@@zachrichardson7099 Example : MANY men are firmly against women breastfeeding their children in public despite the act being necessary and completely non sexual. Many women will also cover themselves with a blanket during the act of breastfeeding and are frequently exposed to harassment because they need to feed their baby. This is a great example of just one of the meanings behind the quote “A woman’s body is viewed as offensive as soon as it isn’t shown for the pure pleasure of men.” We can also take fashion and clothing as another example. Women are frequently subject to sexual harassment and assault because they were ‘asking for it’ due to their choice of clothing. A woman choosing to show her body in any way that isn’t for the pleasure of men puts her at risk. Even female children’s bodies are sexualised and it’s one of the main reasons you don’t see young girls going around topless nearly as much as young boys. There are many meanings behind this quote but as you can see above, I’ve named just a few.
@@justaperson5095 thanks for the clarification, as a teenaged boy at an all boys school with no female interaction past my female teachers, my mother and my sister, i’m a bit out of touch with gender issues.
I've heard people say they are sick of being a woman or a girl but I'm here to say I'm so proud of being a girl. Because every man on the earth is a creation of women.Even though they don't know the world runs on the hands of women. The world underrated the power of women for years, but now women have started raising their voices and fighting for their rights. This is just the beginning, Women will show how powerful they can be and will make the world a better place.
Men already have a disadvantage anyway Girls have empowerment so your point does not make sense, I hit a girl and said girls are weak as she was annoying in my school. She hit me from behind kicked me and beat me up as I was crying. I would do anything to get out of it, but girls are still really weak, but gosh that was a really embarrassing moment. And I got suspension as they said" You should never hit a girl".Men on top though.
@@ryangenia4974 you should've never beaten a girl, not because they are weak or not because they have less power, just because of how much tears and sweat your mother has spent for you. The girl you beat is someday a mother she will raise people like you someday. There may be men on top, but there is a powerful woman behind every successful man, his mother, wife, or daughter who sacrificed their life for your glory, They deserve a chance to shine themselves. I appreciate gender equality.
@@hansi29 And you know she also hit me I was suprised as she was younger and skinny, how she was strong. But if I had the chance I would of beaten her I couldn't see.
@@ryangenia4974 In a case like that, the girl doesn't get punished because she is a girl, It comes from the fact that I said before, They don't respect what the girl did, they just respect whole women kind, and everyone accepts that treating a woman or girl kindly and respectfully is a gentleman quality. And also no dought about it, men have more body strength than women, so they must never use it to torture a woman or girl. I had a friend who is a bit talkative and she say anything straight to anyone's face. So a boy in his class was angry with her for something stupid she said and one day he blamed her and called her bitch in front of the whole class which made her so upset and she didn't like to come to school after that thing. In the meantime, I had a big crush on that guy but after hearing he called a girl like that I didn't even care he exist. Underestimating a girl doesn't make anyone a gentleman."You should never beat a woman or a girl" is a rule created by society, to equalize the fact that men have more body strength than women.
Damn. This made me cry. I don’t think we are told that we matter, enough. It is so so hard sometimes to be afraid you’ll get attacked, to be accused that you’re “too sexy” for wearing your favorite lipstick, to be questioned about your work ability, your motives…. Your talent. To be told that because you cry, and show emotion, that you’re a “typical woman,” that because you are ambitious, you are calculating. Watching this video was like a warm hug from someone you love, saying “it’s going to be ok.”
I am the exact same as you. I honestly can’t take it anymore. Everyday on the internet you will see something that oppresses women and it’s effecting my mental health so much that I can’t. It’s so so hard to make people understand that what they say effects a lot of people but this society no one cares and calls you ‘emotional’

