"Some days I'd happily exchange the quiet of everyday life for the booming of adventure, but I will admit that I'd miss the warmth. So I guess it's a good thing that, with this bundle of thieves, a witch, a god, a sailor and an inventor with me, by my side, suddenly I don't feel the cold." -Some lady by a campfire, probably.

@Penny Williams B and V are phonetically close and many languages only have one way to pronounce that. Like how in Japanese R and L are interchangeable because they are phonetically close.

This song makes me want to go out and see the world, or to look at my life and think hard about the good, the bad, and the hot pockets, Rush's songs are always so... authentic, I can FEEL them, not many artists make pieces that resonate with me like this, thank you Rush

This music would fitt perfectly in any gibli movie ost. Your description makes sense too, i Think many of the artist that make the music we remember most fondly in movies like that, get their inspiration just like that and simply uses the jargon for it and chords to keep it consistent with a particular mood.

Rush, I just read the description of this piece for the first time. You're the only other person I've ever found that thinks the same way.
My mind just comes up with melodies, or I recall fragments of songs I last heard years ago, and give my own spin on them absentmindedly while I'm doing somehing else. I've been looking for someone who thinks in music for years now and ive finally found someone else.
You don't know how happy I am. I've felt deep emotions tied to every piece you've written, especially the sketches, and now they'll wield even more weight in my soul. Thank you, truly.

  • @TechnoCinemaMusic
    @TechnoCinemaMusic 4 роки тому +4

    Firstly, this is absolutely beautiful!
Secondly, I feel like I can relate to how your mind operates. When something inspires me, whether it's this track, a painting, a book, or the tiniest bit of sound from a street corner, my brain will spontaneously convert it into inspiration for a new track. It's often hard to keep up with the new ideas sometimes, and I usually have no control over when it happens, but I never get tired of it. Music is how I tell my stories, and the more I practice, the more fleshed out those stories will become.

    You are definitely not crazy.
I have a somewhat similar thinking style when I just... dream? it's.. my default state of mind that I switch to whenever I lose focus. i might smell, hear, see something and i start imagining things, some beautiful, sometimes nostalgic, sometimes sad. I can't explain it in words, it's a.... feeling.
this didn't help me survive society, where I live is one of the most fast paced and efficiency oriented countries in the world, and dreamers have no place here. but I still hang on to it. no, that's not quite right, I dont have to hang on to it. I have this way of thinking because its who I am and what I truly live for, even if it makes life harder.
I truly respect your ability to Express yourself through music, I was too bossed around and too scared when I was young to dedicate myself to an artistic craft. now I'm somehow trying to balance time to study with drawing and writing. it's what keeps me going. but anyway. your music is beautiful. keep going.
Ps. your music, by the way, makes me dream of a more beautiful, calmer world. if I had to make a story of it, it would belong to the next world, a calmer and more beautiful place where people could finally return to whom they used to be or truly are.

    • @masquerademage

I'm like you. Always in my head, my own world, dreaming about whatever my imagination feels like creating. I've wondered for a while if this tendency to dream is why I'm always behind in life. I spend so much time dreaming that I feel like the real world has no place for me.
It's nice to see that I'm not alone in this, so thank you for putting this out there. Means a lot to me.

In this time of turmoil, struggle and pain, in this time of world calamity and personal struggles, this song reminded me of why we live. I resonate with that description. I never learned music theory but my ears have picked up the harmonies. I learned piano by ear, and I'll sit for literal hours just soaking in and creating. I was playing with racketballs in my room and making cool beats with them. It's like the world is our orchestra, and if we listen closely enough... we'll find something beautiful at every turn; at every street corner, mountain top, and sand dune. It reminds me of something Jesus said when he entered Jerusalem: If you tell them to be silent, the rocks will cry out. Birds glide as the bow across its strings while thunder strikes on its ancient drums. Trees sway and the Lillies dance, the river does the waltz and the wolves sing acapella, all of us looking towards the Holiest of Holies. Your music is an inspiration Rush. Thanks.

I tend to see lots of comments about what music sounds like or where it feels like it belongs, but I've never thought those things. To me, this music simply feels good. I have no other way to describe my few most favourite songs and this most certainly stands above all of them. It feels good in a way I cannot truly describe. It feels good the same way it feels good to stand and observe a flowing forest. It feels good the same way it feels good to take in a fresh breath of cool autumn air. It just feels good. Great painters see places and people in swaths of color, composition, and texture.
Great writers see places and people in characters, conflict, history, and story.
Great musicians hear music in everything around them, a beat, a noise, a melody and harmony.

Each one of these feels like a different world. A different setting. One of the biggest things with me and music is how it gets my mind running about the story. I usually write whilst listening to music. I have almost an unhealthy addiction with very solemn and deep stories that stem from an orchestral piece. And there isnt anyone out there who gets my mind running like your pieces do. I really want to thank you for this, its helped to take my mind off things which have been happening in my life, and of course, the world at large. Maybe you should start a writing group? It always seems like some people share the same energy for it as me by writing short stories in the comments. Take care man, and thank you for more high quality music.

Frankly Rush we are all insane in our ways. I've been writing stories ever since I was a little and yet now that I'm working on a full length novel I find myself distracted by the everyday stories I see all around me. Just as you hear melodies, I see stories and unique worlds. Without people like us, and others with similar talants, the arts would be nothing more than the technical jargon used to explain them. Insanity, or creativity as I call it, gives the arts a life of their own.

