BA used to use background music?
I kinda hate it, glad that changed
I just watched this whole video knowing I would never make this in my life.
Allupinyourbuis
It looks so good but looks like it would take a day or two to get the ingredients and make D:
As someone making this pie now, it isn’t so bad. The only issue I’m having is the damn caramel, but even then, you could skip that part. Making a custard is easy. The worst part about this pie is probably rounding up coconut oil, vanilla bean pods, and MAYBE cream and half and half if you don’t keep that onhand. Not cheap, but hey.
You'll love tasty
Same! I hate coconut but I love Claire 😂
Welcome to UA-cam
How funny would it be if after she made the whole thing she did the taste test and was like "yeah I don't really care for coconut"
actually not that funny
Drew Cochran Haha yeah.
😂
Wouldn't complain if every recipe on this channel was by Claire
Or Brad...
Can't forget Brad.
I regularly make Clair recipes they always stick with me because they’re accessible but usually still always have an “extra mile” flair
Brad, Vinny, and Claire own this channel

I saw this video and afterwards had the intense urge to make this pie. I went to 5 different stores looking for vanilla beans because i wanted to make it exactly how she makes it. This is the most complex thing I've ever baked and it was a bit of a challenge but I have to say, it came out so incredible. Seriously the best thing I have ever made, maybe even the best pie I have ever tasted. I cannot believe i made that. When I finish it, I will have dreams about it. This pie has cured my depression and has helped me reach spiritual enlightenment. I highly recommend you try this recipe.
Love Claire, can never get enough of my baking goddess

Carla too
I love how precise Claire is. You can see she really puts so much effort into everything she makes. She's basically the opposite of Brad.
cometome255 she waits until she knows exactly what shes doing to tell others, but brad shows others while hes still experimenting because he wants to see what others suggest to make it better
She's not precise, quite the opposite. The measures in the video do not match the measures printed in the recipe.
Watching Claire cook is how I'm surviving self-quarantine.
Half-Sour Saffitz is crushing it!!!
Claire rules!! That pie looks amazing by the way :)
brad has introduced me to this channel now I watch every video
More Claire Please, ok thanks.
I've made this pie half a dozen times now. It's a standard. I always come back to watch again right before I make one.
I’ve made this pie twice now, once for my brothers birthday and then for Christmas. It has been such a hit, and it only gets easier with practice!
I just made this pie today and it was undoubtedly the BEST pie I’ve ever had! There’s a lot of steps which may seem intimidating, but take it step by step and it will come out amazing!
Looking for my man Brad in the back
Why? I don't get it
This show is nothing without Claire. She exudes grace, charm, poise and a level of winsomeness that is rare. Thank you.
claire is awesome. a baking genius. love how she breaks everything down, tells you why
Omg the old video format looks rlly weird and faked to me like everything seems scripted. So glad they changed that lmfao

*_Chris approved how the eggs were tempered._*
*She tempers eggs but not chocolate. Also how do you write in italics?*

I have a super crush on Claire. I am watching her videos on a loop non-stop.
Can't wait to try this! I think I'll swap out the whipped cream for the leftover egg whites and turn it into meringue. Thanks Claire!
Amazing...I love all your thoughtful little touches.
I love Claire and Brad these videos make my day a lil better
I love all things coconut - this pie is LIFE!
Seeing this woman makes my heart warm.

