Carry is my Rident 6 which I had modified by having the blade thin down from a .265" thick to just shy of a 1/4". I usually add my 17" Agdor Hatchet that I got it every bit as sharp as my Small Forest Axe. and my Wicked Tough Saw, I also use my Mora 510 as a neck knife. I like this Trio because it allows me to move fast through the brush, and If I use my Johnson Adventure Parangatang, a funny name but a serious summer long knife. But I did put black handle on it and same with my Potbelly. I think the black handles L@@K alot better. Anyhow, now with the warned weather and in milder weather, I go a little lighter. I just put together 3V GNS with my 2Hawks Warbeast Tomahawk. with a folding saw. Infact I went out today with this set, But I took my Haversack and it already had my Bacho Laplander in the zipped up flapover. But with the brambles growing, I'm going to start using my Wilderness Pal Premium with the leather stack d-ring handle. But I just ordered my 2nd Limited Edition which is the BK-29 Moses Bowie, I did get another BK-5 which now makes my third, Yeah, I had the BK-4 and the BK-5 when I bought my 1St. Limited Edition that came with the BK-20 Bundok and the BK-4 and BK-5 making it (3) now. But this L.E. also came with the Snody SnakeCharmer. I think you would like it. I have a little larger hand than yours, So for me its a little bit small, But I'm still just using it as my neck knife for my new Trio. The Sheath is very Stealth under a T-shirts and prolly a good defensive E.D.C. The Mises Bowie was worth the price. It's a Monster Bad'Boy. a True Bowie L@@King knife, Its 10.625" blade and a 1/4" thick. But the way they made the spine which is scalloped and rounded. It doesn't L@@K that thick. There is a spot to strike a ferro rod though. I use a striker anyway. I carry it around my neck and it has a whistle made in the handle of the striker. I also have a bolster for the 6" ferro rod. Kewl BeanZ Eah, Yeah, anyhow, I think you would really like the Snody SnakeCharmer.,,.
Are You Psychic as You answer My questions before I could ask them ! Really good Site so keep up the Great work Buddy and Hi from London , United Kingdom .
I like it a lot, very cool blade shape. It's very similar to the street beat overall. Really comes down to what shape/length you want in a small fixed blade. Leaf shape or Bowie, either way you won't go wrong with both those knives.
I would love to know more about the 2nd knife where I could purchase one very nice little knife I can have it stitched into 1 of my boots that I wear all the time it's always good to have a backup thank you if you could let me know I would appreciate it thank you again
Could you make a vid pretty similar like this one but with smaller knives like the spiderco ark and i also would like to see some more 2 finger knives if its okay
Which one you'd prefer? Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter G10 or White River Knives Backpacker? I'm wondering which one I should buy. Definitely a price difference, but that doesn't matter. Is the size quite the same?
I am still waiting for someone to get back in touch with me and let me know where I can purchase a couple of these knife please comment back thank you very much
Got those burnley blades. U really don't like the akari?? If u like the obake that much there's two other full size versions both red ray skin one etched blade other satin have them both and the black ray skin
Still no mention Elmax supersteel. I notice you always leave out the bradford g necker in elmax which is a premium quality tool steel and yet you haven't mentioned it once in any of your video's. Is that because Bradford didn't give you any money or free knives or are you just not aware of it???
The sheath is designed as a belt carry(or scout) and for it being leather whenever you draw it from the sheath the knife cuts the leather retention strap. On top of that, the diamond wood model I got came with the most obvious and awful grind of all time...sooo uneven. That's not uncommon with knives, but it left a sour taste with how awesome the G10 model is. And finally, the handle scales. This knife was made to be used while hunting. I don't like the idea of wood scales over G10 because no matter how well the wood is treated, G10 holds up better to abuse. So, all things being equal and price being the same I'd take the G10 all day..
50 state legal conceal carry Fixed blades. In mo 3.5 inch blade max length can be concealed. But lets say CA. us 2inch then 2 inch would he the longest blade..
+Tanner Morris I like the idea of the knife, I remember when the were talking about a release date(Feb 2014 I think), and I waited, and waited. Didn't finally put hands on one till the following year. Kinda annoyed me to be honest. At the price id rather just have an izula 2. Still a cool line of knives though :).