If a woman is saying: "I'm worried of men because I've had bad experiences in the past". It is not a moment for men to say "not all men", it is a moment to listen.
exactly! "not all men" is a perfectly rational phrase but when a man interjects in the middle of a conversation with someone talking about their bad experiences they can cut the crap and flush it into the sewage. of course we know not all men are horrible people. but we also tell kids never to go too far from their parents because a stranger might get them. do all strangers like to kidnap children? obviously not. do even the majority of strangers think about it at all? definitely no. but the fact that some of them may be dangerous is enough for people to say that. so why can't the same people see that women may be wary of men because some of them might be out to hurt them? weird shit man
@hello bruh lol there's a difference between robbing someone and raping someone. For robbing someone you don't have any regards on however they look like or just anything at all you only want their possesion but for raping someone it means you want to get into their pants respective to how their body type is not what their wearing. In that case doesn't matter if you're wearing a skirt, Jean or shorts you will get hurt no matter what you're wearing. How inconsiderate of you to say that. It's like telling a victim it's their fault for being raped. How sick.
@hello bruh i like how you said “wearing a skirt isn’t an invitation… except when it is.” i really love that you said that, iconic!! it’s almost like you missed the point entirely 😍 (the point: wearing a skirt shouldn’t make you seem more vulnerable. how is wearing a skirt in the hood more dangerous than wearing pants? it shouldn’t be. that’s the point. it’s inherently sexist.)

@hello bruh well you know, women were not given equal rights from like since when we can remember, women were always told to dress in certain ways or like your job is to stay in the kitchen and raise kids (honestly presuming you're a guy it's more like going and telling a man like go to construction site and start working since you belong there kinda thing) and despite the whole world discouraging them saying patriarchy is better than feminism or women should not be given equal rights and despite being labeled as weak, emotional, sensitive etc they fought so much for so many centuries and got the freedom they wanted. Hence, she's proud to be a woman :)
Also have you noticed when a man executes a project and tells people their roles and parts, he's called a good leader but when a woman does the same she's called bossy. Being born with certain parts doesn't mean she doesn't have the same brain so the execution of both projects statistically will be equal but here we are. And another thing is periods. If men were the ones who had periods instead of women they would be praised for their masculinity but since it's a woman they say she's overreacting. Then there are obviously those weird women who say men are the wallets (like how some weird men always say women are objects and nothing more) yet they don't realize the contributions both genders make to the world. Like as a housewife and a working guy for example. When the guy goes for work he'll know that there's someone at home to keep his children nourished and protect them while he's gone etc the same way for a woman she'll do her chores at home knowing there's someone who's working his ass of for her family. And now in the present both genders are educated and working so now the pressure is not always on the guy he can enjoy time with his buds, his family and if he has children he can actually enjoy fatherhood rather than having to work all day while a woman gets to do things on the other sides then switch when they feel like it. Having women also working now has brought the economy at such higher levels since women is 50 percent of the world and since majority of girls now want to work economy grows rapidly. There are so many perks of a feministic society.

in the times of the inventions ur referring to women weren’t even allowed to invent things because it “wasn’t their place” and even if they did achieve something it usually would’ve been attributed to a man.
you look down on women for what, because they were oppressed? aren’t you black? that’s like me saying “you black people should know your place as slaves because you didn’t colonise this land or invent these smart phones”
“You're not put on this Earth to make others' life easier so be inconvenient" That was so important

*”A woman’s body is viewed as offensive as soon as it isn’t shown for the pure pleasure of men.”*
Say what? Who said that? Where did that even come from?
@@zachrichardson7099 u live under a rock my dude?
@@bubblysaturn5203 essentially yes, please explain
@@zachrichardson7099 Example : MANY men are firmly against women breastfeeding their children in public despite the act being necessary and completely non sexual. Many women will also cover themselves with a blanket during the act of breastfeeding and are frequently exposed to harassment because they need to feed their baby.
This is a great example of just one of the meanings behind the quote “A woman’s body is viewed as offensive as soon as it isn’t shown for the pure pleasure of men.”
We can also take fashion and clothing as another example.
@@hansi29 but how come she did not get a suspension.

For robbing someone you don't have any regards on however they look like or just anything at all you only want their possesion but for raping someone it means you want to get into their pants respective to how their body type is not what their wearing. I’m Arab too and luckily my family treat me and my siblings equally, unfortunately I had to leave my own country to get the rights that I deserve because my country only cares about religion and not basic human rights.
I remember one time my grandma told me that if I get married my husband should control me I couldn’t believe that my own grandma said that I don’t talk to her anymore and I do not give a flying f about her.
Lupita your speech was everything😢❤
this is the most gorgeous video i've seen in a while.. thank you for this
It is ironic that many men say "not all men are like that", and? what are you waiting for? that we applaud you for respecting me and treating me as an equal, for complying with human rights and knowing where is the limit of your freedom ??? Do you want me to applaud you for doing what we all must do? No. We aren't talking about you, and if you weren't like all those "not all men" you wouldn't say it, because respect is shown, it isn't said
