It's wild to me that you shared that this was one of the most difficult things in your life, and the Mormons have come out swinging. There's no hate quite like Mormon love.
Leaving my faith was the hardest thing I have ever done. Now I am the happiest that I have ever been or thought possible. I support you 100% and am proud of you. What you did was crazy difficult and you survived. Not many people actually know what it takes. You got this, keep going!

Sad..... Yeah im inactive mormon but i will never call myself ex mormon ! ill prepare myself to get back to the church again...coz i know The Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints is Lords True church ..
The Mormons in the comments are coming in droves to say he did the wrong thing. I think that sucks. He’s living authentically and has an authentic, unconditional family love. That is more wholesome than any Mormon doctrine. Religion shouldn’t hold you back from your true self and if it is it should be examined.
Hope that as an ex-Mormon you are still running to God not the other way around
We still love you David! It's sad that not only have you chosen to leave the Church of Jesus Christ, but that you are outright mocking the very faith you believed & taught as a missionary. God lives & loves you for who you are; but I don't think He is pleased with this behavior.
The thing is that it's very different when you convert than when you're born into it. He didn't have a choice and he was taught that being himself was wrong.
It makes me feel happy when a person discovers themselves.

I'm not Mormon and I understand why you don't want to be part of the church however I don't understand why you're rejecting the good morals and values it brought to your life.

I fully support your freedoms, but your recent high profile attacks against your childhood faith are not necessary and I believe you will come to regret what you are doing. I pray that you will find it in your heart to let go of the anger and just quietly move on with your life. You are breaking this mom/grandma‘s heart.
