"Please remember me", those are the words of the boy who has no identity and lives alone with his dog in a bunch of hopes to meet other people. Before he dies, he wants to be remembered at least by his wolf. He wants to be known that he existed in this world. This is so sad.
Imagine if it wasn't Fushi he was talking to but the real Joann, after Joann's inevitable death there would be literally no one to remember about the boy. It's just that he was lucky enough to have met Fushi so that now his legacy would be carried on by him.

To Your Eternity is a series that makes me cry almost every episode. I'm still recovering from Episode 12 which is why I decided to arrange the soundtrack.
It's a beautiful, emotional, and heart wrenching series, and it's my top 3 2021 Spring anime.
Words just can't describe the different emotions I feel and experience while watching this series.
I HIGHLY recommend if you are looking for a unique and amazing storyline.
There’s a motif that played on the clarinet at about 4:18 in the first ep that was repeated at the VERY end of ep 12 when Rean was staring at the stars… I’m proud to admit that was the moment where I started to sob. As a fellow musician I just want to share my love for that one melody

@@jerrythetick I wonder, it was spoken through one of the characters that the deceased are following Fushi; if it's not just a methaphor, couldn't he technically produce their bodies (like he does with fruits or weapons) for them to resurrect?
@@maxisaev568 Yes probably, in around chapter 60 it appear that Fushi can resurrect someone by copying their body. So he probably will revive the gang later. I'm still around ch 60 so I may be wrong but I see everyone saying that he'll revive the gang so maybe he will

You gotta wait half a year cuz it’s gonna have 20 episodes.
Usually takes 8 or more days for 1 episode to come. So yeah, Not to mention, all of the episodes ends EXACTLY 25 minutes.

@@Woodsaras How is the swing a cliche? Also it *does* work. The swing is a image associated with childhood. It's often accustomed with a duo swing. When the swing is alone, without anyone, it gives a feeling of isolation. So with that together, it thematically fits naruto.

Gugu's arc was the best for me. I broke down for hours crying over his death. T_T His personality, backstory, hardships, and the dynamic friendship of him and Fushi won over me.

As an anime watcher, I'm always looking for stories and characters that make me feel things, that make me react in some way. I want shows to stick, to "leave scars" that will remind me of them. 10 years from now I want to say "I can't remember the details, but this is that one anime that broke my heart or made me laugh, made me cry my eyes out, made me relate, made me contemplate, made me fall in love again with anime". That being said, To Your Eternity will definitely stay with me for a long, long time.

Exactly this and so well said. This is exactly what I strive for as well, as an anime watcher. This anime definitely fulfills those desires.
As a manga reader this hits even harder. I remember reading the first chapter years ago, and I was quietly bawling as I read. The first chapter itself felt like a whole one shot story, but as I read the entire first act of the series, man oh man did the feels hit stronger and stronger. And finally after years of waiting the anime released, and with added the visuals and music I cried all over again.

Now after wathcing the last episode of season 1, I can guarantee that this anime will stay with me probably forever. It make me feel thing that I don't think I ever feel in any other anime.

I don't normally cry. I hadn't cried since my Grandmother's funeral back in '04. But this Anime ripped my heart out.
That's why I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this is my favorite Anime. It strikes deep, right into the pit in which my soul resides. The only other thing I have ever been so moved by was the love of my life.
What that says about me as a person, I will never know.
But it speaks volumes about the Anime.

The real thing about this anime, is that it doesn't "satisfy our wants/wishes". I don't know if you feel the same, but I think the characters are written in an unique way that makes you fall in love with them even if you can't fully relate to them, the bound created is impossible to describe with words. This anime literally shows you what you want to see (Fushi becoming more human as he goes ahead with his grand voyage) and don't want to see (Nameless Boy dying so young and fading like the snow does after winter season, March not being able to be an adult, Parona suffering her sister's death etc...) all at once. It's a true masterpiece, such to be considered the best anime of 2021.
When I first watched it in middle school with a buddy, I felt as if my heart shattered from each death in the show, and the way that the story is written and how some deaths are discovered by Fushi through him transforming into his dead comrades. It was probably one of the most depressing shows I’ve ever watched.
I'm so happy you're making your version of To your eternity OST!! This anime has made me cry 3 times and broke me many more times in just 12 episodes, it's one of the best anime this year!!