Well it depends on what steel was it made from at da gun show or shot show it couod be a sprint run modle at 30$ but the one you have im still looking for it at 10 im sure one day it wont be so popular toe one person any more and can be had at 10$
Brother, it's one of the best in those categories!! I love that knife. Probably my favorite mora, def. my most used mora hands down. Go pick one up and be happy :)
MarylandRefugee Awesome, I got one for myself and my girlfriend a while back, and we both like them a lot too. It's interesting to see someone from MD talking about it. People with knowledge on MD state laws are hard to find.
Check out both videos I did on neck knives. 90% of them you'll like. I'm a stickler for comfort while using and almost all of them are a dream you use and carry.
+R.A.S. Tactical Try out the CRKT Minimalist with Wharncliff blade shown in the video. It's 5Cr15MoV. Very comfortable to carry, the lanyard extension works absolutely fantastic for every EDC task. The best one in this collection by far! btw. I wear this CRKT night and day, and even don't feel it's on me, except i had immediately to use it, and that happens often in a day :-)
Concealed. Jerry Miculek has said it before and he's right on the money, IMO. There is no holster in the world that will keep someone from eventually taking your gun off you if they really want it. Better for them to never know you have it.
+MarylandRefugee I've been going back and forth because of the ambiguous MD laws but I'm feeling canceled us best as long as your not in to any funny business.. I'm in MO Co.
+Bill Fowler tread lightly brother. If you don't have a concealed carry permit, getting caught will land you with a felony(not allowed to buy guns). :/
I think you are the only reviewer who correctly show his handsize to compare for the viewer.
Good job thx for this.
Darofla helped me on getting the benchmade
Thanks for showing your hand size
I love neck knives. Never a day without one.
My best neck knives which I usually just carry in my cargo pocket are the mora eldris and the Esee Becker Escobar in D2 steel...many think the expensive steels are better but D2 is the very best for me. It gets super sharp and holds an edge long. Love it.
Gotta love Mora. Really, all the knife you ever need.
Great to see fellow knife lover's enthusiasm.
Thanks brother
Excelente colección. Saludos desde España 🇪🇸✨

+DryFlyFisher76 gotta wait and see in the next video brother ;). Thanks for the support
How do you like the companion ? I just picked one up today
The moras use a sandvick stainless steel. Awsome video!
Right. Makes sense geographically if you think about it. Locally sourced steel is one reason they can keep the knives so cheap. From what I understand, the particular stainless that they use is 12c27, with the Garberg stainless as the exception with 14c28n. The carbon steel is also a locally sourced equivalent to your 1095. they do have the cold steel mini in 3v now. Did he say squirrel hunting?
Be grateful that you can pick up the CRKT Minimalist for a reasonable price. In the U.K. the cheapest I have seen it is the equivalent of $53!
I’m extremely happy with my KABAR 1117 neck knife .
I love to see cold steel I wish I had a collection
Love the Gravelle knife, looks awesome! 👍
Thank you for showing your handsize and the knives size in relation to your hand. Very useful since the handle fit is such a crucial part of a good knife.

+pinoywheelgunner that's awesome, good start to a collection.
Good review. I got my second Obake from WalMart for $12 without a sheath. I called CRKT & they sent me a sheath assy for free!!!
Good to see your videos again. Simple & great job! Entertaining talk too! Peace brother.
Thanks man
I’d definitely say the lanyard on the minimalist makes it a four finger grip on most people, including myself
the bead on the lanyard to the cold steel is meant to catch on your belt if you wanted to slide it into your belt so you can take it on and off. the bead catchds and the knife comes out, all you do is pull.
The Hidden Canyon doesn’t come with a g10 handle. At least not currently. It’s called Richlite. And it tends not to absorb moisture like blood and/or water. That’s why they class it as a skinner and the same reason for the shorter, chubbier blade profile as well. You’re welcome
oh! my gosh! I love that spyderco!
carried the street beat, it is excellent.
