Great video thanks for sharing! I liked the mil -spie 3 looks like a good little fixed blade.
Awesome. Yeah, in my experience probably a good 70% of the audience out there prefers folders, because that is what they are able to carry easily every day. But fixed blades are cool too, so here they are :]
The sub-tip on a tanto acts like a giant single serration, so cutting with it is kind of like ripping with a tip. Whereas the drop point has a curving belly so it cuts more like slicing rather than the tanto sub-tip which cuts kind of like a boxcutter.
Great video, just what I needed, I see three that are top choices for me. looking for an edc, didnt want to go with a folding knife, but didnt know where to start in terms of fixed blades that arent huge. thanks again
nice review mate thanks for sharing
Great review, thanks.
I like the Blackjack and the Benchmade
The dpx hest was made to be a tactical/survival knife. Hostile environment survival tool. Great vid.
I really like the size of these knives for an EDC belt knives. Great review, thanks for posting.
Nice review. Might have to check out that mil-spie
Thanks John
I got the budget survivor knife strictly for the fire starter. Mine is the tan-to version and that sucker came RAZOR SHARP out of the box. I had to rewrap the handle, but I am really happy with it. The sheath was nicer than the reviews gave it as well.
I love these vids man! That anza looks quite interesting by the way!
Another great video, Thanks.
Thanks for watching!
That Gerber is beautiful.
Enjoyable and informative as always :)
Good vid!!!
Great vid man!
Nicely done!
Thank you.
Thank you sir! I'm looking for one now for my belt EDC!
Great collection mate.
Another great vid man! I totally dig that blackjack!
I sent you one you've never seen before ;) Another great video Bro!
Yeah, they deserve more publicity!
Thanks man. I figured I'd save the TOPS Scalpel for a different video maybe one with small tac knives or kiridashi-like knives. It would be very useful for EDC and outdoors too, though.
Thanks, man!
Ya, I got mine recently and it simply is the sweetest knife I own. It fits my hand so incredibly well. Thought the huge choil would be an issue but was I wrong. Its choil compensates for the lack of any blade drop angle. Only 2 issues are the price and not wanting to scratch the blade.
very nice really liked them all....
Thanks!
Thanks, Tac. I know you have the bushcraft skills, so your word carries weight, brotha!
I had not seen that knife before, but sounds like you got a great deal!
Nice list.
My EDC fixed blade is four inches and I love it.
I have an Old Timer knife the size of those with a leather sheath and keep it in my backpack as a backup when camping and to be used for food preparation since I have a Schrade model 26 which I carry on my belt to do most of the work a knife is used for.
Thanks bro :]
It's a pretty nice knife!
Cool, I've never seen one of those.
Hey, thanks!
Thanks, Spike
Out of all of these, I like the DPX HEST the most. Mainly because it has the little prybar on the end.
Totally loved this video, Israel my friend. God bless. John
Im w you Israel...Blacjack no doubt! Great vid as usual...thx
Nice vid dude.
Yes it has a claw thing pommel that could be used as a cap lifter.
Thanks :]
Winchester makes a sharp finger as well very high quality and comes sharp out the box
yeah the HEST is pretty sweet
Congratulations on the collection of knives. Ulisses do Brasil
Very welcome
love that anzo
Excellent video. My knife collection is all folding knives. I'm starting to branch out and consider some good edc fixed knives.
Now that's a GOOD collection of knives.
NC MTN MAN Thanks! It's even better now!
+NC MTN MAN
He has more knives than Blade HQ, Knife Center, and Oso Grande combined, LOL!
Tops delta unit 3 is more heavy duty small fixed blade knife i think bro
@@WeAllJuggleKnives
Solid collection. Great review 👌
Kershaw skinner 1080 could have been included here as well.. Love that little knife!
I think that for edc Izula is better without those scales... I carry it now for few days, bought the first Izula few days ago and Im amazed
I have for some, see the individual reviews of the Nim Cub II and Blackjack 145, can't remember if I reviewed the others yet.