@@nrc345 that's the thing, even though we know we shouldn't get attached to the characters, because we all know Fushi being immortal will keep outliving everyone he meets along his journey, we can't help but get attached. Like every single character will die one day, they are all normal humans afterall. 😢

This anime keeps making me feel things just so it can crush me later. I can only describe this rean and gugu arc with two words: brutally beautiful. Really few shows managed to tell such a memorable romantic story and this one did it in 7 episodes. Cant wait to hear your arrangement of that love theme. Dayum what a scene that was….

Violet Evergarden did a touching story in 1 episode, their episode 10 is equally as good. Stein's Gate last 12 episode and 86 episode 9, 11 and 24.

To Your Eternity is one of the best and most moving and emotional anime television series of all time, especially today. I already want to see its third season, I'm looking forward to it.

As a New guy to anime , This is one of the anime which can break your heart in every episode. You can't recover from it . Hats off to the Writer first of all. She picked up a very distinct and unique Concept. The soundtracks , showcasing of the characters , the setting everything are on the next level. I am sure this anime is going to be the best anime of 2021 .

I give 9/10 for this anime. At first, i just randomly watch it and i just got WOW in the first episode. And then i just watching it weekly when it uploaded in youtube. When this ost play, i know that some dust really try to enter my eyes, and they did it.
The denial parona showed at march's death, gugu not being able to be with rean, oopa, uroy, mia being taken over by the nokkers, pioran giving herself over to fushi, tonari's wish for fushi, kohaku's arm returning fushi to the sphere, bon's sacrifice, march's longing to be with her child. It is all still fresh.

everything about this anime is flawless, the soundtrack is beyond beautiful, the character development is ON POINT.
It may be my favorite anime of all time.

This anime just has my heart. It reminds me of those great times where I watched anime with unique characters that would stick with me forever after. An anime that will make you feel and you get sucked into the story and their world. Honestly, I haven't been this excited in a while to watch. Such a great show, I highly recommend it to everyone.

well i saw one reel of it on youtube, so i search it up, it was not romance anime so i started this anime(lol). then after the 1st episode i dropped it, i literally watched berserk before this, i can't take it, then i continue it after 1 week. literally this anime is on my top 5 now. i don't know why it didn't become popular

My gosh, this anime is probably among the most beautiful things I have ever seen! It is the first time in probably many, many months that I have shown true emotion to something. For me, in some ways, it does feel good to cry... The violins at the beginning are so beautiful (for some I have always felt some sort of strange emotional attachment to violins, cellos, pianos, anything that sounds and is similar, ect for it always brings me DEEP familiarity and nostalgia). I liked the first episode so much- it wrapped up so beautifully, that I just stopped because the story told in that one episode was so beautiful, though sad, that I didn't want to touch it again! It was perfect with just one episode, I didn't dare risk ruining the experience! ^-^'

I remember watching To Your Eternity when it was releasing and man it was such a rollercoaster of emotions. One of my favourite series of all time for sure. Listening to the OSTs from To Your Eternity fills me with so much emotions and I just can't explain them. So beautiful.

Made by the writer of A Silent Voice, she definitely has a gift for drama because despite the supernatural elements, this is a very human story. Even though the nameless boy found peace and was reunited with his loved in the afterlife, you just felt his plight.
Actually, he doesn't. He's with Fushi this whole time. At least Fushi is making his dream true, to see world and met new people.

The best way to deliver a message is through emotions and what is the only emotion we won't forget is sadness,that boy had to die to show us how much life is precious and how basic things like sweets and fruits made the world to that boy,even though he died a pace of him still live inside euch Of Us,and that to help us always remember that we must make the best out of our lives.
Death is inevitable so let's all live happy and move forward for a better life.