Y’know this really cheers me up after what happened to me earlier. Well it’s sorta happened to me all of my life, but I always hold in any emotions and try to figure things out on my own. I’m weak, and I know it. All humans are weak in there own way. I try to put up with it, but in the end I always come to the same solution. I’m weak. When those emotions come bursting out, I usually go to a quiet place and try to, well calm down, but I never can. That’s why I like listening to this type of music. It calms me down the most.

    Hi Rush,
I too often think differently and see things in different ways. I cant remember a time when I WASNT thinking and smtns it gets tiring or the complexity of my thoughts can lead me to be solemn. Not sad or depressed but smth deeper, that just like u cant explain ur thought process, I cant explain mine. I often feel alone because of this. BUT one of the only things that keeps me going is music. And because of ur different way of thinking and discovering music in ordinary life, my life becomes calm and i can focus and collect my thoughts. I want to thank you for having an outlook on life thats more beautiful and unique than the blandness of others💜

I have looked always for your next one because the melody is always so nice it nearly reminds me of the time I heard an angel sing to me and I remember that every since I heard it. So keep up the good work play your own melody until you feel like it's time to take a break. So don't push yourself too much, but you will help those who know you. I find that this song is ultimately about loss of curiosity and inspiration as you grow older. And also impermanence, by having the main voice and theme’s instrument and key change over the course of the song, it really helps with the “step forward” and “growing up” feeling the song gives off. I stood in the valley watching the youth go, they walked, to the very edge of the auburn orange sea before turning around, casting another look at the small town too small to hold him, at the distance he had already gone, at me, his friend. He waved, like he had done so countless times in the preceding days as practice, like he had done to his family, and everyone else. But only I knew what it meant, to the other town goers it was a goodbye, another child travelling to the unknown never to return. To me, to us, it was a signal, the signal for the beginning of a story. An adventure, and an adventure always needed a place to return. I waved back, just like I had practised countless times with him and he began his trek. I watched him walk his first few tottering steps before he disappeared, swallowed by the shining undergrowth and shadowy canopies.
We didn't need to say goodbye because there was no need to, there was no tears because there was no need to weep. We had done so countless times in preparation for this day. So I looked at the journey ahead, the journey he'd have to take and the journey I would eventually make when I became old enough. At the orange sea that stretched forever, only to be met with the mountain-like clouds and the cloud-like mountains and the border between that blurred at times. The large Orbules, filled with sparkling magic that seemed to reveal stars that twinked even in the day. But beneath the towering enormity of the three lay a smaller one, the middle of the lake where we would often play. The island called the Eye of Memories, at least only to us. I didn't dare to look away, because I was afraid, afraid it would disappear, that without my friend, and his laughter and his strange faces all I had lived would unravel, like a distant dream or illusion, but it stayed without shifting.
We had made a promise, I would leave this town before he could return, he would be the best explorer and I the best discoverer. Together we would uncover mysteries beyond our small town, so I took one step towards the lake, and then another, and before I took my last into the lake itself, light gathered about my feet and I found I could not force my feet under the water. I only needed to take one step forward and I would be gone. But I didn't, I only smiled and watched the light dance, because one day, in the near future, that step would be taken hundreds and thousands of times and I need only wait.

This is beautiful and my brain is sitting here with me thinking were you looking at the moon? Or a forest? Or an old childhood toy? Or maybe you got really emotional over a potato because you were going to make chips. I'm curious to know your thoughts on this piece though. It's so beautiful and rich.
I honestly look at the world a little different thanks to you. I don't hear melodies in my head. But I do look at the world and objects and wonder what tune suits them. It's unusual but fascinating.

I was just thinking about this while listening to your music, but it would be really awesome to see an orchestration of oogway ascends.

Such a LAME song(What this actually means is that he finds it pleasingly calm, sad and beautiful at the same time and when he heard the birds chirping he felt nostalgic but he also feels inspired for he himself is a musicians who sought to connect to people with his music, this piece made him remember even though he went through hardships in his life music was the only thing in his life that could comfort him,as he was searching for a beautiful array of music he found an artist,an inspiration,a musician in which all of his music made him cry and smile RUSH GARCIA and he wants to thank him from the bottom of his heart).

Great piece Rush! You've got the chops alright :)
(Sorry to be that guy, but...) would you mind letting me in on what you are using for that gorgeous melody at 5m50s? Piano layered with some sort of bell (with some awesome verb obviously) right? Probably my fav moment in the piece for me.

I don't know what he used, but it sounds like a mix between a Celesta and a marimba to me

@@fluffytheostrich3878 Cheers. Yeh I was thinking celeste, but there is a bit of a percussive quality that isn't usually in celestes, but that might be the miramba. Thanks

Couches do make dope ass beats tho. Especially the ones that are mildly hollow, you can just hit the back of it and it's basically a drum.

@Rush Garcia , sounds a lot like you may have something akin to audio-visual synesthesia. It's a very rare and interesting condition that allows certain parts of the brain to blend together in ways most people's minds cannot. I've heard of certain people who would "taste" certain words if they spoke them, or could "see" sounds (i.e. would see colors and/or shapes in correlation to certain sounds). It's extremely rare and often considered a gift (though some forms can be rather annoying, a la "tasting words").

Ah Rush, you might have what's called synesthesia. It's a really interesting ability and one might even say a gift.
