Demonstration of Hallicrafters SX-99 Receiver

This is a very nice SX-99. Very clean inside. Case sustained some scratches during estate sale. Still one of the nicest SX-99's I have seen. Works perfectly on all bands.

My second shortwave radio was the Hallicrafters SX-99. I spent hours, hell years, listening to it. My first radio was the S-38D by Hallicrafters.
That was a long time ago.

I just picked one of these up from an elderly neighbor and it seems to be in good working condition. Other than just hooking up a single copper wire and a jumper between other 2 antenna connections, what other options are there for antennas? You seem to have great reception with your radio? I am a newbie so please excuse my lack of knowledge. Thanks in advance.