BA is one of my favorite cooking channels on youtube and Claire is one of my fave faces from the channel. I also really love her hair, I even bleached my bangs because she's rocking it. Also Brad from It's Alive is a fav, wish I could have a job like this!
watching claire and brad's cooking videos make me feel like i can actually cook these recipes :)
It''s so refreshing to see a laid back seemingly unscripted cooking tutorial host. Thanks Claire.
That coconut looks like a winner!, Thank you for sharing your recipe! Happy thanksgiving 🦃
Claire literally saving lives out here with this pie video❤❤
Just made this coconut pie. It’s delicious! I substituted with monk fruit sugar for the cream portions instead since sweeter won’t caramelized.
Wow, looks amazing!
Wow, this is a coconut cream pie I'd love to try. Great job, Claire!
I would love a slice. It's got to be heavenly.
Made it, came out great.
That pie looks amazing!
I love that pretty coconut cream pie you made and that is a nice looking pastry and I have to make some myself at home.
Who's watching in 2019?
This is such a long time ago
Claire has come a long way
I made it today! The recepie was really easy to follow and the result was stunning and delicious off course😂
Finally a good recipe for coconut cream pie nice job big fan of coconut
We love this pie!! I have made it twice since September. First for my husband's birthday and today because his "hints' about how much he loved "that coconut cream pie" were obvious. He seldom hints, and I thought he was a total Lemon Meringue guy. Now I know he is so much more!
it looks delicious, thank you
Looks amazing
Making this for Christmas!!
Looks great!
Can't wait to serve this for our Thanksgiving. It looks like the most amazing coconut cream pie i've ever seen.
I think I'm in love. Coconut is life.
Myrkskog yes!!
That's the best looking coconut cream pie I've ever seen.
I tried this last year..I took to a house party..everyone just loved it..I am trying again this Sunday..simply delious 😊
I have made this recipe so many times. I love how u incorporate coconut as many times as u can. It is out of this world. The only thing I did was sneak some cream of coconut in with the whipped cream. I go coo coo for the coconut 🥥 🌴🤪 but it is beyond perfection 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Ohmygod that looks amazing!
I made this pie for Easter and it was sooo good. Even my sorta-picky daughter who generally doesn't like pie enjoyed it. Thanks for the great video, Claire!
Made this once. Seriously the best pie
I made this pie. It took me like 4 hours (1/2 hour to figure out US measurements 😕) it's very difficult but the result is sth to show off. My caramel was to thick but it's not a problem (extra chewy), custard was too liqudy and that was a problem, so make sure to use enough of cornstarch. Pie was very sweet and rich, maybe I'll do it again in the future. Thanks to BA for this recipe!😘
Love you, Claire!
Yes please!!!
This is my dream pie. I love caramel, coconut and pie.
YUM. I'm gonna make this next weekend.
Love love love love love
I am not a fan of coconut cream pies, but you had me at coconut caramel layer. That caramel layer alone will make me make this pie.
Claire can make a video about making literally ANYTHING eatable, and I wouldn't be able to keep myself from watching and obsessing over it!
Made this pie last night... A M A Z I N G !!! It's a bit time consuming but it's very worth it!! Thanks Claire! Will be making it again many times :D
Mmmm looks delicious!
Okay, so I made this over the past few days. I ended up using two coconuts for this recipe. I shredded and toasted most of the white coconut flesh, and then shaved off about 1/2 cup of the flesh to toast and use for the topping. I do suggest looking up the written directions as well, because Claire (who's phenomenal!) makes it look so easy and there are some key details I needed in the written instructions especially with the caramel and custard components. All the ingredients are pretty cheap except for the Vanilla Bean (which is essential in the custard's flavor). I also used a whole pack of graham crackers (8) for the crust. The pie turned out amazing and was a big hit at the family Christmas dinner. People who normally don't like coconut flavored items loved this pie. 10/10 Thanks, Bon Appetit!
Claire is so great. cant get enough.
The caramel! GENIUS!!
My favorite pie 💕💕💕
Yet another rad recipe from Claire!
I was so glad to see you strained the cooked filling. It always grosses me out to think there are little clumps of egg or whatever in it. I know, I'm probably a bit extreme about that.
Your recipe looks like a dream for those of us who love coconut. The added coconut caramel sounds soooo delicious!
What a great idea, caramel on the bottom layer. So good. Thanks for the share.
Looks even better than Baker's Square ;)
Half-Sour staffitz!
Yumm!! Girl, yess! All that coconut will make it taste very Polynesian-y....I will sooo try to make this!
Wow i was literally trying to come up with a coconut cream pie recipie and then I see this in my inbox ❤️❤️
fernables I'll put a creampie in your inbox
HAVOK586 ok that's actually funny hahaha
I have made it few times I love
The only thing is when I add the heavy cream the caramel hardens immediately I’m making it for church this weekend I’ll try warming the heavy cream ❤😊
Yes that happened to me also.
the editing has gotten much better
I love coconut so much that I get a little annoyed at anyone who doesn't 😶
Beautiful crust assembly, Claire
the caramel is a great idea. i had peanut brittle with coconut a few years ago, it made me like both peanut brittle and coconut. i wish i wouldn't have remembered it because i haven't been able to find it in so long
Whos only hear to watch claire cus her vids are the best??👌
Yum!
I love you Dream Woman! Keep on cookin!