I think anza knives are now my favorite fixed blade knives sharp as hell and you can beat the shit out of them
The ESEE 4 would be a compromise to combine small and medium fixed blade categories into a single in-between length. That is a valid way to go, and if you want 1 knife instead of a 1 small knife supporting 1 large knife, you'll probably want the ESEE 4 rather than 3 or Izula.
I love my Izulu II.
I carry the S&W - SWMPF2CS. Sheath it comes with needs a better solid belt clip but it's a great razor sharp almost 4 inch edc belt knife for someone with larger size hands.
I love my Izula and also the BK-14 (BK-11 blade with Izula handle). My Amazon wish list grows every time you upload a video. Stop it! J/k
I could definitely make the argument that at least a few of these knives are tactical knives, but I don't think any are necessary dedicated tactical knives if that's what you meant. Some people will say that any knife made of a stainless steel with a coating to prevent blade blink is made for tactical purpose, but some people just like a colored blade. Good video
Welcome!
I own a sharp finger knife, made in Pakistan one of my edc, extremely good and useful and perfect size for the state of Connecticut 3 32s short of 4 inches, I simply love it. Great video!
cool, vid is approved!
very very nice knives, I'm a swiss army knives collector.
Not because of the tang, just because it is fairly short and thin, it is a lot more of a slicer than a chopper. The tang won't break, encased in the handle like it is.
The DPX has a better grip and the TOPS would need some work on the edge before it was high sharpness.
Great review. YEAH we need the 4' to 5" category.
How would you compare the Izula II to the ESEE3. Been looking at the ESEE3 and ESSE4. Can;tmake up my mind.
Which one would you pick if you only had th option to carry One and only one knife. So the knife would have to be decent at all tasks including self defense.
Thanks to add the Knives in the Comment List !
Which one is best for skinning small game? The Sharpfinger looks awesome
i like the condor mini bushlore and the tops mini scandi
Me too, I have the TOPS Mini Scandi now, too!
great vid,I am thinking about the BlackJack Necker. Is the hole big enough to use like a karambit?
I carry a elite tactical M-1022BK. I need a alternative sheath though.
BK11, I like the smooth finish better.
A few years ago ColdSteel made a mini "Bushman". It's made of SK-5 and is a great compact EDC knife. It's discontinued now but I got one about 10 years ago for $10. Have you ever seen one of these?
Hey do you have any suggestions on a good bush craft knife under $80?
Thanks, Caden
I'll check it out.
if i could get on of these two knives witch one of the following knives would be better: the DPX HEST vs Tops Mil-spie 3
I swear I thought I was subscribed to your channel before... oh well, sub'd again... I think
Nice vid!
how about the condor LEK? do you like it if youve ever had one or stuff like that?
I just carry a Mora Pro C. Cheap but effective!
4:38 for the win
Have you ever done or heard of any reviews of the White river backpacker? US made and s30v.
Nice
I would pick the DPX HEST
Fantastic info, saw some knives I haven't heard of before. I way prefer fixed EDC over folder. Thank you for another great vid.
can u make a video showing the sheaths of these knives?
is the "traction coating" on the isula not a negative point? like when you slice, you dont want traction.
hmm not sure
do you know what model knife is almost exactly like the small hunter but like only half the size?
Hi, what kind of steel does Benchmark Backpacker use? From what I read, some sources said it's 1095 high carbon and other sources said its 440. Thank you
I personally would have put the survivor Bowie knife because it's sharp and small but it has about a 4 1/2 in blade
not sure
nice
Marttiini Timberjack knife!
The Black Jack neck knife is 3' inch? So its 7.62 cm? :) It looks so beauty.
to put it to the point.. why what makes the DPX better then the Tops
dont know if you seen that show on the discovery channel i think its called dual survival or something it has the hippie guy and the army guy the hippie wears a neck knife that looks like the marttini knife you have not sure if it is. thx for the vid
