Really enjoying watching your progress. You seem pretty handy! Its a shame about the metal panels. The plastic may degrade in a few decades. Maybe not though as it is UV light which causes a lot of the degradation so maybe the moss will provide enough protection against that.
Being a Kansan, I can't help but think of the sod cabins built by the settlers of the old Kansas Territory. I suppose when your materials are the land and what grows on it, you do what you have to do.