There's a certain way to carry the obaki with the lanyard at waist area, look up the crkt videos, I used to carry it appendix and it tucks away deep.
saw the crkt at the flea market for 18.00....great buy
+stephan miles yup, love that thing!
pretty old video, I know, but now days you would also add Uzula / Izula II and M1 Backpacker Pro to the list
Plus the 4th one is very nice if you can get me the information for those 2 Knives I would appreciate it thank you I like a little knife for a backup
Nice. Everyone should have a few Mora's.
Great collection!! Congrats!! Ty for share with us
+Donato Mancini thanks for watching :).
Great video can't wait to see the 3 video
Won't be much longer :).
+MarylandRefugee awesome!!!
My current favorite knife is my neck knife. TOPS MSK baby.
Yup, that among many others will be in the "part 3" video :).
I love this spyderco!
Enzo necker and Muela peccary deserve a mention.
Just my personal opinion -
I would have loved if the full lineup of knives that are displayed at the end were kept in the background of the video as you handle them, as it really serves as a visual aid to compare the size and shape of the knives.. something that's hard to come by when websites can only list specs.
that street beat is the only spyderco that I've seen that isn't grotesque. I might get that, doubt it will "beat" my ESSE izula but it's nice
Some blades you can mod & patina (high carbon) & others are stainless steel.
that gravelle huk is awesome
Great video, edc update would be cool. Maybe a video on what you're passionate about or even a q&a.
Good call, I'm overdue for an edc update.
love the ubaki another great crkt knife is the crkt ignitor great folder i really recommend this knife
for the minimalist there are four blade shapes and two handle materials one is black and feels like g10 the other has a fiber like material also u can get a drop point with black wash g10 material cheaper than any other 4 blade styles I carry a fiber bowie.

Nice reviews buddy. Glad you got out of Maryland (presumably by your name). Just subbed.
Steel that they use in carbon Moras is C100, it's like 1095. BTW great knives.
+SzymoniX005 thank you, solid info :).
12c27 Sandvik in the stainless models. The garberg used 14c28n sandvik stainless, not sure about the Carbon model.
Outdoor edge wedge 2 was a great cheap neck knife.
Mora's stainless is 12C27N Swedish sandvic steel, their carbon is equivalent to 1095 not sure what they call it but its good steel.
I think Mora uses the same steel that Kershaw uses but I am not sure. The Swedish make good watches and knives that is for sure.
Do something on the Ka-Bar TDI knives.
B Epps carried one for a hot minute love it its actually the only knife I’ve been carrying most edc tasks it handles just fine including opening a beer

What do you think of the Spyderco ENUFF?
I like it a lot, very cool blade shape. It's very similar to the street beat overall. Really comes down to what shape/length you want in a small fixed blade. Leaf shape or Bowie, either way you won't go wrong with both those knives.

You should do a collection vid
Great video!!!
Can you tell me more about where I could purchase one of these thank you very much
Have you tried blade hq, knife center, knives plus?
You should do a review on the reel steel neck knife
Could you make a vid pretty similar like this one but with smaller knives like the spiderco ark and i also would like to see some more 2 finger knives if its okay
+Alexandre S I will attempt it. I have to be honest though. I've had the spyderco ark and DID NOT like it at all :/.
MarylandRefugee thanks so much
I was wondering why don't you have scales on your eskabar I do and I like them
I love the knife, I'm just partial to the paracord wrap. I love how it feels :).
thank you for Show your great knives, great collection thanks dirk
Your welcome :)
kabar d'eskabar, really like it. I have the bk14 as well, the D2 steel is way better
very happy with the blade.
I believe some are abit large and thick handled to be kneck knives. Weight must be considered as well nice collection and though.
I'm you're 10,000 sub awesome great videos...
I would like to see a Esee 6 hard use
Sure thing, that's one of my go-to bush knives...just haven't put it on camera for some reason. I definitely will here in the spring.
Which one you'd prefer? Benchmade Hidden Canyon Hunter G10 or White River Knives Backpacker? I'm wondering which one I should buy. Definitely a price difference, but that doesn't matter. Is the size quite the same?
+Maurits.G white river hands down! That is one of the best EDC knives I've ever had!!
