Great explanation tho the order was a bit confusing. I love poly cuz you can really take your time layering it. Which is also pretty great for learning how to use forms since it does not set so quickly as acrylic does. You really just can sit and relax finding the right amount to use and even if you mess it up like you showed. There is no problem with adding more after it has been cured. It's super nice. Happy to see someone explain and show that off so well! 👌

I just came across your channel. I’m so glad I did! I watch a lot of nail videos. So many nail creators repeat themselves five times in one sentence or talk in a monotonous voice and say things like “I love it so much” or “I’m so excited to try this kit.” You didn’t do this. You actually sound excited to be doing what you are doing. I love poly gel and I learned some tips. Thank you for the great video.

Very pretty mani and I 💜 the colors!! It looks to me that you’re using too much slip solution though. You can tell because your PolyGel looks a bit gummy. I know every PolyGel behaves differently, however when you dip your brush into the slip solution/alcohol, you should gently wipe both sides of the brush off on your dappen dish and/or pat excess off on a paper towel. The brush just barely needs to be damp before applying it to the PolyGel. Hope this helps 😉

I raced to the comments to say this very think, way too much slip, it breaks the product down so it can’t adhere properly to the base coat 😖😬

Thanks so much for this comment! I just did my nails for the very first time and cured everything and they still feel a little gummy...also thanks for the better descriptive word haha I was texting my cousin and was like well they aren't sticky and not soft...anyways, I had slip solution everywhere, that was probably the culprit. 😆

That happened to me too. Now I use builder gel as a base and then dip my nail. I cure for 60 seconds. I repeat the steps, curing each time, until I get the thickness I want. Then I use gel top and cure. You’re done. File if you need too. It’s really slick and there’s no odor.