Check out the crkt spew
Fun vid! Please review more knives with deep finger choils like the Street Beat. Love them too.
Bonjour
So which one is the best ?
do you know of other carrying options for the crkt achi other than neck or belt clip?
Thanks on the knife's maybe price or custom
Are the holes on the Spyderco Ark's sheath sized right for a G-Clip?
I'm not sure. To be honest I probably won't keep it... It's unique for sure, but I can't see a use for me personally.
You have really narrow hands, I noticed. I wonder what else you use them for? Thanks for the review.
His butt hole
Do a review on kukris.
I am still waiting for someone to get back in touch with me and let me know where I can purchase a couple of these knife please comment back thank you very much
Hey mate, have a look on bladehq or knifecenter for a start
Good Job
Got those burnley blades. U really don't like the akari?? If u like the obake that much there's two other full size versions both red ray skin one etched blade other satin have them both and the black ray skin
Still no mention Elmax supersteel. I notice you always leave out the bradford g necker in elmax which is a premium quality tool steel and yet you haven't mentioned it once in any of your video's. Is that because Bradford didn't give you any money or free knives or are you just not aware of it???
Review of gerber decree looks like a good knife s30v steel for a very good msrp 50-129 € please a review
Good vid.
Hi nice review! Is the street beat full tang? The handle looks bigger than older street beat
+Aldo Krav Maga It's not full tang, the one with micarta scales is. All Fred Perrin designs are awesome for EDC fixed blades and neck knives.
Thank You!
Aldo Krav Maga Glad to help.
Out of curiosity why do you think the dymondwood hidden canyon hunter is terrible?
Interesting. I really like the look of the sheath on that model but I might reconsider. Thanks for the reply!
50 state legal conceal carry Fixed blades. In mo 3.5 inch blade max length can be concealed. But lets say CA. us 2inch then 2 inch would he the longest blade..
You should try out the esse-camp lore rb3 pretty sweet knife its my woods companion
Well it depends on what steel was it made from at da gun show or shot show it couod be a sprint run modle at 30$ but the one you have im still looking for it at 10 im sure one day it wont be so popular toe one person any more and can be had at 10$
I think stainless for mora is sandvick
Do the review on tops knives
So is the Mora Craftline Q good for outdoors or simple tasks or nah.
Brother, it's one of the best in those categories!! I love that knife. Probably my favorite mora, def. my most used mora hands down. Go pick one up and be happy :)
Ight I will soon ,Thanx.
Where did you find the benchmade for $80?
I'm having a problem finding a small neck knife with the kydex stealth that snaps in and won't fall out ..
Cold-steel "MiniPal" had it for twenty yrs never fell out(and I've put it to use several times)just sayin..
glen Connolly thanks for the info
What are your thoughts on the SOG Instinct?
For the price I like it a lot. It'll probably be in the part 3 video :).
MarylandRefugee Awesome, I got one for myself and my girlfriend a while back, and we both like them a lot too. It's interesting to see someone from MD talking about it. People with knowledge on MD state laws are hard to find.
nice collection I just can't find myself to like kneck knifes all the ones I have had are very uncomfortable
The best one in this collection by far! btw. I wear this CRKT night and day, and even don't feel it's on me, except i had immediately to use it, and that happens often in a day :-)
Pt3?
Can you make a video *steel*
I'm CLUELESS about the numbers
I got my obake for free
nice video
Thanks man
Th obaké can tip cu threw those bubble plastic packets and can blade slice threw tape im happy with it
Hey bro where in maryland are you im in baltimore county
Frederick area
Edgeworks is my church!
I've wanted this "obake" but they want like $60 bucks for it now. It's like u said a $20 knife..
Do you carry open or canceled?
Concealed. Jerry Miculek has said it before and he's right on the money, IMO. There is no holster in the world that will keep someone from eventually taking your gun off you if they really want it. Better for them to never know you have it.
+MarylandRefugee
I've been going back and forth because of the ambiguous MD laws but I'm feeling canceled us best as long as your not in to any funny business.. I'm in MO Co.
+Bill Fowler tread lightly brother. If you don't have a concealed carry permit, getting caught will land you with a felony(not allowed to buy guns). :/
